Actually, don't donate directly to the guild.
Guild money can ONLY be used for building up the guild. That's what I heard. You won't be able to use them for items.

PLEASE DONATE TO VICE CAPTAIN OR CAPTAIN (PLEASE WRITE IN TRADE "FOR GUILD!!! SO WE KNOW THE GOLD IS FOR THE GUILD, SO WE CAN GET ENOUGHT GOLD TO BUY A BRAND NEW MONTHLY COLLECTABLE (unlesse someoen wants to donate one) FOR THE NEXT CONTEST!!

Gaia keeps periodically saying that Guild funds will eventually have other uses, but for now all you can do with it is buy subforums. After a while, you run out of Forum ideas and have a lot of excess gold you can't use. "Vashes United" has over 70,000 gold sitting in the Guild account. eek
You folks may want to make a Mule for the Guild, so that all donations can be sent to one account. They can also be acknowledged on the Mule's profile. Check mine for an example. It just makes it easier to keep track of donations.
And you never know WHAT your members will donate. "Vashes United" received a CoCo Kitty that we raffled off to members ... pretty cool! mrgreen
