oh mi...this is a really hard question :O I can't just choose one xD ~Kyoko Mogami~ is the number one of course because she is a strong willed girl and the main character, duuhh 3nodding ~Ren Tsukasa~ is just hot *sweats* and extremely just to die for (including his ways with Kyoko) ~Sho Fuwa~ please don't kill meh! If it weren't for his dumb**s decision, Kyoko wouldn't be the strong-willed girl she is now! And I love the forbidden love between the two of them

Rena9b Okay I have to ask....
Did anyone else see Director Ogata and go "OMG look a grownup Yuki Sohma! =D" ...Anyone xD Or just me...
~*~Moonpettles~*~ You mean Mimori? She was.... eh.... *shurgs* I gots no defense for her xD But she was a nice comparison to Kyoko with her obnoxiously bubbly attitude.
XD I SO did that too! You're not alone!!! I was just wondering when it became a weird crossover but then it wasn't Yuki... which got me sad... Over than that, I love Kyoko, Ren, Lory, Yashiro, Moko, Maria... just most of the characters... Even Sho's getting better...

I love Kyoko and all her chibi moments (too cute). She literally makes me laugh out loud when I'm reading the manga, which is rare for me as only few can do that to me heart Her evil side is funny and all, but I'm not too fond of it. Curse you, Shotaro, for unlocking her box! D:

I didn't see it, but after reading this, I couldn't stop laughing for 10 minutes because it is so true! Anyway, I think the truly amazing thing about Skip Beat is the way that even the antagonists are liked. And there wasn't some sob story added in just to make readers feel sorry for them...

I think it's hard to dislike almost any character of Skip Beat. Each one is so complex and unique, totally themselves and no one else. There are no overlapping qualities and characteristics that make it hard to tell the characters apart from one another, nor could you compare them to characters from any other fandom. Their interconnected stories and unique pasts show how they've each started out, and more importantly, how they've evolved both before the manga began and since they were each introduced in the story.
I started off hating Moko and Sho, and feeling kind of indifferent towards Ren, but now that I feel I've gotten to know them better and have watched their feelings and personalities grow, I really like Moko and I love Ren. Sho still drives me crazy, though, (I often find myself wanting to beat him with kitchenware. Who bets his skull is thick enough to break a cooking pan?) but I found I've softened toward him quite a bit, as well.
I was also kind of annoyed with Kyoko initially, but after about half a volume she had me laughing so hard that I couldn't help but love her, especially since she's revealed how strong she really is, even if she is a little naive (and dense). I really envy her freakish work ethic.
Overall though, I must say that Maria and Ren are my favourite characters. Maria is incredible in every sense of the word. Young, but mature for her age. Different, but OK with it. Pessimistic, but still able to love those around her with all of her heart. And frightening. Very, very frightening. heart twisted heart
And Ren... is Ren. He's mature. A mature lead manga character? Really? I grew up watching Inuyasha and Sailor Moon. Darien had his moments as Tuxedo Mask, but when he was just a normal guy he was a jerk, and Inuyasha was loud and obnoxious until the last episode where his sudden maturity almost gave me a heart attack. It took two hundred episodes for him to act like that and it still felt rushed.
Suffice to say a character as complex as Red, with so many hidden facets and such a mature cover face draws me in completely. He's like a breath of fresh air.
And now that I've stolen all of your time, I've decided to re-post this to my blog as a review! Yay!
Oh, and I can see you out there going talk2hand
And I shall be a pirate and disappear like a ninja!

Yeah, but he gets little screen time with her because Ren is so overprotective with his awesomely dark aura.
