In the Beijing Olympics, Jamaican Usain Bolt has just won the mens 100m dash gold medal. He also set a world record time of 9.68 seconds.

The record could have even been more impressive. He took the lead halfway into the race, blew by everyone, had his left shoe untied, and started celebrating with about ten strides left to go. "Pounding his chest, turning up the palms of his outstretched arms, mugging for the cameras before he even crossed the finish line" is how ESPN describes Bolt.

Usain Bolt is the fasted man alive! There was clearly no contest. He barely tried towards the end, and could have set an even more spectacular world record.

Usain Bolt continues his fast streak...

He just won the 200m dash Olympic finals, in a world record time of 19.30 seconds. He is the first person ever to win both events at an Olympics, while setting the world record in each.

So even though Bolt won both of these races in a claer contest he destroyed the entire atomosphere of the Olympics. He should've at least finished the race before celebrating. The Olympics are bout sportsmanship and this was clearly lacking any of the sort

But can u blame him for celebrating..Bolt's main event is the 200m , he just recently picked up the 100m and destroyed the competition..And he only celebrated for the 100m , then he was down to business for the 200m..Its just too bad Michael Phelps stole the spotlight

I think he was fine for celebrating.

Bolt already had the world record in the 100m, and just wanted the gold medal. When he was easily ahead of the competition by two length, he was justified in being excited and celebrating. It's kind of scary though, because he probably could have run much faster than a 9.69 if he tried (maybe even under a 9.6?).

For the 200m, he focused till the end, because he wanted both the gold and the world record. He got both.

For the 4x100m relay, he ran the third leg (turn) at record pace, and gave a huge lead to his teammate. He was so excited that he actually followed his teammate pretty briskly towards the finish line.

he's fast, but not the fastest

usually when you set a world record for running that means you better than everyone that has attempted the race therefore you are faster than everyone else
idk what your talking about but yes he is the fastest human alive
