tell me, which is the "angry hatefull mob"? is it the local citizens of a comunity giving a representitive an earfull for not representing them on health reform or is it the crowd of Columbia U. students who over ran a stage tearing things up when a rep from the minute men wanted to have a civil discussion with them? is it the combined group of republicans dems and independents chewing out Sen. spector for not reading a bill befor a vote or is it the students at a Calfifornia university who when Fmr rep Tancredo came to speak about ileagal imigration they bloked him out with a sign and wouldent give him a chance to argue back?

the answers should be obvious yet from the far left when they start meating resistance to their ways it is automaticly " a phony anger" and mobs called out by the GOP when clearly democrats were giving crap to their reps about thealthcare too. during an ad caliing the people a phoney GOP mob the only person they gave a close up only and had a sound bite of was one of those "Birther" idiots. Is anyone else here seeing all the hypocracy from the "party of change" in the District Of Curruption? Glenn Beck best stated it with " They keep promising us the moon and giving us Detroit." I am only 17 and thus cannot vote, so to tose of you who can I have this question, why is it that you keep re-electing the same idiots?

Don't blame the people who actually follow politics, blame the people who just go vote to say they voted. Those are the people who vote the same people in repeatedly just because the name sounds familiar.

you dont need to keep up with politics. if you live in detroit or new orleans or newark just look around and put two things together one) who is that same party that has been in charge of the bigger cities for an eternity and two) why is it that our city keeps on going further down the drain. I refuse to belive the majority of Americans "just go vote to say they voted" I however put the blame on those who dont vote not because they cant but those who couldent swollow their apathy long enough to care about their counties future. those who in every sense of the phrase "thow away their vote"

Well, the bigger problem is the people who do not vote and complain. America has shifted from its core of the majority rule. Who cares about the majority as long as the individual is protected. And yes, the individual should be protected but not to the extent of what we are doing. We are a capitalist society who tries to make everyone equal. Also, a person has the right to freedom of speach, but not the freedom to be heard. It does not matter what a person says if it falls on deaf ears. But some should not stop others from hearing what a person has to say.

Ok- here's the thing:

America is dead

I will say that again, just to be clear: America is dead, it died before I was born.

the founding fathers set out 6 things America would be in the preamble. That nation, the nation of America, the nation the founding fathers created is no more.

in its place, we have this false America (hereafter differentiated from the real America by quotation marks)

while America was a Democracy, "America" is a new type of Government- in fact I would question whether or not the term 'government' applies to it anymore. any government exists to rule the people (whether for good or ill), "America" exists to improve a handful of controlling companies' bottom lines.

here's how "America" works: the Company funds a candidate, and in return, that candidate does what the company says.

why isn't that a government? because the company doesn't care about the people- a law is passed or vetoed not because of its' impact on the people, but because it gives a controlling company an advantage

In other words, you cannot blame the people- they are helpless pawns, and the same people are elected because they have the most controlling companies backing them.

I disagree. I don't think America is dead. I think it will be if we continue down this road, but it's not too late to turn back.
We're not a capitalist nation anymore, and we haven't been for some time. I don't what we are, but we're moving closer and closer to socialism everyday.

Here's the bottom line: Even if we clean out the House with a fresh start, we still have a lot of work to do to get this country back on track.

I had a point....... damn.

Far from being dead, I'd have to say that things are pretty much the same. Politicians, simply are beholden to different things.
