Gaian Name: Ravens_Fire

Name: Diana Lecroux

Gender: Female

Age: 27

Sexual Preference: Straight

Weapons: She has a long range longbow that is made from golden oak. It stands at three quarters of her height. The string is taken from a swamp weed that she got from her ships. The arrows are made from golden oak as well. They are about 3 feet long and have three black crow feathers. The Lecroux insignia is placed directly above the handle grip.

Her sword is a short sword, only 3 and a half feet in length. The handle has the insignia for the Lecroux family. Around it is a gold braided bared thread. At the base of the steel on the blade is a carved image of the altruistic design for power.

Magic: Although none suspect it, Diana is able to manipulate fire. It keeps her occupied during the times she is home and can find nothing to keep her mind off pressing matters. She practices, hoping to get better but it often tires her out. She becomes weak and rarely can rise to go to her room. It takes at least 4 hours to recuperate enough to move.

Appearance: Diana stands at 5'6" and has the traditional hourglass body. She usually wears modest clothing. The dresses do not show off a lot of her skin, having a rounded neckline that only shows her neck. She wears soft colors like pink, white, blue, and pale green, trying to keep the impression that she is harmless. She has bright golden curly hair and it falls to her waist. It is almost a silverish color because it is so light. She keeps it pinned back most of the time and only takes it down at night when she goes to rest. Her eyes are an amazing forest green color that looks innocent and yet it also appears to hide secrets. She has rosy colored skin that often burns if she is in the sun too much. She has a petite frame but holds herself with elegance and regalness. More than often she is likened to a forest nymph because of her elusiveness and allure.

Brief History: Diana is an only child. Her parents died of old age when she reached the age of 21 and she has since tried to prove that she can carry on without any help from anyone. Most often than not, she isn't quite welcomed. Diana was raised as a single child to her aging parents, having been born in their late life. She was never spoiled and trained herself with weapons of all kinds. She taught herself to shoot and handle a sword if need be.

Other: Diana is often thought to be soft hearted since she enjoys being with anyone who has a soft spot for those who have less than themselves. She is stubborn and strong willed, unwilling to back down from her views. She also tends to have a soft spot for anyone in trouble. When it comes to what needs to be done though, she can be as cold-hearted as the rest of them. Since she has an innocent appeal and angelic face many underestimate how strong she is.

Name:Kalin D'Nom
Race:Human
Age:18
Powers:A white mage for lack of anything better to call it.
Appearance/Personality:A petite redhead, Kalin has bright and curly red hair that streams in tendrils down to her shoulders in a rough and ragged mop. Light gray green eyes that light up easily in amusement, there also seems to be a shadow of sadness behind the merriment, though she often doesnt stay around long enough to let people close enough to see. Slightly curvaceous, she has no real eyes for the males or even the females, flitting from one companion to another, letting none really hold her heart.

Wearing a soft lavender cloak, her entire wardrobe is in shades of purple, from the simple purple tunic and pantaloons, to the deep violet purple boots upon her feet. Always ready to leave at a moments notice, the young Kalin is always still a picture of messy prettiness. White wrappings around her wrists guard her slender bones from damage in the event she is called upon to actually fight with her quarterstaff.

Quick to anger, she will go out of her way to help others, always glad to help others, often resisting help on her own. To the frustration of her teachers, she was a clever child but often getting into mischief and trouble as she escaped classes and the temple itself as she sought to amuse herself. Few of her teachers at the Temple had the capabilities to actually hold the woman childs interest, but still she managed to excel in her studies due to self-study and aptitude.

Weapons:A gift from the mages that raised Kalin, there appears nothing out of the ordinary about the quarterstaff at first glance. Upon closer inspection however, there are several Eastern blessings written upon the wood, burned in with great care. Each of these blessings can be called upon by Kalin in order to activate their special charms. They do not disappear upon use, but can each, only be used once a day. There are three charms upon the wood. If there ever comes a time that all three charms are used in a single day, all of the burnings will dissipate and the quarterstaff will become nothing but a simple and elegant staff for the young mage. The quarterstaff can also be used as a normal weapon by the mage, though if the item breaks, then any and all charms are null and void unless fixed by a magic repair.

Charm One
Spell Name:Lights Blessed Blinding
Range:15ft
Effect: Once activated, the staff lets off a powerful aura of light that is blinding to any and all around it, impairing vision for several minutes. Those within range can see nothing but a bright burst of light no matter where they look after viewing the initial spark of the spell for the duration of the spell. Both friend and foe are suspectible to the effects.
Duration: 10 minutes/per level
Casting Time: One standard action.

Charm Two
Spell Name:Binding
Range:Close (25ft + 5ft/2 levels)
Effect: Once activated, the staffs possessor designates the target but pointing the staff at said target. What appears to be a chain made of light and spirit energy projects forward from the tip of the staff and wraps around the target, disallowing movement of any kind. The target can speak, but cannot move their body in any other manner.
Duration: 10 minutes per level
Casting Time: One standard action.

Charm Three
Spell Name:Cure Wound (Medium)
Range:Touch
Effect: Using the charm and touching the target allows the casters own spirit energy to enter the target and heal their wounds, as long as the wounds arent life threatening. It will substantially weaken the caster but will fortify the target.
Duration:Instantaneous
Casting Time: One standard action.

History:
Trip down Memory Lane
Walking around the city, the young man had seen many sights and wonders. How oblivious the common man could be to the many blessings that had been visited upon them by the elementals, often taking things for granted. But not him, every day was a blessing, even the darkest of days had a glimmer of hope or so the young man believed. Both of his hands moved to his arms, pushing up the sleeves of his white robe before the fingers of both moved to rest at his neck as his hands cradled his head.

Each day is a blessing indeed. I always need to remember that. A somber look on his face as he continued walking, continuing to take in the sights. A street vendor selling fabrics for clothing, another hawking oranges. But the young man stopped, his head turning in his hands to look to his right, his senses seeing something even before his eyes.

Pwetty 4laugh whee

There in an alleyway, was a young girl, her mop of bright red curls in natty tendrils as they flew around the cherubic face. It wasnt so much the girl that caught his attention as what was holding her fascination. There, flitting about the child, was several small sprites of light. Her hands clapped in appreciation even as one alighted on her head. The already stubborn chin tilting the head back to catch a glimpse of her new friend before it flicked out of existence.

Delicate rose bud lips quivered dangerously as the young girls eyes watered. No go. No weave. I be good. her tiny fists going up under her chin, her dirty face screwed up in pain as she then watched another spirit flit back and forth, her darting eyes hopeful that this one wouldnt disappear as the last had if she could only watch it always.

The childish language spoke to the young mage as he watched her try to be strong at her loss of what was probably her only friend, even for the few moments the spirit had been able to stay. His hands fell back at his side he moved towards the girl unsure of what to say. He had little experience with females or children really, even his own child seemed a stranger to him a lot of the time, but the brown haired man felt compelled to help the child. Perhaps from kindness or even just simply not wanting to let someone with obvious spirit connections slip through the cracks of society.

Little girl. Cautiously he made his way towards the child, his steps slow and even as he spoke in a gentle tone. Are you alright? For the moment, not letting on that he had seen anything besides a crying child and sought to comfort her. But even as he moved around the garbage filled alley, a small body flew from the piles of rubble, landing a hard punch to his stomach.

scream Leave er alonestupid mages, nadda aknowing to mind yer own business. stare The young mage fell back to the ground, not realizing the girl had a companion or that he had such a mean left hook. Gentle blue eyes looked at the raga muffin in front of him and had to smile. The imp couldnt have been more then twelve, and in some ways worse shape then the little girl. Dressed as she in rags and tatters, still he looked as if he would be the girls knight in shining armor. Even more so as she looked to the young boy in adoration, her tears drying as she watched her hero.

Im not trying to hurt her young man. Im trying to help her. Still the blatent defiance as her stalwart rescuer stood in front of the sprawled mage, his arms crossed over his body with his feet spread. The mages hand went from the ground where it had braced him to run through his hair in frustration, the tendrils moving through his fingers easily till it reached the hair band holding the long locks at his back. She has a gift. I want to take her to the Light Temple so they can train herhelp her

He looked again at the two misfits from society. cloth herfeed her? Hoping that by playing on the boys obvious care for the young girl he could convince him without any harm coming to anyone. At least that was the plan, seeing as how he was the one currently hurt and he wasnt about to kick a little boys backsideyeahthats the storyRight Despite him being in the dirt currently. rolleyes

The young boy looked uncertainly from the mage to the girl, who had by this point run up to him and was clinging to his side. No weave my Davie. Her speech patterns making the young mage look up again, she looked too old to be having speech problems.

Maybe she wasnt smart enough to benefit from the Temples teachings after all. He looked closer however and she looked back at him curiously before giving him an adorable smile, the gap of her two front teeth becoming glaring obvious. She had recently lost her teeth most likely.

Wouldnt you like to sleep in a soft bed. Eat warm food, dress in pretty clothing. Chuckling as her grey green eyes lit up in excitement. At least one of the few things he understood about females was holding true.

The boy held her close to his side as he looked distrustingly at the mage. How do I know you wonna hurt her..? but the mage could see he was already considering the idea. He held his hands out imploringly.

Im a light mage. Who is it that comes out and brings warm food to the shelters, who heals your wounds when you are brought to us? still, deep brown eyes looked uncertain before he knelt down and looked the girl in the eyes.

Kalinwera gonna take ya to the Light Temple. Biting on his lip as he saw the young girl shaking her head violently. Dun worry. Ill go with you. Turning to glare at the young mage, as if daring him to argue. I wonna leave you alone till ya say its okay. He turned and placed his hands on his charges shoulders and placed her in front of him. Alright mister, well gobut only so Kalin is taken care of. The girl clutched something about her neck as she looked between the young mage and her protector fearfully.

Slowly, taking care to keep pace with the young girls steps, they made their way to the Light temple, the young girl keeping watch over her friend and the new stranger. Still her hands clutched at her throat, her tiny thumb rubbing over something slightly metallic again and again.

Kalinthats your name rightwhat do you have there. The mage trying to be friendly but not knowing what else to say. Davie wrapped the length of his arm about the girl and glared up at the mage.

Ita was aroun her neck whena I found her. Is think it was her mums. pointing to the delicate chain that whatever it was was chained to. Still the young mage wasnt getting a very good look at the thing and decided to drop it.

What it is, is a warm meal! from out of nowhere, yet another ruffian appeared, still no older then Davie but he yanked Kalins hand from her body, the young girl yelping in pain as the chain broke against her skin

The brute ran off as fast as he appeared, but Davie seemed prepared as he gave chase, calling out behind him. Dun worry, Kalin. Ill get it. Grinning over his shoulder as he ran off, as if he had not a care in the world. Kalin clutched onto the mages robes with her grubby hands as she watched worriedly.

He be okay? the girl looked up at him with a lot more trust then the boy had. That, at least was a good sign.

The mage had been about to nod and say of course, despite his own reservations about the fact. Indeed, he had been about to run off after the ruffian as well in order to see the little girl smile. Instead he bent down and cupped the childs bottom in his arms and lifted her up to his slim hip.

Im sure hell get your pretty back. You just stay here with me for now, okay? watching with a small smile as the auburn mop buried itself into his shoulder before turning the way the boys had run. A few moments later, he heard a shout and a scuffle. Keeping the child in his arms he ran towards the sound, the flaps of his robe fluttering around him as he moved. He hoped he would make it in time, surely the boys wouldnt kill one another over a simple trinket!

There, lying on the ground, was both boys. Clutched to his chest, Davies fist held something, the chain sprawling out from his tightly curled fingers. But it was more the blood that ran from the boys next that worried the mage first. Next to him, the other boy laid out, the only sign of discomfort a bloody nose as his head rested against a brick from the building next to him.

Putting Kalin down, he quietly told the girl. Close your eyes and dont open them till I tell you to, okay? she nodded and put her hands over her eyes and started counting as if they were playing a game. The mage then went and looked over Davie, figuring him to be the most seriously injured. Indeed he was, but it was already too late. The mage took a deep breath, letting it out in a heavy sigh. He reached up towards the hand and pulled the trinket out.

Well, you got it back for her. You did good, Davie. You did good. He then tucked the trinket in his pocket and went back to the little girl, hoisting her up once again unto his side. Come little one, you have many things yet to see. This should not be one of them. Quietly, without disturbing the girl who easily cuddled into his shoulder, he summoned a spirit to deliver a message to summon who would take care of the body of the little hero and take the attacker into custody.

The Judgement
And thats what happened, milady. Standing there before the desk of his superior. He said nothing more, his hands clasped behind him The petite woman before him simply nodded slowly, her delicate hands flipping through the paper work.

Do you regret your choice, Dainel? What of your wife and child? How do they consider the child? Her piercing silver eyes looked out from a pale face, surrounded by a shield of long deep black hair, the Eastern quality even more pronounced in his opinion then when she wore dress robes.

The slightly tousled head shook, even as he smiled. The woman before him remembered a time when she wondered if he had ever smiled so she welcomed this change that had come over him these last few years. But protocol still had to be observed. She waited for him to elaborate, enjoying the feeling of his discomfort just a little bit more then she should but he had been one of his classmates at this very temple so many years ago and she was only human after all.

I regret nothing. The tone of his voice was simple, but also filled with pride. She noted that emotion but still remained silent. She knew what was coming. Anyone in the temple did. She is a pride to our family. She excels at her studies. She is polite and she is kind to those around her. Aquaris adores her as if she was her own a small pause in his voice as he tried to keep his family pride out of his voice in respect to the woman before him, her sensibilities much different from his own, or so it appeared.

Toumas cares for her. It because of her that he came out of his shell after the accident. Hes even taken up swordsmanship and seems to be excelling at it, despite the obvious inclination his has towards his mothers side. Chuckling softly as he thought of his beautiful brown haired wife who was a mage of Water, but whom Dainel loved more then lifes itself. His voice sombered though as he thought further,

despite hisdisability

She nodded, wanting to find out more about the boy, but deciding for the moment, to finish with protocol before getting personal with her old friend. She flickered through the papers on her desk once more before smiling up at Dainel warmly. So is it still your wish that the child enters the Temple to become an acolyte of the Light. Speaking the formal words that were needed in order to begin the process.

It took him a moment to realize what his former classmate was saying. Ever year since finding the child, he had been called in her to recount the story of how he had found her, only these past two years had it been his dearest friend to whom he had to report on Kalins progress. He never knew when the words would come, or if they ever would come. Kalin despite her aptitude and obvious intelligence was often into mischief and such whenever she visited the Temple. In fact it was rare that she wasnt curious about everything and anything, but he had chosen to omit those facts from his reports.

Yes, it is both Kalins and mine intent that she should enter the school and live in the dormitories at the Temple in order to become an acolyte of the Light. He spoke the words he had been preparing for 5 years now to speak, greatly relieved that they had finally come. He loved the girl like his own, but he knew he was only keeping her safe for a while.

Still that engnamic smile on the oriental womans face as she continued speaking formally. Then on the third day of the coming month, Kalin shall be enrolled at the Temple of Light Elementals school. I wish her the best of luck. Standing up to shake Dainels hand before laughing lightly. That done with. Now tell me how Aquaris and Toumas are doing.

Elsewhere a few days later

But I dont wanna go!! the young woman child all but screamed at her adopted mother. I wanna stay here with Toumas. He needs me. Her hands lifted imploringly to Aquaris. The soft woman just shook her head and frowned, the slightly hardened leather of her boot tapping against the soft marble of the floor upon which they stood.

Kalin dRayne, would your father have gone to all this trouble.every year if he didnt believe this was the best thing for you? the tone of the normally gentle woman combined with the use of her surname making the red head actually pay attention.

Butwhat about Toumas?

A small delicate hand when to the tumbled tendrils of auburn hair, touching her daughter with tenderness as she smiled down on her. Toumas has his own school to go to. Its because of you that he wants to be stronger. That he wants to overcome this. Now, you should be strong too. You have your own stream in life that you must follow.

Trembling cupids lips met the mothers eyesight and she found it hard to look away. The fact that she was missing her son even before he left once more for school again, did not help matters. It was then that Kalins eyes left her own to travel behind her, just moments before a gloved hand rested on the older womans shoulder.

Dont worry mum. I only have two more years before Ill be home for a while. Its not like there is going to be a war anytime soon. Smiling as he felt the soft hair of his mothers brush across his fingers, the glove only going so far as to cover his palm, leaving the fingers themselves free to move.

Tearful green eyes looked up at her son and she tried to convey the pride she felt in him, but barely contained her sorrow at losing him yet again. She turned and her hands moved to brush through his hair as she had Kalins moments ago, this time stopped not by a tangle of hair, but by the silver cloth wrapped around his eyes. Tears did fall this time as they always did when she touched that material, yet she never seemed able to stop herself.

She then found small delicate arms wrapped around her waist, the pale skin a deep contrast to the tanned form of both her and the child before her. Kalin? she felt the nudge of a nod against her back and sighed, how she so dearly loved these children.

Ill go mum. If its really for the best. She then felt her adopted brother lean in against her mother and hug them both, the tightness and nervousness about going to the Temple permanently, disapaiting with the comforting touches.

Thats my favorite girl This from Toumas as he released them both before blushing a bright red that was visable in the deeply tanned face only because of the almost glaring white of the uniform he was wearing. Er.r..I meanother then you, mum. The blush brightening slightly as he heard his mother chuckle.

Its alright, Tou. I understand. More then you know. Smiling once more as she then looked at her youngest child. Alright young lady, its off to your room to finish packing. Swatting at her bottom as she passed before laughing at both her children. Tougo help her out. Im sure your presence will calm her.

Yes, mum. The boy following his sisters path through the house to the girls room. As expected, she was waiting for him and opened the door, taking his hand to guide him towards her bed. Im not a child you know growling slightly as he turned his head towards his sister, almost as if he could see her.

Of course you arent. But we take care of one another. Thats the way its always been. The young man nodded thoughtfully, still not sure if he should take insult to her words or not.

That reminds meI have a gift for you. Smiling as if he could picture the exact look of surprise on her face, despite never having seen it before.

What is it, Tou Tou!? her voice betraying her excitement and joy at the thought of having a gift from her brother as she called him by a pet name. Watching as from deep in the pockets of his uniform he brought forth a delicate chain with a small pendant upon it. The exact detail fine as the chain, a simple wiring of precious silver, an infinity loop.

Da said you had it when he found you, but he thought you were too young to take care of it. He believes it was your real mums. Hoping that the smile that was plastered on his face would reassure the girl against the lies he spoke. Dainel had told him the truth of the matter but had left it up to Toumas to decide when it would be right to give it to the young girl.

Aquais is my real mum! the young girls voice screaming at her brother even as she moved towards him to pound her fist against his leather armor. His hands just as quickly moved up to grab her wrists and pull her back. She even ignored the gift at the insult to her mother.

Shhhprecious. It was not meant as an insult. Again a soft smile before he leaned down and kissed her forehead. Remember to watch your temper. The temple of Light is a solemn place. Well meet again. She looked up at him, tears gleaming in her eyes as she looked at the silver cloth wrapped around his eyes.

Promise me, Toumas.Promise me. Her eyes silently begging the young man to hold true to his word. The stains from her tears as they fell to his shirt soaking through to where he felt the wetness against his skin as she pressed against his chest.
I promise he leaned his cheek against her head, the soft curls reminding him of other times they had curled together like this. Times that were much more innocent. Now get ready, Nickolas is ready to leave for Laburnum. Father is here to take me back to the Temple of the Water Elemental. Well see each other at the next holiday to be sure. His words gentle as he placed the delicate chain around her neck.

Welcome ceremony

The small cluster of acolytes in training stood before the two teachers, one male, one female. The usual nervous twitters abounded unless a strong voice cleared the air with a polite cough. The young man before them lifted a hand for silence, the sleeves of his robe falling to his elbow as he moved to swipe his finger across his forehead, pushing a long tendril of mahgnony hair back into place behind his ear.

Some of you are here because you show promise, some because you are determined, still others stopping in surprise as he was interrupted.

Because your parents paid a lot of money to get you out of their hair. Grinning impishly as she received the sharp look from her partner, the young female teacher just grinned. Lighten up. Were arent here to make them into Soldiers, we are here to guide them on the path to enlightenment.

He only frowned and continued, only a single glance even giving the appearance that they would be talking later. As you learn, so shall we. We shall guide you, but so shall you light our paths for us.

Sweet Blessed Light, Youre first year teachers! the small whoop of excitement rippling over the small crowd. The female teacher frowned then, looking down her list on the papers in her hand.

Kalin DRayne, step forward.

Deep eyes watching the young girl step forward, her small hands over her mouth as she had by this point realized her faux pas. Hands down. Nodding slowly as the girls hands went to her sides. As you so dramatically pointed out, we are first year teachers, but that does not give you any right to disrespect us. Is that clear?

The girl nodded, much like the male teacher did as he listened to his partner. She was handling it well, no reason for him to intrude at the moment. You may step back. This first class is again an interruption. She turned towards the door that a knocking sound was heard from, wondering who would bother them at such a time.

A young messenger stepped inside, in his hands a scroll. Quickly, he ran up to the two teachers, looking guiltily at the students before returning to duty and handing the female the scroll. I was told to bring this in immediately.

Delicate hand took the scroll and opened the seal, looking over the fine scrawl before one hand darted to her mouth in shock as her eyes widened. She looked over to her partner before handing it to him, her silent sobs building in her chest. He looked slightly puzzled but took the parchment and scanned the writing. His soft jade green eyes then looked up at Kalin and he smiled gently.

Acolyte Kalin, to my office please. Turning, he faced the other new students. You are dismissed. Return to the dormitories for lunch. Dismissing them with a wave before moving towards his office, not even bothering to see if Kalin was following. But indeed she was, the white robes falling behind her as if she were as silent as the wind, even while her heart pounded in her chest.

Once inside his office, he didnt move towards his seat behind the desk, but leaned casually against the front. He waited for Kalin to step in, the doors closely quietly and quickly behind her, leaving the now crying female teacher for the squire to deal with.

This missive concerns your family. They were attacked by Reavers, the same day you left. The words were kind and gentle but still formal. The young man a bit distant but trying to be kind and considerate, knowing that this would be a hard time for the girl. Your father, mother and brother were killed in the attack.

TOUMAS!

Until that point, the redhead had taken every word with a sort of stoic distance. She ran towards him then, her intention to beat the lies out of him. There was no way that Toumas and her family were dead. It was impossible. But while there was anger and sadness behind those blows, there was also fear. She was left alone again, much like that child so many years ago.

Dainel was a great man. He was my teacher when I first entered the school. He will be missed. But Kalin wasnt listening, her fists were clutched together against his robes as she cried, her heart feeling like it was dying as well. The man just let her however, he could always get the robes cleaned later, and perhaps it would help the child. It wasnt like he had a thought as to what to do.

You must prove them proud, show their spirits that they were right in believing in you. This was said with quiet determination as the doors creaked open to admit the female teacher once more, the squire in tow. Her tear stained face looking at the girl with fierceness.

You will not besmirch Dainels honor. You will excel. Not caring if the girl heard or not, she would take every opportunity to drill it into her head over the coming years. She would not fail.

Example of the coming years

Isnt she rather odd?

The black haired boy whispered to his companion as they watched the girl in the courtyard, who was practicing with a quarterstaff as if it was a martial weapon.

Yeah, but look at how pretty she is too, I hear she wont wear the normal outfit of the light mages, insisting on that purple ensemble They let her get away with a lot

I supposebut man, she could hurt you with that staff.

The other boy just shrugged, and smirked. Yeah, but I hear she is a spitfire. Im willing to take the risk. Slapping his companion on the back before slipping his hands into his pockets and walked towards the redheaded hellion.

Hey, Kalin-chan watching in shock as she spun elegantly on one foot, the tip of the staff slamming into his stomach, throwing him backwards to the ground. With a loud oomph and a guffah from his companion who remained watching.

The red head bent down concerned before placing a small kiss on his lips. Dont talk about a girl behind her back, you never know how good her hearing is. Before placing the palm of her hand on his forehead and pushing him back to the ground. She stood back up and looked towards the black haired companion with a smirk to both her lips and her green eyes. With a small wink, she crooked a finger at him and walked towards him herself watching as he took one step back then remained standing.

Hitoshi-san? He nodded nervously, he was after in her class, but her skill with the quarterstaff made him nervous. He watched her with wary eyes as she moved into his personal space and looked up at him, her mouth just an inch or so from his. His eyes however kept darting towards the quarterstaff.

As sensei says, you should never fear someone with more skill then you, but you should respect them. Leaning up, she pressed her soft lips to his before rocking back on her heels with a smile. You can take me walking tomorrow during break. Before she patted his lips with one finger, then traced her nail around the outside of his lip then turned and walked towards the door.

Dont be late.

Yesm wondering what in the hell he had gotten into and how. And when he had picked up her little quaint phrase to respond instead of the more respectful phrases. With a sigh of bewilderment, he made his way over to his friend, offering him an arm to help him up as the other went behind his head to scratch in puzzlement. But those red curls of her were rather enchanting

A midnight raid
A pale hand slipped from the moonlight into the darkness covered by a glove before a soft feminine chuckle was heard.

Come on, scaredy cats. Drawing her hood over her bright red curls, she tugged on her partner in crime. Motioning with her finger for him to be as silent as possible, she crept towards the door of the male dormitory.

How in the hell did you get in his question cut off as a glove smacked him in the face and pressed him to the wall with its palm against his lips.

I said quiet! She whispered softly but firmly. She looked a bit scared for a moment, her green eyes looking fearfully at Hitoshi before she smiled reassuringly even as one of the temple guards passed by, not noticing them in the darkness of the night. Once he was gone, Kalin released him and grinned like a maniac.

Megumis mum makes great cookies. I just bribed Joshea with a few to look the other way but we are still being sneaky so if we are caught he wont get in trouble if he doesnt see us, he cant tell.

Hitoshi nodded in agreement, wondering who exactly his best friend was. She always thought of theseodd little angles no one else would and it had been proven invaluable innumerable times before. So where to today my lady fair? If possible, Kalins smile only got broader

No more teachers, no more books, no more classmates dirty looks

He petted the curls of the girl who clung to him. Im not ready. I dont care what Sensei says. I have too much to learn.

A heavy sigh as he continued petting the girls head reassuringly. Kalin-chan, none of us feel like we are ready. Sensei says we are ready.

But he wouldnt even give us a final exam. Her green eyes looked up at him imploringly. How could he know without even a final exam, Hitoshi? The two had grown closer over the years, their mild flirtation growing into a deep friendship. He winched and looked around them, hoping that no one had over heard them, especially Sensei. But before he even turned, he felt the impact of the quarterstaff against the girls head that rested in his arms.

Dont be an idiot. At the end of the blow was indeed sensei. Its just your childish fears holding you back. There are no final exams in the real world.

A delicate hand rose to rub against her now sore head. Hai, sensei watching the still young teacher wander off to speak to other of his students who were now technically graduates. Sensei, and his damnable penchant for rapping people on their head when he thought they were being stupid.

Kalin-chan?

She turned and looked up at Hitoshi with curiousity, wondering what the boy had to say. Her hand went to his cheek as she waited, rubbing the pad of her thumb against his jaw. Yes, Hitoshi? It sounded important, but if it was, why hadnt he said anything in front of Sensei?

He took a deep breath and reached up, putting his hands around hers that rested on his face. I have something I need to say to you, but Im not sure how. Be began to bite on his upper lip as he watched her c**k her head in puzzlement, the auburn curls brushing against her pale and yet rosy cheeks.

You can talk to me about anything, you should know that. She pushed against her knees and leaned up, kissing the tip of his nose with her soft lips and Hitoshi thought he would die, but his cheeks just flushed a deep red, even through the yellow of his Eastern skin. What is it? Do you still have that crush on that girl you mentioned a few weeks ago?

As she pondered that possibility, Hitoshi could almost see the wheels turning in her head. There were only a few girls in their class after all and he had never mentioned her name, only that he had a crush. Deciding that rushing into it would be better then never speaking of it again as she left, he spoke out in a rush.

Kalin, marry me. I love you.

Dark black lashes blinked several times as she looked at her dear friend. Butshe looked down, trying to figure out how to phrase this gently, she had thought he was over her. I love you toobut Her shoulders sagged, her sharp little teeth making an indent into her bottom lip.

Not like that She turned away, afraid of seeing the disappointment on his face.

But we are always together. His voice implored her, not to reject him like she had so many others, like he had watched her do to so many others. We do things together that only couples do. We take long walks, we study together, you let me bring you flowers.

Please dont do this. Again a push to her knees, this time to rise from the ground where she had been sitting as she rested against him.

Maybe if things were different, but I cant love anyone. I thought you of all people would realize this.

Detailed Info
---------------------------------------------------------
Physical Description

Yusake has a decent height of 5' 6", and still growing. His hair is short, though not too short and quite unkempt looking. It mostly falls about to the length of his ears on either side, longer then that on the back of his head and just to the mid point of his forehead in the front. His eyes are a dark brown color, and carry the look of a rebellious spirit within them, determined and unyielding to others. Yusake's skin is a brown color, appearing quite tanned, but this is his natural coloration. He has a generally lithe and athletic seeming build, the kind one might expect from a boy between fifteen and sixteen years of age. As for his clothing, the first and only thing people will see when he first arrives will be the beaten, worn, a bit torn up cloak around his body...worn for the obvious reason of covering his metal arm. Yes, he indeed has a metal right arm which appears to be made from pure silver and gold, the gold being the joints of the arm and hand. The metal travels over his shoulder, and is also the same kind of metal which has been put in place of his shoulder bones, the left most side of his chest, his lower right abdomen, left side of the waist, as well as his left knee and ankle.

---------------------------------------------------------
Personality

What can truly be said about Yusake's personality that doesn't become obvious when you first meet him? He's loud, very loud, and often obnoxious to the point where you want to hit him. But, underneath that loud, lude, crudely spoken veil of 'dumb a**' as some might say, is a very honest and outspoken young man. Of course, some might say too outspoken, as he always speaks his mind, always says exactly what he means and what he's thinking, and never truly sugar coats anything. Though, he also does this in one of the must unarticulated ways anyone could think of, making him seem a lot worse of a person then he actually is. Regardless, he does care, he does have honor, though he will -never- back down from someone.

---------------------------------------------------------
Skills/Items
---------------------------------------------------------
Skills

Illis no Kai Sword - The particular style and method of fighting in both unarmed and armed combat using a particular style of sword. This style is also incorporated with Yusake's innate power of the Kai-Hino form of Serenis Light. Much of the style is meant to utilize quick motions, illusionary tactics, and methods of misdirection in order to trick, and sometimes even force, an opponent to leave themselves open for an attack. However, with a personality like Yusake's, with a known recklessness, lack of discipline, and very direct method, the style is used in many different ways by him. One that is more toward fast, direct strikes of power while also utilizing some of the swift and difficult to predict movements and illusions of the original style. Should Yusake live long enough, his own personal brand of style has the potential to be a powerful and interesting blend of the old and new. Though, as it is now, it is imperfect and unrefined, as Yusake still lacks a great deal of discipline.

Besides fighting, though, Yusake doesn't particularly have a great deal of skills. He has some trouble with willingness to learn or study outside of a fight, doesn't take orders very well or listen well to authority, speaks with an immense lack of respect, and hardly one to be considered for any sort of 'diplomacy', as he has no way with words. He can perform manual labor, but most likely if it doesn't involve the use of his strength, or his physical being, chances are he won't be especially good at it.

---------------------------------------------------------
Abilities

Kai-Hino Serenis Light - The Serenian, as a species, are divided by two separate races based on the style and color of their wings, as well as the general colors associated with their eyes. And, as with any multitude of races, these two different forms of the same species had two different generalized view of the same belief. They both believed in the same Gods, this was true, but their alignment leaned more toward one of the two Gods of Order then the other. The two races were the Chorono, and the Deireno, one of white feathers, and the other of black leather. Chorono were aligned more so with the God of Light, and because of this were born with the ability to use the White Lightning and Illumination abilities associated with that God. Deireno were aligned toward the God of Dark, and because of this they were born with the innate ability to manipulate Black Fire and Shadow. Both powers were divine, and both were a part of the greater whole that gave balance to Order itself, their ways of living and thinking were simply different. They had always accepted this difference, respected it among their people, it was just not often that the two would grow any closer then friends. Even for those that did join and become lovers, their children would either be of the Chorono or the Deireno. But, in rare occasions, there came the HInoto, the link between the two Serenian races. Hinoto are known to have a merging of the two elements that make up the innate abilities aligned with the two races. This merged form of power is named based on the greater aspect of the power. In Yusake's case, since it is a flame of white and the wings that he forms are like a bird's, it is called Kai-Hino Serenis (Serenian power, the 'kai' derived from the Serenian name for the God of Light, Kaiauras, pronounced sai-or-us, and Hino from the term 'Hinoto').

Yusake's white flame, however, has for a long time been dormant from a lack of training or understanding. Because of this, it was not until the metal replacements on his body were added did he discover his powers, and even then it was purely by accident. The particular metal both enhances the quality of his output, but also acts as a conduit for him to deliver his power. This is also how he has been able to form the energy based, white fire wings that have allowed him to learn how to fly. The White Fire itself, though it holds heat, isn't quite like fire itself. It doesn't burn like fire, though it can cause pain from the heat it generates as a source of energy. Rather, the flame cuts through things like a blade, severs, and is not weakened by forms of water or the changing winds. This power, like all forms of Serenis Light or Dark, is neither stronger or weaker then others power, but rather, is on equal grounds with all other forms of energy or magic, giving it neither an advantage nor a disadvantage, but rather leaving the success of battle up to the skill of the user, as well as his/her will to succeed. It is also determined by the output of power, more energy given means more strength in the attack, the harder you swing the harder you hit, in other words. This is often considered the staple of Serenian faith and strength. Without will, there can be no victory, no success, and no life.

---------------------------------------------------------
Weapons/Items

Ziakesetsu, Yusake's sword, his personal and, in a sense, spiritual weapon. The sword has a straight blade which reaches about four feet in length, reaching a spade like shape at the end of the blade, which is split in the center of the spade. Even though Yusake has been given the answer to why he even has this blade and yet cannot completely believe it. The sword itself is another factor of Serenian existence. Every Serenian, at a certain point in life, forms a particular weapon or tool that is a physical representative of their spirit and their will. It is a kind of coming of age, much like the wings and eyes of a Serenian. In Yusake's case, it was a strangely elegant straight blade that he found in his hand when he woke up one morning. He doesn't totally understand the significance of this blade, but at the very least he understands it is deeply important to him, and though he doesn't often use it because of his inexperience, he almost always has it with him. This weapon, like the particular object every Serenian eventually attains in life, is dependant on the spirit and will of the user. Even after death, the blade will refuse others and be strong, but should Yusake's spirit break, the sword will shatter from but a single strike.

---------------------------------------------------------
History:

Yusake's life is not one of pleasant or happy memories, even after its early years. Yusake was born in Sagrant Heights Hospital to a mother he doesn't even know the name of. He doesn't know the name of his father, as he had left Yusake's mother shortly after his birth. Yusake never had known much of the 'good life' as he lived in poverty with his mother. She had tried to give him as much as she could, even the food that she herself needed, though it was not always enough. Certainly wasn't enough, not for her anyway, for over the years she had grown ill from a lack of proper nourishment around the time Yusake was nearing his eight birthday. It was on the day of his birthday that she passed away, and was soon found. Where normally the city would have stepped in and taken the child...Yusake decided that he didn't want to be taken. Being unusually resilient and strong for a child his age, he managed to punch one of the social workers that came straight in the crotch, and ran off. And though he was searched for, he was never actually found, and so the young boy disappeared into the alleyways of the city. Young Yusake, alone and without anyone to care for him, simply wandered for the next two years. He managed to figure out how to get food and keep himself alive for the duration. During this time, he had picked up rather bad habits of swearing and rudeness, but at the same time was quick to learn what a temper and a never die attitude could get you. And after two years of his idle wandering and living, if you could call it that, the second event of his life unfolded in what began as a rather ordinary day.

He was simply walking down an alley, as usual, when he stumbled upon four young men. Only one of them really stood out though, the one who was wearing all black pants and a shirt, a black trench coat and very long...purple hair? It was strange, that was for sure. But that's what made Yusake more curious to find out what was going on. The other three were around the man's age, or maybe a little younger, a little older. They were surrounding him, and practically getting in his face. He could he words like 'f*****t' and 'gay' and well, he didn't have a clue what they meant. What he was sure of, was that it was three people trying to push around one guy they probably didn't even really know. It irritated, no, enraged Yusake, the idea that they could all act so brave when they were outnumbering this guy, brave enough to act as tough as this. So Yusake did what any other ten year old boy would do when confronted with a situation like this involving men in their late teens to early twenties, he shouted at them "Hey mother ********> yes, the first thing he said was 'Hey mother ********'. And from there he would continue to bad mouth them, talk down to them, and insult them. They more less thought it was a joke and laughed at him, one of them walking up to him to taunt him up close. That was most certainly not the best idea, as no sooner had he approached Yusake and leaned toward him did Yusake punch him straight in the groin. Yusake then grabbed his shirt, climbed up the man's left knee and wrapped his left arm around his neck, latching on as he continued to pummel at the man's face, mostly his left eye. By the time his two friends came along, he was already on his back being punched into by a ten year old. It isn't long before Yusake is kicked off of him, then stepped on and kicked at by the other two. Yusake tries to fight his way up, flail his arms a little, whatever he can do to stand but alas, is unable to. It isn't long before the sounds of pain and bodies being hit and kicked around is heard, but to his surprise isn't the sound of it happening to him. When he stands and opens his eyes, he sees the older man with the purple hair standing, and the other three well...lying down after having taken a serious beating.

Yusake gives the older man a thumbs up and a wide smile, yet to his surprise, the man gives him a very bland 'thanks' and walks away. He calls back toward the man as he's walking off, but doesn't even get his name before he's gone. It isn't until two months later he runs into him, and finds out his name is Maru. When asked why he helped, Yusake gave the most simple of answers, too. "Whatever the hell you do is your own thing, and if some punk b***h has something to say about it, he should say it to your face alone, not act all tough with his friends backing him up." it...actually impressed the man in the middle of the others, such honesty and well, stupid bravery, from a child of only ten. They remained friends for the next few years and kept somewhat close, until Maru inexplicably disappeared. Though, it didn't bother Yusake entirely too much, not considering how he would often disappear without warning then come back whenever. He shrugged it off and kept living the life he now had, which was about to take another change only a month after he turned fourteen. In perhaps one of the most bizarre and yet to be explained events in Yusake's life, he had one day simply been walking along the sidewalk, as a start. He inexplicably noticed something, felt something behind him as a gust of wind blew. When he turned around, there was absolutely nothing by the people, and the sidewalk. However, when he turned back around and began to walk...everything had changed. The scenery was different, all of the people had just simply...vanished. Beneath him was the touch of hot sand, and how fortunate he was that he was wearing shoes at the time. He could immediately feel a blistering heat around him though, which came from the sun well above him in an orange sky. To his surprise, he was standing in the middle of a desert! He practically froze at first, completely shocked by what had just happened. "Son of a ********! What in ******** hell?!" he shouted out abruptly, quickly beginning to look around him angrily. He looked in each direction, the west had tall mountains which nearly vanished into the distance, distorted by the heat around. Ahead of him in the north was a rocky, torn looking path that looked no better then the east, which was simply a long straight path that lead to a sloping dune. And to the south, to Yusake's interest, a series of odd stone pillars and half buried structures. Yusake decided to go toward the ruins, the closest form of shade he could find, and he actually figured he might find something, anything that could be helpful.

When he neared the ruins, a slight shudder was felt over the ground. Yusake only noticed it slightly though, and didn't give it anymore then a slight glance downward. He continued past, and another slight tremor occurred, this time some of the sand depressing under him. This began to worry him, though there was little time for that before the next, and more fierce of tremors that erupted over the ground. The tiny specks of sand jumped over the ground. The partially buried buildings and pillars shook violently, some of them uprooting from the surface as the sand formed a mound, one which began to quickly rise up higher and higher. The shapely mound soon began to ripple, a more defined shape forming underneath the raising sand that fell poured off of what was beneath it. The first visible form that showed was a large head, far larger then even Yusake's meager teenage body. The head was completely white, hairless, and slight oblong in shape, with a pair of large, segmented looking black eyes. Each segment held a small, white dot for an iris, and each iris constantly moved about and shifted directions. As the sand poured from the front of its head, its forehead began, without reason, bleeding in a horizontal line. A quick burst of blood spurted as the cut that formed opened, revealing a large, black eye that looked more like a smoothed stone of obsidian then even an actual eye. With this, the creature stared at Yusake, lips curling back to reveal many rows of dagger like teeth along its mouth. It reared back slowly, then extended its head and let out a horrible shrieking roar that began at a very high pitch, then slowly lowered in pitch to a more fitting sound of a beast its size. The air around it became distorted by the roar, buildings and pillars cracked, and the sand spread away from its entire, white body in an instant. The monstrous creature was perhaps twenty times Yusake's own size, with a pair of massive arm like fore legs. The legs were heavily muscled, with many, seemingly random black spikes that protruded in a bent form from its body. The feet at the end of these arm like appendages were in fact hands, long, lithe fingers with claw tips. However, these could not be seen over the large flurry of tendrils that covered over the hands the way shaggy fur covers a dog's paw. Its upper body was large, oversized compared to the lower body, which was scrawnier. The smaller lower half had a pair of bent, cricket like legs, each with small, straight, spiked claws of black that protruded from the feet. From its upper back, a pair of arachnid like legs, large and brutish, could be seen with many smaller protrusions, making the pair of motionless legs appear almost...like wings. Finally, a long, thick tail with plate like armor appeared from its rear section. The tail had a thick mane of black hair covering the tip, with a large, spear head like blade at the end of it.

Yusake was almost in awe as he stood before this horror, his mouth left agape. He stared for several long seconds, saying nothing, until... "What?! You ******** want something? Huh?! Got something to say ya big b***h?!" ...he screamed and cursed at it. His right arm was extended, pointing straight at the beast, which seemed to react specifically to what he said. It swiped the right claw like arm, the tentacles flailing about as it swung directly in front of the much smaller young man. It took about a split second before Yusake realized... His entire right arm was completely gone, his eyes widening very suddenly as he saw the blood from what was left fall to the ground. The pain had set in very shortly after, and he screamed terribly in agony, turning the other way and falling to his knees. The pain was so sudden, so fierce, that he could not help the tears which came down his face. Steadily though, he tried to force himself up, bring himself to his feet as if he weren't willing to let even this stop him. But before he could push himself halfway up, a quick, sudden sting hit him. It was the feeling of the creature's tail blade nicking his shoulder bones, causing the flesh and bone to burst and send blood pouring. He leaned back and made a sharp cry of pain, turning over again as, now completely unable to move almost. And still, he struggled, trying to get up, his vision blurred from a mixture of the horrible pain, the loss of blood, and the tears filling his eyes. He could barely see the outline of the beast and its tail raising, and barely had a chance to react as what appeared like large spikes launched from the tail. He felt several new sensations of pain, two straight through a section over the left of his chest, as well as one along his lower abdomen. The worst of which, though, was the one which shot straight through his left knee and shattered it, severing the lower half of his leg from his body. Yusake turned over again, unable to even form coherent words, his remaining arm being the only thing he felt he could actually move. He actually, though barely, tried to use it to drag himself but to no avail. He could hear the beast approaching steadily, as if it were enjoying...just watching him struggle. There was immense pain throughout his body, and an impending sense of his own demise, which he could not avoid. This was the first time ever that Yusake had thought over something like that, the first time he ever considered dying. And yet, the worst was yet to come, as all sound around him suddenly became...silence. He felt immense pressure over his body, which felt as if it were being compressed, perhaps even crushed slowly. It wasn't the creature's body though, no, he couldn't feel a single part of it on him...but rather the air. There was no sound, and the sand was being blown harshly from the ground, the air distorting. He couldn't see what the creature was doing, but he knew, truly knew, that this was the work of it. His heart began to raise quickly, his blood pumped at an erratic pace, and many rough visions began pouring into his mind. Yusake could not even decipher them properly, various people he had known, Maru, his mother, people he had never seen, things he had never seen...images he didn't understand. And still, the blood rushed, his head began to feel as if it were being compressed within, and the rushing blood that he felt within it didn't help. His eyes rolled back, and a more intense pain began to set in as it felt as if his body were being split apart and skin flayed from his bones. But, before long...he started to fade, and soon enough, he blacked out entirely.

However, as you are undoubtedly aware of, this was not to be the end of the young man. Yusake's eyes opened, though he had hardly expected he would ever see light again. Though he was dazed, and very unsure of where he was... He was still alive. At first he slowly leaned upward, but abruptly sat up as he appeared to be laying in a hospital bed. Yusake recognized it to be a hospital bed from his early childhood, where he had been to the hospital once before, his mother took him. He didn't remember quite what it was for, but remembered the shot he had to get, and also quickly remembered how much he disliked hospitals. However, the room itself was...not quite a hospital room. It looked, strangely enough, more like a laboratory, and this both worried and confused him until... "Oh, hello there, it appears you are awake, this is good." he heard an older man's voice nearby. The man was wearing a completely white suit, and this...unnerved Yusake even more. But, the man assured him that he was lucky, actually, lucky to be alive. Yusake didn't exactly believe that at first, but before he managed to really even accuse the man, he noticed his right arm. was the first thing he shouted when he saw that his entire right arm was metal. He wasn't even sure how he had missed that but, sure enough, it was there. From that point, the man introduced himself as Solumone Graves, a merchant who found him lying half dead with a broken body. He also explained that, with the last of a rare metal he just happened to have, he was able to replace the young man's missing parts. In disbelief, shock, and anger (Of course) he swung his fist for the older man. To his surprise there was...no-one to hit. He turns with his fist still thrown through he air, and sees the man further off to the side from where he actually punched. "What the fu..." was all he had the chance to say before stumbling onto the floor from the missed punch. Solumone commented on his language and said they would need to work on that, Yusake told Solumone to ******** off. That would be the beginning of their...relationship, if you could call it that. Solumone explained that Yusake would need to repay the debt he now has for the replacement of his body parts using that rather rare metal. Yusake, in a sudden spurt of anger, glared up at Solumone yet did not quite feel the strength he needed to stand again. At first, he asked Solumone what this price would be, and with a warm smile, he told Yusake that he would only need to work for him as an assistant to pay the debt off, lift some things, help him around a little, and travel with him. He did not have to think over the offer for long, though, as given the...strangeness of how they met, and the fact that Yusake had no actual life to go to, and nothing to lose anyway, he accepted.

Throughout their three years together, Solumone and Yusake had encountered a fare share of interests, and the like. A few months after beginning the journey, Yusake met a young woman that he fell in love with. Though, unfortunately, traveling so much prevented them from being able to carry the relationship on for long. And so, after about six months, Yusake was forced to leave his first love behind at only fifteen. He, at some point, found Maru again and also found out that Maru was already acquaintances with the "Old man" as he called Solumone. Though, Maru never particularly cared for Solumone and seemed...never to trust them. Solumone also enlisted the help of an experienced and well versed swordsman who trained Yusake until the young man quickly grew tired and simply quit. Though he did manage to learn some of the technique and skill he uses now. After that, he was enrolled in a school specially made for a person such as himself, and even to this day is still enrolled, though has not shown much of himself since Solumone has kept a much closer eye on his studies, especially after his second place running in the school's recent tournament that Yusake entered. Though luck would find Yusake, as he managed to find a new relationship that he is more then happy with, even if he doesn't always get as much time as he would want to because of his increase in study routine. Yusake, to his complete surprise, has also discovered that he has an older brother who was raised by his father, and is many, many times better then him. Kujiro Akimoto, his name was, and in their first encounter, Yusake was easily beaten by the older man. It wasn't long afterwards, though, that he then learned that Kujiro has a twin sister, who is very, very different then her brother. And though he does like the times when she comes by a lot more then when Kujiro comes to judge him, she is quite...energetic and pushy. And though Yusake is still enrolled in Ria, he also wishes to explore other regions, other places, especially the place where the young woman he is now involved with is. Hell, if she isn't coming around to see him, he'll come around to see her...and of course, Solumone has to follow step... "God damn it..."

This is his true reason for remaining in Black Amber, the enviorment around is just a bonus. Periodically he would disappear and return, his last disappearance was his longest. During this time he met his father, who then proceeded to tell the young man about his heritage. His father, known as Idwin, helped Quils make his revelation and completed his personality. Quils became stronger, his personality merging with Id and balancing out the young man. The weapon he used to wield, Death Knuckle, was destroyed in an honorable duel against his father, who granted his son with a pair of gloves fit for one of his lineage. He also met his older half-sister. She is a full blooded devil with a sentimental heart. She wants to get to know her brother, if only he could get over their violent meeting. Before returning to his newfound home, he visited the land he was born in. This was a country of summoners, he was surprised to find many others like him. This was the only place, other than Black Amber, that he felt secure in. After some time he visited one of the academies where he was given a crash course in summoning. Quils returns to Black Amber for one person.
Powers:
1) Id Form: Quils can channel his aggression into a beastly transformation where his speed and strength are boosted. Id used to be the second persona that inhabited Quils' body before merging with him. In the past when Id took over Quils, his body would change. His hair would become a cross between crimson and violet, his face would become animalistic and his muscles would flex even when resting. These traits have now become the Id Form.
2) Double bomb: Pressing both fists together, while wearing his Buster Gloves, he delivers a small yet powerful explosion in a precise area. The blast, though, also harms the user if they are inexperienced in using the gloves. These are not novice weapons and it is ill advised for anyone other then Quils or Idwin to try to use them. Because of Quils' previous weapon, Death Knuckle, he can wear these gloves and execute this attack without any harm to himself or bystanders.
3) Summoning: Quils can use Summoning magic to conjure up beings from an ethereal plane. From his summoning style these beings take on a completely different form that varies from user to user. One person may summon Ifrit and it will look like a pyre of flames encircling a mighty man another would summon Ifrit in the form of a woman with fire red hair and a short temper. Quils has the latter, whenever he summons a being they end up turning into a scantly clad woman who becomes overly affectionate towards Quils. Further note: The summons cannot be dispelled until they exhaust their power or decide to go home on their own accord.
Summons Learned:
*Basic: Summon Staff
1)Ifrit: A fiery redhead with a short fuse and an even shorter skirt. She is very possesive of Quils and is in love with his Id Form.
2)Shiva: A calm and cool young woman with blonde hair. She tends to stick around longer just to admire Quils' physical appearance.
3)Titan: Has yet to be summoned.
4)Leviathan: Has yet to be summoned.
5)Ramuh: Has yet to be summoned.
6)Bahamut: Has yet to be summoned.

His emerald green eyes have gained a serious gaze, piercing through the darkest of night with it's Semi-demonic gaze. His clothes are always made from light airy materials with some layer of padding, usually a flak vest.
Race: Half Angel, Half Devil

Name: Lihtan Deorc

Age: 26

Race: Lihtan is called a Spiritus Diabolus. A Spirit Devil. THis race comes from the depths of the spirit realm, meant to terrorize and destroy everything around them. Most take the forms of humans although they tend to often return to their spirit form in order to battle.

Appearance: Lihtan stands at 6'2" and is broad of shoulder. He has deep brown eyes that have specks of silver, making them seem as though they were bits of sapphires. His hair is a golden-red and falls to his waist. He usually keeps it tied back so it doesn't get in his way. His face has the classic roman view except he has a very high forehead. On it is a tattoo of a iron cross. It is only an inch or two big though. On his back is a tattoo of a large dragon flaming, its fingers clutched around a human male. On his right arm is a larger iron cross with a dragon wrapped around it.

He usually wears loose clothing so that way he could move comfortably and sticks to dark colors. He always has a pair of black boots on with a single red streack along the bottom.

Weapons: He has a single double barrel 32" rifle that is usually slung over his shoulder. The strap is made of old leather and has small black stones sewed into it. THe gun itself has a dark finish and has worn with age.

His only other weapon is a dagger that he keeps in his boot at all times. He often times doesn't show it to any one as it is his last minute weapon.

History: Lihtan, Tan for short, grew up in a hell hole. He wasn't born like most other beings, he was just simply there. He always took joy in destroying others lives and loved pretending to be human. He has a sadistic and manipulative side that he uses way too much. He has no friends.

Recently though, his enemies came after him and forced him into using his human body to get out of the pit. They marked him by putting a black pentagram on his back. He covered it with the tattoo though.

Abilities: Tan has the ability to see into minds but he has some difficulty gaining entrance to those who were strong willed or had faith in anything that embodied good. Once in a mind though, he is able to manipulate and slightly control their thoughts.

Another talent is the ability to return to his spirit form. It takes alot out of him so he doesn't really do it as much. While in is spirit form, he is almost like a ghost.

Lastly, he is able to use shadows and any kind of darkness as a power source to feul any attacks used with them.

Misc: He has amnesia when he gets to Black Amber so he doesn't quite know everything about himself. He knows his name and knows he can use darkness as a source but thats it.
