Lorelei practically fell through the mansion's doorway. It had been a long time since she had been through that door, most of the time she spent out in the yard near the willow trees.
However, today it was hot and she had a baby. A fussy, mean-spirited little baby named Bebe. The baby in question looked about the room, gnashing her front teeth about. They were almost completely grown in, though her other teeth hadn't even started poking out yet!
"C'mon, Mousy," sighed Lorelei as she sat the baby down, Bebe's feet kicking the whole way down. With a furtive look about her, Bebe dove headfirst into crawling through the halls. Her tail (hanging out through a hole in her diaper) swayed back and forth and bumped into a few walls, causing the cheese baby to squeak.
Lorelei put her hands in her pockets and followed Bebe slowly, a bored expression on her face.

Chaco had been, well, lounging about, actually, in the front room. Normally he'd be cleaning, but he and Ryuu (with a little help from some of Chaco's siblings, but they didn't warrant much of a mention) had spent the last three days doing a complete clean of the house and now the mansion was practically spotless. Well, except the attic, but Aylee was expecting THAT to collapse again any day now, so no one was going near it.
Therefore he couldn't help but hear when the front door opened and Lorelei entered, baby in arms. It had been a while since he'd seen any of the other Sin'aeis, and it was with a grin on his face when he exited into the foyer. "Hey, Lorelei. And this is...." He recognized the bleu cheese baby, though had no idea of her name. That one had creeped him out a bit (he never really HAD gotten on well with rodents).

Bebe looked up at Chaco and noticed his expression faltered when he saw her. So she opened her mouth as wide as she could and let out a low yeowl while shaking her head from side to side. This is what Lorelei had come to dub the 'Fizzgig Expression'.. "Sorry about her," Lorelei ran forward and bent down to pick up Bebe, "Her name's Bebe, and she's an absolute terror. I hope I wasn't this bad as a baby..." Lorelei hoisted Bebe up so she balanced her on her hip, leaving one arm free to wipe her forehead. "How have you been, Chaco? It's been awhile... don't think you've seen me since this happened, huh?" Lorelei did a little twirl, showing off her stola and teenaged body. "The mansion looks great, by the way. I haven't been here in a long time... I hope the kitchen is still well-stocked!"

Chaco couldn't help but take a small step backwards when Bebe made the very... odd... face. Which more than slightly creeped him out. Seriously, rodents. There was something fundamentally WRONG with them.
"Uh. It's... no problem. Really." He managed to tear his eyes away from the baby and looked at Lore, "No, I haven't, you look... great. Older." (way to be captain obvious, Chaco) "And... I think it still is. Probably. Ryuu does most of the shopping and cooking, now." In fact, the only time Chaco helped buy anything anymore was when he was insanely bored and couldn't find anything to clean.

"Thank you, Chaco," Lorelei crossed her arms, "Yeah, it's good to look... older."
She blinked a couple of times, and in the silence Bebe decided to open her mouth and let out her odd shriek again.
"Now, you stop that! Be nice to Chaco, if it weren't for him, you wouldn't be here to be your little terrible self," Lorelei sat Bebe on the floor again, and she scowled up at Lorelei.
"I'm really, REALLY sorry about her, I guess she's just cranky because I forgot her starfish toy," Lorelei rubbed her eyes and stifled a yawn, "How on earth do you deal with CREATING babies like this?"

Chaco opened his mouth for a moment, then closed it again, thinking. Children like this? Well... "By giving them to other people," he said eventually, though even to him that sounded a bit cruel. "Most children I have no problem with, to be honest. But," he looked back down at Bebe, "I uh. Don't do well with rodents. And she's creepy beyond belief." It was an understatement, to him.
"Er, maybe she might like something to eat? We could check and see if Ryuu's stocked the fridge. I'm sure we've got some cheese somewhere." Maybe that would shut the little cheese demon up.
