So, the true NaNo goal is just to get down 50,000 words right? They can be about anything, and this year I fully intend to write them about anything.
The saying goes something like "a picture is worth a thousand words," or so I've heard. Well, I've collected over 50 random pictures, scenes, photos, anything that looked interesting or inspiring, anything that held a story, from various stock photo and image sites over the past few months, and stored them away to be forgotten about until November.
You know what kind of pictures I'm talking about. The ones that just make you sit back and think "Hmm, there's a story here somewhere..." It's the kind of picture or photo that makes your eyes widen and your fingers itch, maybe even makes your heart flutter a little. Ok maybe I'm being a little figurative...
So my plan is to randomly select a couple pictures a day and just write on them - whatever pops into my mind. I might start with one particular pic I have of an old rusty lock on two barn doors, since I kind of snuck a peek at the folder I kept all these images in.
So is anyone else doing anything out of the ordinary, or stepping out of their usual NaNo comfort zome this year? I probably will still work on a novel, but the 50 photos for 50,000 words project will be my main task this November
