In an old Kingdom named Andalasia, ruled the half elvish, half human King and Queen, Kyladrial and Crystella Riverflow, guarded by the most powerful warrior in the Kingdom, Lord Bolvar Steiner.
For years they had governed over Andalasia with a kind but firm grip, ensuring that peace endured across the land.
But one man, once a close friend and advisor of King Kyladrial's, set about to overthrow the monarchy and rule the Kingdom by himself, turning it into a land of greed and tyranny, it's peace forever gone.
And so the King banished the traitor, named Vayne Farwolf, to a place far away, named the Hellfire Gorge, a place of much evil and corruption.
But Vayne did not give up so easily. For 20 years, he sought out an evil Warlock that was rumoured to reside within the Gorge, to seek a power capable of helping him rule not only the Kingdom, but the entire world of Nafiria.
The Warlock, Tobivir Felstone, granted Vayne an ancient relic, that would allow him to summon 7 creatures known as Shades, human in appearance, but wielding dark powers feared by all men.
Commanding these Seven Shades, Vayne formulated a plan to do what he planned 20 years ago, and rule the entire world...
