Alright, everyone asks "what is the first anime you ever watched"? Well, this question is what is the first anime you ever really got into.
I know we've all watched something that really started us loving other things around it, so what is yours?

The first anime I saw was probably ThunderCats or Voltron, but the one that really got me into wanting to find more was Sailor Moon.
I watched it years ago on TV and was really into it. The love died down for a while, then came the invention of the fansub on the internet. I watched seasons of Sailor Moon I had never seen before (as only the first two had ever come out here at that point) and the love grew again.
Now it's a full blown obsession. sweatdrop But in short, it was Sailor Moon that brought me to where I am today.

Vampire Hunter D on the Sci Fi Channel way back when they still had that anime weekend thing. It was a thing of beauty(even dubbed) and I still love the movie.

Can you still name all 151 and sing the poke rap? I probably can name the first 151, but I singing to pokerap is taking things too far. That's what dvd's are for.

Battle of the Planets or G-Force or whatever other name that series actually has was my first anime that I didn't know was an anime. It wasn't until Sailor Moon hit the airwaves in the 90s that I got into watching anime that I knew was anime. And Fushigi Yuugi hooked me for life. 3nodding

Honestly it wasn't quite anime it was Watership Down. It was the first time I watched an animation and was amazed, horrified, raised up all at the same time. Then I got addicted to Ronin warriors, and Sailor Moon. Once I found the wonderful world of the fan sun it was full steam ahead.

The first anime I watched was Pokemon. But that was before I knew what anime was. In high school i heard about it and the first anime i watched/manga i read, on my own terms was Slayers.
