Kerry cocked her head to the side. "You don't seem surprised that the moon does not hold her sway over my changes. How interesting. Most who know what I am are surprised. I'm the only werewolf who can change at will." Her eyes drifted over the lake as well. "I am calm enough. I was curious though. There is something about you that... How should I put this... Wakes my wolf." Kerry was nothing but blunt.

Spiro stayed silent after Kerry's comment. He also stared out at the lake as she did. When it seemed like he had no intention to answer, he said two word. "Atrum Vita." And what a pair of words it was. Atrum Vita, or Dark Life, was an old legend even in the wizarding world. It was said that the entity known as Atrum Vita was born when humanity began to recognize the difference between natural instinct and free desire. When right and wrong could be recognized. And ignored. The intangible embodiment of sorrow, hatred, violence, anger, and vengeance. In others words...the dark life was all that cast an ominous shadow in the world. Like Kerry's nonchalantness about her ability to control her feral transformations, Spiro had also been quite calm about what could be stirring the wolf within. But...Atrum Vita was a bodiless essence. So...there wasn't really a very good explanation for bringing it up.
