Okay, ifrst of all, if you are into intense fighting animes and buxom girls. this isn't your anime. How ever if you have a succinct taste for animes with cute theme songs, mixed with sci=fi and japanese mythology, then watche Mushishi.
In a parallel world, the live creatures called mushi, the simplest life forms considered life itself. Like bacteria, they are able to infect people and also co exist in nature. Some take the mushi lightly, others find them as deamons. The story follows a man named Ginko, a Mushi Master, and his ventures of dicovering new cases of mushi and trying to help people who have problems with them.
I have only watched the first five episodes of the series, but it has already become one of my favorite animes. Hell, even my mom likes it (I can tell becasue she didn't fall asleep in the middle of each episode).

I own the DVD because I love it so much! My fav episode is the one with the blind girl and the travelling swamp.

In the manga you can see all the mistakes that the artist has made and its not digitally enhanced so that may be why I love it so much.
