Hello, I'm Kenny, but on here just call me Zeta, since it's my nickname anyways.Although I have only been seriously listening to TMV since July, I first heard of them when I saw them in concert headlining for System of a Down (My then favourite band.) In September. I thought they were pretty wicked, so I slowly started downloading their music. As I listened to more and more, I found I was falling in love fast. At the end of my school year last year, I was looking for their albums (although I live in a small town, so they were hard to find. Took me another month).

Today, The Mars Volta is one of my three favourite bands ever, and I truly cannot say one is better than the others. I simply love everything about them, and I want to see them in concert again, so I can actually have respect for their amazingness Live.

Anyways, other than that ramble, I love Music of almost any genre, but Rock and its many strands are what stand out the most for me. I am a Gamer, leaning more to the Nintendo aspects of things, and I am usually a hard worker. I try my hardest to stand out, and I am best known at my school for my Trench Coat and Fedora I always wear XD.

Hey there, I'm Luke from Australia. I'm new to the forums and thusly this guild aswell so don't go too harsh. I of course love The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In dearly. I've unfortunately not yet had the chance to give a listen to anything from related bands like DeFacto or Phantasmagoria, but hopefully I will soon.

I love both TMV and ATDI dearly, but if I had to choose a favourite it would probably be ATDI, because although the guitar and keyboard work wasn't as complicated or interesting as it is in TMV, they just seem to have had more energy in their sound and performances (plus there's a lot less ambient s**t with ATDI).

My favourite songs by ATDI would have to be Rolodex Propoganda, 300 Mhz, 198d and Pattern Against User. From TMV my favourites would be This Apparatus Must Be Unearthed, Viscera Eyes, Televators, Inertiatic ESP and Take The Veil Cerpin Taxt. I'll be going to see them this March and I can't wait. They were originally slated to play in early December down under but they had to postpone to get a new drummer.

My name comes from a song by Willy Mason, called Fear No Pain. My other favourite artists and bands include Madonna (the one and only), Sigur Ros, Pink Floyd, Sarah Blasko, Ryan Adams (& the Cardinals), The Flaming Lips and Bjork. I'm also a big lover of films, my favourite of all time being the Silence of the Lambs.

This year I'll be studying a Bachelor of Arts at University, and am hoping to do a course on French as I've always been interested in not just the language, but the culture and its history.

I found out about TMV a year after Deloused came out. I was just getting into progressive rock, and they were one of my favs up with Tool.
I saw TMV in concert with RHCP, and it was awesome! Until TMV's speaker blew out emo and they sounded all mumbly
I hope to see them again January 30th, a day after the new disc hits stores!
I wish Flea played bass alongside John for TMV more often, it would be funkier maaaann~
