Thing is, we're not listing who the actual "best" character is, we're just saying about our favourites. There IS a difference.
The best character...in terms of outright power, Tamahome, Chichiri and Tasuki. Tamahome does end up with Kamehamehadoken powers which he uses to punt through the baddie's heart, Tasuki can horrifically burn pretty much whatever he wants, and Chichiri is like a shojo-manga version of Albus Dumbledore. You can't really do better than that. Looking back, it's no real surprise that these three were the ones to survive.

Kureaa44 ...and Chichiri is like a shojo-manga version of Albus Dumbledore. You can't really do better than that. ...And now I've just pictured him with a giant beard and half-moon glasses. Haha. xp
