The Description and Rules
A man up for personal gain, either for wealth, slaves, world domination, or other idea's, has been noticed. He owns a mansion and somewhere around 6 billion dollars of supplies have gone to it. But as far as anyone has noticed, he lives alone with a single servant. Throughout this mansion are small devices, like a little tower, among the artifacts and statues in the building. These devices are a mix of technology and dark magic. There are only a couple of these in the basement. They all link up to an amulet the man wears. They allow him to control the zombies in the device's range. Some may be stronger/weaker than others. Currently they cover the whole mansion. His control over the zombies is one of directing them where he needs, or away from a place. He can also see through their eyes (if they have them). If a device is broken, control is lost in that area. If the amulet is broken, all control is lost and the amulet will need repaired. (In such a circumstance it is expected that the characters may need to join with the man so they are not overrun)
The man is also in search of a young apprentice and spots Chibi as a good choice. (That's my character.) He will go to great lengths to get him alone to convince him to join his cause, through lies or deception if needed.
The Mansion and Cities
The castle is surrounded by a very large forest and behind a 20 foot tall brick wall. The gate is a 10 foot thick steel door with a tower to operate the controls at its hinge. For now the gate lies open as the last supply truck is coming in. Underground is a very large main city, and in the northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast directions are tunnels to 4 other towns set about a mile and a half from the main city. Each city has its own purpose. Everyone who was living down there is most likely a zombie, but I suppose survivors may exist. The mansions basement is attached to the main city by a large elevator and a staircase that wraps around it, there are zombies in the staircase. The mansion is also loaded with traps and secret passages and a blueprint may exist.
Virus Details
The virus animates the dead causing a hunger for brains and flesh. It cannot animate a body with no brain or a damaged brain. Infection is spread only by bites or mutant attacks. A cut, scrape, or scratch will usually not infect someone. The virus can travel through the air and animate dead without them being bitten. The virus spreads painfully and fast. A infected person has 2 hours to be injected with an antidote (some lies in the basement and throughout the cities) or be killed before turning into a zombie. The man behind everything can also control the virus by slowing or stopping the spread, or speeding it up. (Useful if they kidnap someone) Someone injected with the antidote will be very weak for 30 minutes. If someone has been injected with the antidote and been bitten again, and re-injected, they can build an immunity to the infection. But in such a case, if they do catch it again, the antidote may be less effective. If bitten many times mutation is possible. The guy in control may lose control of a mutant every time it encounters a person with a brain for munching. Mutated players may retain control of themselves if they have a strong will. However they may find it difficult to stay on the side of uninfected players.
Guidelines
The Zombie Controller (as we will call him)
Do's: Use zombies to accomplish your goals. Be more powerful than the other players with your abilities, powers, magic, and technological know-how. Take advantage of other players, knowledge of your mansions passageways and traps, and your ability to know whats going on through the eyes of the zombies. Convert players to your side through persuasion or getting them turned into a zombie, but make sure they have a chance to be saved or escape. Have an antidote with you.
Don'ts: Defeat everyone and everything effortlessly, instead get hurt or make an escape, maybe include a weakness players can work at. Also don't eliminate players completely, let the zombies get them.
The Players
Do's: Have various useful powers and abilities. Play with a group of players or go about the mansion/cities as a solo character. Interact with other people. Include your own subplots. Become an enemy to everyone or some people, or just the Zombie controller.
Dont's: Have a power or ability to help you get through every situation and challenge you encounter. Dont have to much of any one power, even if its your only power.
The Real People
This is guidelines for the people, sitting at your computers, enjoying this role play.
Do's: Help other players catch up if they were away for a while, explain the situation going on and past events they missed. Have Patience for others to respond. Make friends. And Make new characters if you end up converted to a zombie.
Dont's: Insult other people for any reason. Involve themes of nudity or sex. Get angry because of an event you didn't like.
