Reiyan sighed theatrically as Rongol spoke to him. "It's not acceptance that I search for," He leaned back, cuddling his guitar. "Just that they might one day show their true feelings for me!" He declared, striking a few chords. "Denial is so overrated." He sighed dramatically.

"I'm no oaf!" He called to Vyassa, offended. "For Eirian pain is a sign of undying affection!" He crowed, watching, a little shocked as Vyassa's little monster attempted to set fire where Eirian was working inside. "Little monster..." He grumbled under his breath moodily. "Fits her just right..."

"Of course you're jealous~" He cooed to Eirian, plucking a few strings of his guitar again. "I mean, seriously." He spoke, turning out a myriad of sounds from the guitar with slender fingers, pulling them together in a familiar tune. Reiyan sat back, looking pleased with his work as a whole army of golden apples appeared. "Who wouldn't want a man that could do this?" His little apple army was good for healing and the ladies loved it in his opinion. "I knew you were really very sorry, in any case~ But look at this! Work!" He declared.

Naeledo moved to cling to Eirian's leg. "Miss lady, I don't like the fire creature." He whimpered. "I think it will set Master on fire and he would be sad because he likes being pretty and likes himself in the mirror without burns." Nael explained. "Plus it's scary." He looked innocently up to Tarina as she patted his head, clinging to Eirian further.

"She wasn't feeling sorry for them, Tarina!" Reiyan called back. "She was feeling sorry because of them! Poor Eirian just can't take the competition."

Oh my. Rongol snorted softly in laughter as chaos ensued, shaking his head while the professor doused out the fire. Good thing for her that her reaction time was still fairly quick; not much damage had been done to the study, aside from several scorch marks up the walls and a couple books that littered the ground.

"Isn't it a bit dangerous to tote that... thing around, Vyassa?" the assassin inquired, quirking a brow as they emerged from the library, "I mean, I see a use in a fight and all, but still..." He eyed Biscuit warily, however making no move to shift away from the diabolical little thing.

Suddenly Reiyan seemed to have caught his attention, and a soft laugh came from his throat. "Denial would be one thing, but I think you're just delusional." He smirked a bit, head cocking somewhat to the side. "That, or you just don't have that much experience with women." He reached out his gloved hand, giving him one more hard smack on the back of the shoulder. "Keep at it."

Putting his hands deep into his pockets, he turned his attention to the rest of their odd little group. "Well," he stated simply, "Shall we all go for a little walk to relax, then?" He eyed Eirian, still shook up from the prospect of nearly losing her entire library. "I'm sure everyone could use a bit of fresh air, and the weather's rather nice..." He trailed off, stormy eyes drifting from them up towards the sky.

There was no hiding Vyassa's scowl as she shoved her disobedient pet back into its egg, followed by several strings of curses not meant for the faint-hearted. "Could've made himself useful by setting fire to Reiyan instead of the library," she grumbled quietly with a meaningful look at the bard. How embarrassing it was to have the appearance of being unable to control her own, regardless of whatever whispers circulated about her in the village. It wasn't as if the Diabolic was the easiest pet to tame, either, she remembered with a grimace. Biscuit just had to be a dimwitted mute and impulsive at the same time.

The assassin cross straightened up, running her fingers through her hair agitatedly as she turned to survey the damage. Thankfully it seemed that the losses were minimal—only a few books and a few scorch marks. "Ah, Miss Eirian..." she began, suddenly quite remorseful, "I'm dreadfully sorry for Biscuit's behavior. I will... replace what has been lost and pay for repairs." So embarrassed, and it was probably painfully obvious from the way she continued to fidget with her hair. What a horrible twist on her visit.

She tensed again slightly as Rongol asked her about Biscuit and the danger that came with having a Diabolic in tow all the time. Equivalent—in her eyes, at least—of pointing out her poor control of the... thing. "I have conducted a few experiments with the professor—" she tipped her head at Eirian for emphasis, "and it would seem that he generally has flare-ups on a fixed timetable, and even then they usually explode on him. Never has he cast a spell outside of battle before. I was not anticipating that he would feel threatened here, especially since it was not time for another one." she explained civilly, albeit a bit coldly.

"It appears we have more research to do," she added dryly, inwardly cursing the little demon. The assassin cross began to head down the path in spite of her bitter words. She, for one, needed a break.

Stunned to the point where she didn't even have a witty comeback to Reiyan's words, Eirian smiled, still somewhat shakily, at Vyassa. Still, her eyes showed stubbornness as she spoke. "I...It's alright, Vyassa." She said, waving a hand dismissively, "It's not your fault. Besides, I keep my more important books and research on my desk - the books that caught on fire were ones that were rather outdated anyways. The most I could have used them for was to use them to club someone," She paused to give Reiyan a meaningful look, "On the head."

Her calm demeanor seemed to snap back into place when Naelado clung onto her leg. She pet his head soothingly, and cracked a smile at the Blessed's words. "Yes, well. Your guardian is rather narcissistic, isn't he?" She turned to raise her eyebrows at Tarina, figuring that the other woman would agree with her. At the same time, she lowered her other hand to pat Cherub's head as well.

"A walk would be...nice." The woman agreed, Carefully untangling Naelado's arms from her legs, and instead grasping one of his small hands gently. Despite the fact she seemed calm, she was a mound of jelly inside. It wasn't everyday her study was nearly burnt down. along with all of her research after all.

As she followed the group - albeit a little slowly at first - she smiled at the female assassin cross. "I'll probably do some more research for you once we're back." She said, nodding towards the egg that Biscuit now rested in. It would - to put it somewhat mildly - suck if the Diabolic set flame to something again.

Tarina frowned at Nael's words. "Such a vain a**, he is." She agreed with Eirian. Not that she didn't know that already. Reiyan had enough strikes on her book as it was. It didn't bother her that she would probably be horrified if anyone else, or even herself would be set on fire. They still could be healed anyway.

She stared down at the bard for a while, shocked at how stupid Reiyan was. "He never fails to amaze me." She muttered darkly under her breath before leaning out of the window again and shouting. "Pray tell, why would she feel sorry because of them? My theory's more logical, whereas yours is unfortunately oh so flawed~"

Having said this, she turned back to the scene and was relieved to see the Diabolic stuffed back into his egg. Cherub was watching rather warily; many a time Tarina had threatened her with such a plight whenever she was annoyed.

Tarina followed the professor, walking beside her. "He," She jerked a thumb over to where Reiyan was. "Is not following us, is he? If he is, he'd better be careful. I'm not in a good mood, and I'd bash his face if he gets more annoying." She raised her voice to make the last sentence louder, hoping Reiyan would get it and leave them alone.

"None of that is true." Reiyan made a face at Rongol, pouting slightly. "It's all them. They're like wild creatures. They're like that thing Vyassa usually totes around!" He declared. "Spontaneous."

He rolled his eyes to the female assassin cross at her explanation for Biscuit before stretching a bit because of course he was also going on the walk. Maybe the women would realize just how in denial they were on the way. Yes. That was right!

Nael smiled innocently to Eirian as she held his hand, smiling excitedly. "Master never takes me on walks!" He looked absolutely delighted. He glanced to Tarina, tilting his head in slight confusion. "Yes." He agreed with her after a moment though he had no clue as to the meaning of her words.

"Logic and love don't mesh, my dear!" Reiyan called back to Tarina smugly. "If they did you'd all be rushing into my arms right now."
