Elsie looked at the two with an are-you-crazy look on her face. She had no clue what they were talking about. " Huh? Who're they?" she asked, directing her question at Vel. " If you can't find someone, you should track them. Like Zare did for me!" she grinned.

Ash stands. "They were lost long ago in the sands of time. Back when I was still young." Vel nods. "Oh, to be ninety again..." She murmurs.

" Ninety? How much is that?" Elsie asked. She could only count to twenty, and that was with Zare's help. Zare had finally gotten up to join the group chat. He took this chance to add a bit of his own. " Ninety is too high for you to even think of, El." The wolf had his eyes on the rabbit. " And if you're talking of years, that's an unbelievable age for any of us. Are you talking about months?" He hoped Velvet would say yes.

[[ Nope! Go right on ahead!]]
Elsie's eyes widened comically, and she opened her mouth to gape at Velvet. Then, her mouth went to a grin, and she jumped up and down excitedly. " Are you really that old? How old are you? Ho-" Zare interrupted his feline companion. " Then, you've been here longer than most," he said, his hair rising in his alarm. What if these creatures were spirits? Did that mean that they roamed, or had something happened in the forest? Elsie was oblivious to the wolf's unease. Her grin was still on her muzzle, and she looked at Velvet and Ash expectantly.

"Very old." Is all Ash says. Vel laughs. "Oh, yes, very old." Suddenly, a deep, hoarse voice sings out. "And crow you silly creature, to sing with out a voice!" A crow swoops down. "I am not so silly as to not know when I am called!" Vel jumps up and down. "Torwen! Torwen!"

Elsie squealed and jumped in surprise at the crow's sudden appearance. She hit the ground running, and darted wildly between Zare's paws for cover. She crouched there, fluffy fur puffed out, trying to hide from the bird. They just weren't her favorite animals. Zare was amused at both the cowering Elsie, and Torwen the Crow. His head followed Torwen's path of flight. His fur fell flat again as he forgot about his fears of spirits, and he couldn't help but chuckle. " Nice to meet you, sir," the wolf said to the crow. Zare craned his head downward to try and see the Lynx between his paws. He nudged the cat with one paw, encouraging her to say something. Elsie cuddled closer to Zare, eyes locked on Torwen.

Torwen landed not so gracefully on the ground. "Yes, hello there, good sir, gentle lady." He caws, bowing elegantly. He looks at Ash and Vel. "And I'll warrant thee by half a wing that ol' Night heard ye tell that tale. He'll be coming, living or not." Vel laughs. "Indeed, there was naught that could keep him down, for aught the hunters tried."
