I am very sorry for leaving without saying a word, however I still wont be very active for a while now. My Dad who is just 49 yrs old has liver cancer. The outlook isnt too good, a 5cm tumor is considered both big and bad and his tumor is 16 cm. The only way to cure liver cancer is by surgery or a transplant and he cant do the surgery because of the size of the tumor.
However the liver and your skin are both similar in that they can regenerate. So I am about to undergo a bunch of tests to see if I can be a living donor. This means I would give him 60% of my liver and in a few months mine would grow back not quite like new, but close enough.
So here is my message, dont be afraid to go to the doctor if you are feeling off. The big problem with liver cancer that makes it so deadly is that it is almost never diagnosed early. I know money can get tight and you might not want to spend it on multiple tests, but in the end its worth it. Once a year check ups can spot any possible small problems before they become big ones.
I'll try to keep in touch as much as I can.
