I think this is my favorite book ever!
I loved that Miyazaki made it in to a movie as well eventhough it was not correctly protrayed....not even Howl was on spot either.
But oh well!
I can say that if I have ever had a major crush on a fictional character it would be Howl from the book. But I protray him differently then Miyazaki did in the film. I did read the book first before the movie came out so I was surprise when I went to the theatre and saw how different it did turn out.
Though as I remember it, when I was reading the book, I wasn't as in to Howl in the beginning. All you see really was his horrible side. How he slithered out of things he didnt want to do, how he treated calcifer and used him all the time, using Sophie as well.
It was really hard to see the good at him at all, especially when he acted like a damn coward in most it, until he admited he only pretended to be one to be brave.....yeah....
