Previous Zii reconsidered her cooperation once Luke mentioned taking her to the docks. It was one thing to agree to meet with whoever this was somewhere where other people would be within earshot should she need to call for help or run away, but to be isolated in a deserted area of the city was another thing entirely. "I agreed to meet with your evil twin or whatever," she said, "but I didn't agree to have you take me halfway across town to someplace where no one could hear me scream. I'm willing to believe that you're just crazy and not a murderer, but you're gonna have to meet me halfway, dude. Let me meet with this 'Wrath' somewhere nearby, or I won't meet with him at all." Zii wasn't going to allow Luke to take hold of the power in this negotiation. She was calling the shots, and she needed to make sure he understood that. "Look, there's an alley behind this place," she said. "It's isolated enough that nobody will interrupt our conversation, but not so much that you're gonna get away with murder easily. I'll speak to you out there, but I'm not traveling any further than that."

Previous Luke thought over the terms that this woman presented her with, "Fair enough." He said, realizing just how messed up his previous statements could be interpreted. Besides, he needed to allow this woman to believe that she was the one in control, at least, for now. "We merely need a place that suits Wrath, one where we will not be simply discovered or heard. The back alley should prove just as acceptable a place as any other." Luke said. He then looked around, all these people would provoke Wrath, hopefully he was able to keep a calmer exterior than Luke was in this situation.

Previous "Lead the way," Zii said, simply, motioning toward the door. Even though she was fairly certain he didn't have any intention of hurting her, she still wasn't willing to turn her back on Luke just yet. It was crazy of her to follow this stranger into an alley--and crazier still that she didn't feel too threatened to do so--but, for some reason, she felt as though Luke was no threat to her, as though she were much stronger than he could ever be.

Previous Luke simply nodded as he walked out of the building, looking back to make sure the girl was following him, and want around the building to the back alley. A little more open and...bright than he wanted, but it should function well enough for the simple purpose he had intended for it. As soon as the woman moved into the area with him, the evil presence overtook Luke, Wrath's power took control over him. This was usually a frightening experience, but in this environment, there was at least a limit to the amount of damage Wrath could do. While his appearance remained the same, everything about the way Luke looked completely changed when Wrath took over. The look in his eyes was frightening, chilling in fact, and showed nothing but hatred. Wrath then smirked, "Hello." He said, even his voice was simply chilling and vicious.

Previous Zii followed Luke at a distance, making sure that the gap between them was never too small for her comfort. She felt uneasy as they went into the alley. What the hell was she thinking, agreeing to this? Had she gone completely insane? Zii gulped as a change overtook Luke. The way his eyes pierced her sent shivers up her spine, and she knew she wasn't looking at Luke anymore. She wanted to run...almost. Something was keeping her here. Something was stirring deep within her. Something wanted to make its presence known. "So you're...Wrath," she said, the words coming out slowly, shakily, as she tried to keep up her calm facade.

Funky_Monk13 Now that Anthony had actually made contact he wasn't really sure what he was going to say. "Sentinel it's Ghoul. I think we need to meet up. There's a lot of commotion at the park, I don't normally do the day shift but I overheard some interesting news from some citizens." He benched the thoughts he had on the woman from the bar for now, he'd discuss that later but for now he had a feeling that they'd be needed in a big way. "Look..." the gruff voice muttered. "I don't work durin' the day. Can't. So... I'm sorry, but if it's still going on when it turns dark... I can help. But not now." Then the line went dead.

Previous Wrath smirked, he could tell the girl was afraid, of course, she'd have to be insane or already aware of what she was to not feel some sort of fear at the sound of his voice. Wrath breathed in deep, the morning air was not a familiar smell to him, he was usually either locked up or human from dawn until dusk. "Yes, I am Wrath." He said in a deeper voice than seemed possible to be created by the vocal cords of the human host that was speaking. He looked her over, as if looking through her, there was no mistake, she was better than any mere mortal he could recruit. "Tell me, child," He said as he began to pace around, closer to her, "Have you ever felt...different? Like you just don't belong with any of these worthless mortal beings?" He said, perfectly aware that he currently sounded like your average suicide cult leader, but if she was truly what he thought she was, she would not flee, if not, she would likely be killed.

Previous Zii gave a little bit of a snort. Despite her nervousness, the question Wrath asked seemed...well, silly. He might as well have asked Zii if she'd ever looked in a mirror. "You have eyes," she said, pointing to her own blood red eyes, "you know what I look like. And anyone who's ever gone through puberty has felt like they don't belong with all the other 'worthless' human beings. Get to the point. Why did you single me out? What do you want with me, and why me and not anyone else in that coffee shop?" Zii was frightened by Wrath, yes, but she had come here on her own terms, and she would get the answers she wanted on her own terms too.

Anthony Grunted and terminated the bluetooth and dropped it onto the gravel of the roof rather carelessly. He then produced a pad of paper and a pen from his pocket and opened it up to a page where he had been keeping notes on Sentinel and scribbled down a couple of lines: Only works at night...Unreliable?... Not Committed/ dedicated?
He tapped the pen on the spiral top of the note pad before closing it after some thought and turning to descend the fire escape that had brought him up here. He couldn't quite put his finger on why he knew something bad was happening at the park since he hadn't been warned by any ghosts. Nor had he had a vision. In fact all that he had gotten was what seemed to be radio broadcasting in his own head of events that were about to transpire. As he got to the edge of the building he saw that there were the woman and young man from the coffee shop down in the alley way, "Crud." Anthony's abilities to turn invisible were not so great in direct daylight.

Previous "Well, that's exactly it, my dear girl. You ever wonder why such differences exist? Certainly, everyone has felt as if they don't belong, but few traits are more obvious than your own. Haven't you ever asked why?" Wrath said, starting to walk even closer to her now. He then smiled a malicious grin as he looked at her. Wrath then removed his right hand from his pocket, looking at the glove. "You are not the only one with such...differences present. Yet, you are one of the few. I singled you out because you are more than the others. You are not just another face in the crowd, you are something special. You, unlike them, were born for a purpose. You were made to rise above the rest of them." He said, licking his lips. Perhaps she was getting the point by now. Either way, Wrath knew he had her, she would not simply walk away now.

Previous "I..." Zii hesitated, Wrath's speech making her nervous. She didn't want to look like she was losing her grip on the situation, but it was difficult to hide. "It's just a genetic mutation," she said, though it lacked conviction, like an explanation she had rehearsed but never fully believed, "unusual, but it doesn't make me 'the one'." She tried to stand her ground, to not look like she was buying into what Wrath was telling her. She knew he was taking control, but she was unwilling to give it to him. Reluctantly, though, she looked up at him and, with something close to desperation in those red eyes, she asked: "So what exactly is this 'purpose'?"

Previous Wrath chuckled at her response, "Yes...Genetic mutation." He then removed the glove from his right hand, revealing what appeared to be demonic claws, as well as a dark purple gem in the back of his hand. "Just like my envoy?" He then also pointed to the Luke's right eye, which was also red in color. "No, I tell you, you are much different. Your purpose is to rise above these mortals." Wrath said, once again pacing around, "You are one much like I." Wrath then stopped, "You are not a being of this world, dear girl, you are much more. Your purpose is to destroy, you were born to eliminate these worthless mortals and bring about a new age, a new society." Wrath said, somewhat misinterpreting the truth about her, but he was close to correct.

Previous "I," Zii began, her arms crossed and a look of incredulity on her face, "can't believe I wasted my time." "I don't know what's in the water in this stupid city," she said, "but you can't throw a rock in the damn place without hitting a super. Why in the world did I think you were any different?" "Look, I don't care what your super power is or what kind of botched experiment gave it to you," she said, turning to leave. "I'm not joining your little super cult...no matter how many cliches you spout at me." Zii began to walk out of the alley, her hand drifting to the pocket on her bag in case Wrath tried to stop her.

Previous "I am not here to explain my powers," Wrath said, "I am here to assist you in bringing yours out. You are not a super, that is a term for the foolish mortals who charge into danger to save those that condemn them, you, dear girl, are something more. You are not a normal mortal being with some powers, you are better than that." "And I do not wish for you to join with me, I merely wish to bring about the realization of what you are." Wrath smiled and walked closer to Zii as she began to walk away, his right hand hovering in mid-air. Were she to run, he would have to kill her. Perhaps that was what she needed, a bit of provocation to bring her to use her powers. He could not possibly be wrong about this, he knew she was the one he had heard about, but how to bring her to realize this was the issue.

Previous Zii took a few more steps, not looking back though she knew that it was unlikely that Wrath would let her to quietly. But, when he raised his hand as though readying to attack her, Zii stopped dead in her tracks. "You would dare raise your hand to me, Wrath?" she said. Though her voice was unchanged, it was clear that this was not the Zii Wrath had been speaking to before. "Are you brave, or a fool?"
