well when you donate it directly to the guild it goes to the guild account, so we can buy subforums, which we don't need lol we need to adjust the current ones actually lol anyway, when we set up the new mule it will be saved for contests and events ^_^

So, what does everyone think about the reconciliation of Greek and Norse mythology? I'll list some points:
Earth. Gaia, the Mother Goddess, or Yggdrasil, the World Tree? Both? Neither? Are they aspects of the same being, or perhaps two beings in symbiosis? Or is the Norse world entirely separate from the Greek one?
The primal void from which all things sprung. Khaos in Greek myth, Ginnungagap in Norse myth. Same thing? Does the universe have TWO origins, or two interpretations of the same origin?
A clash of generations. The primal pantheon of nature gods are overthrown and then assimilated by a younger family of military and civic gods. The Titans vs the Olympians in Greek myth. The Vanir vs the Aesir in Norse myth. Same conflict, or just for the same reasons?
The Fates, triple goddesses governing all things. Called the Moirai (Klotho, Lakhesis and Atropos) in Greek myth. Known as the Norns (Urd, Skadi and Verdandi) in Norse myth. Are these matronly ladies one and the same?
The limits of the universe. In Greek myth, Okeanos is the great river which encircles the world. Okeanos is also known in some myths as Ophion, meaning 'snake'. In Norse myth, Jormungandr, the world serpent, circles the roots of the World Tree. Alternately, the Greek spirits Aeon (Eternity) and Ananke (Destiny) are represented as insubstantial serpentine beings coiling around all of creation.
The Twilight of the Gods. Only Norse mythology includes Ragnarok, the inevitable day of reckoning when most of the gods shall be vanquished by their enemies. Are the Greek gods concerned about this at all? Or did they already win their Ragnarok (ie, the Gigantomakhia)?
The Greeks thought of Thor as being the Norse equivalent of their thundergod Zeus, despite Odin being the All-father. Is there a connection between any of these three gods?
The Underworld. Hel in Norse mythology, ruled by the goddess Hel. Hades in Greek mythology, ruled by the god Hades. Same place, or different kingdoms in the same underworld, or different dimensions entirely?
