It was a rather cloudy day on the island of Karoland the full clouds threaded to burst a light drizzle over the open fields. But this did not stop a young female Karoo to venture out into the open fields her bright read eyes scanning the surroundings. And her rich green coloring helped her blend into the lush grass as she moved. Her ears flicked listening for sounds of something to play with.
This youthful Karoo might be social at heart but she had never seen another Karoo. She could smell their scents all over the place but she had yet to lay eyes on another of her kind. So even in the treating rain she wandered hoping on this surprisingly cool day that her luck would change and she would happen to find someone...anyone would do really.
But as she wandered the fields her ears playing tricks on her every now and again she sighed and saw a lump in the grass. She hunkered down and leapt landing on a knot of tangled grass clearly once a bed to another she laughed and started to fluff it up trying to make it resemble a Karoo for her to play with.

Aeria popped her head up and looked curiously into the eyes of the Karoo that was digging up the lump of grass she had hid under. She blinked a few times and crawled out, shaking grass off her everywhere in an attempt to rid herself of the itchy substance. After that she started walking around the other Karoo and examining her for a while before she burst out with a smile and said, "Hiya, I am Aeria! Who are you? Do you want to play?" she asked a mile a minute.

El'nai jumped back as she saw the eyes looking into her. Dropping to all fours she prepared herself to defend from the stranger. She flicked an ear and stood up as the smaller Karoo shook the grass from her body.
Tilting her head at the smile El'nai smiled back and nods, "Um....h..hello Aeria...um my name is El'nai...its nice to meet you and sure I would like to play. Um...what would you like to play?" She looked a bit confused and her read eyes moved over the off white wings before flicking over to her own back wondering why she didn't have any...were they real?

Aeria saw the look that El'nai gave her wings and giggled. "Do not worry about not having these," she said as she flapped her wings above her head. "I am an angelic Karoo and my subspecies does have wings. But I believe that you are a normal Karoo, so it is usual for your breed to not have wings. And I am willing to play whatever you want," Aeria said and looked up at the sky. "But we may want to find a better place to play as it will be soon raining and I am not particularly fond of getting soaked."

El'nai tilted her head listening to the younger Karoo. She talked funny. But El'nai shrugged, "Well Aeria it would still be nice to have them and I was only wondering if they were real or if they were just an accessory."
Laughing softly she shook her head, "And no...I don't know what to play because I have never played with another Karoo angelic or not." she said and nods looking up at the sky. "Well from the looks of it I don't think we can avoid this unless we go into a cave."

Aeria smiles, "Okay!" she said and started running forward towards a nearby cave. "I haven't any Karoo myself. But I know about them. Well, at least heard of them from my forest friends. It is nice to meet another one and have someone new to play with. So where are you from? And why have we not met before?" Aeria started into a bunch of questions.

El'nai flicked her ears and moved after the younger softer colored female. This one really did show her age. And every time she was about the answer a question the other female shot of another one.
Sighing softly El'nai waited for Aeria to take a breath before she started, "It is nice to meet another Karoo, and you are lucky to have woodland friends, I don't have any really." She nods and moved into the cave, "And I don't have a home really I just wander around, that could be why we have not met until now. I don't stay in one place long. So where are you from?"

Aeria thought for a moment. "Well, I guess I just live in the area. I fall asleep wherever I find myself and do not have a permanent residence, but I have never left the area either. What is it like to travel? Have you seen a lot of cool things? Anything surprising out in the big world? Is it nice to travel? Do you have fun?" Aeria ran on and on with plenty of questions as usual.

El'nai was shocked at how rapid the other was popping out questions. She sighed and looked up her tail tumping lightly against the ground. "Umm...well it is nice to travel around I have not seen anything really amazing. And have not met many people at all." she said and sighed, "Well it must be nice to just enjoy resting where ever." she said and watched the other female. "Well what do you like doing for fun then if you do not wander far?"
