I haven't finished it yett because I sort of don't have a lott of time ((I like long sit downs when it comes to gaming)), but I like it. It's really good and the diversity of the characters is nice.
Right now, I'm at the part where Sarah getts kidnapped and the gang goes into that dungeon ((forgot the name, sorry. ^^'' )) to rescue her before she becomes a sacrifice. xD
Overall, though, I think I prefer SOTEOT. :'O

Played it? Post your thoughts! idea

I have not finished it yet, but here are some early observations.

I. Glory glory hallelujah, the battle system has changed!
You can jump now, and run and actually avoid oncoming attacks! There are some interesting new combos, and even some nifty things you can do with the shoulder buttons.
Unfortunately, they haven't quite worked out the kinks in the AI just yet. As I play Reimi (who's name apparently translates to 'rape me' in the language of the monsters), I find myself being chased in circles by two or three very angry monsters while Edge and Faize seem to be enjoying their tea party off in the corner. stare

II. Oh my god, it's not Sophia! (And other character observations.)
(Unfortunately, I can only go over the ones I've played/encountered so far.)
1. Edge
They basically gave Fayt a brain transplant and a blond wig. Looks like Fayt, but this one's actually not emo! I haven't seen him bawl YET! He's also actually got an attitude, so he's a lot more believable.
2. Reimi
I'm pretty sure she killed Sophia at some point to take her place as heroin. BIG improvement. This one gets a bow instead of a staff; I'm missing symbology, but I'm sure that will come later. And guess what, kiddies? She's actually USEFUL! And not annoying!
3. Faize
The first alien you meet; he's an Eldaarian. Sword and symbology for this guy. Pretty much your standard 'I'm here to explain everything and look cool doing it.' guy, but he kind of grows on you.
4. Lymle
You meet her on another planet, but I'm not sure that she isn't human. She's your summoner; she starts out with Cerberus. Just a kid though, and a weird one at that. The most monotone thing I've ever heard. Kinda' funny though; she's brutally honest, especially to Faize.

That's it for the ones I've gotten so far, but here's a video I think has everyone in it, including Aramat (I think that's his name), AKA Albel 2.0 lol.

It also has a boss fight in it, so you can kind of get an idea how the battle system is, thought the guy playing it fights cheap and just combo's over and over... >.>

I actually have finished it.
IF YOU HAVE NOT BOUGHT THE GAME BUY IT!!

lol had the same problem. Mercale is the second fav of the mosters and Sarah(if you don't hide her in the corner of the battle field) is the third. smile Sometimes I have to continously switch characters so they move out of harms way.

The one thing I will complain about is the lack of Albelness in the game. (where are the insults)
There is a larger quantity of private actions, which actually turn in to cut scenes if you have not see them already. (they are always during flights) And you should never really have to rest on a trip to a different planet.

These are the characters according to the time they join the group.

Edge, Remi, Faize, Lym, Bacchus, Meracle (f-ing AWESOME),(you met Sarah but she doesn't really join your group) Myuria, Sarah, Arumat

Arumat is exchanged for Faize...so if you're having a hard time deciding who heads out on the field, Faize is leaving you anyway so you might as well make him back up.

Arumats and Mercale's combos are awesome and extremly useful. Mercale is quick and does constant attacks(which barely allows enemies to strike out)
Arumat is partically devistating to large enemy groups.

A good character combo I would advise would be Edge, Arumat, Meracle and Sarah. And/ or Remi, Arumat , Meracle and Sarah.

Bacchus AKA steel giant: From En 2
is made of machinery (der) and his attack are useful but slightly annoying.
Obtained on Cardianon Mother ship (not to be mistake for Celestial ship)

Mercale: From Roak ?
Is a cat person (lesser fellpool) eats A LOT, and is extremly hyper.
Athletic body, Does a assortment of flips and scratching during battle.
High speed combos. EXTREMLY USEFUL
Obtained in Military Facility

Myuria: From En 2
You should have seen her before on the Cardiaon Mother ship (where you got Bacchus) She is your offensive spell caster. Like Lym but does not do any fire attacks, mostly ice and lightning.
Obtained at Roak after The holy maiden(forgot her name, Mercale admired her) cut scene.

Sarah: From Roak
Sacred Featherfolk. A spell caster also, but both offensive, healing and status enhancement (this is why she is so useful)
She does not have any far away normal attacks, but she tosses her enemies in the air with her spear, thus useful.
Obtained after leaving Roak

Arumat: From Eldar (think that's what the planet is called)
Same species as Faize, But do not mistake him for an Albel like character, he is not. (sorry to disappiont you)
Arumat is somewhat like Albel but is more polite and somewhat softer. Arumat does not insult anyone. In fact he keeps mostly to himself.
Think Faize but gruffer and more mature.
Obtained after fighting the phantom ship soldiers.

If you have already passed the game and you are again at the point where you have to give up Faize, if you saved your clear data you can keep Faize if you wish but you will not get Arumat. (He will still show up in cutscenes though)

FYI after you've destroyed the final boss and you saved your clear data, try reloading and entering the door on the right. You will have to defeat the Undying dragon, who drops the ring of darkeness.

If anybody needs help/ just wants to know stuff. PM me. I'm not on gaia too often but on at the very least once week. maybe two weeks if I have a lot of homework/essays

I acutally have finished the game. I'm trying to finish Fable 2 a second time and do the Last Remnant. (I actually want to buy Bayonetta it looks awesome)

The one thing I will complain about is the constant changing of disc (ugh)
