You are the smex.
So, what does everyone like about this oh-so-famous pirate? Which version of him do you prefer? The goofier Disney version of Hook, where he's more of a comedic relief? The ever-amazing Dustin Hoffman as a sarcastic, wig-wearing Hook? Or the smexy Jason Issacs in the live-action version, being the only Hook ever portrayed in film who really pulls off the Hook from the original novel?
Tell us why ya love him. ^^
Personally, I just love Hook from Barrie's original novel, because he's described as so dark and attractive. xD Jason Issacs is also great, but that's because he was so much like the character from the book!

Dustin Hoffman's version from Hook is probably my favorite. Because he mention killing lost boys and I like that. >> I haven't had a chance to read the book yet, but I've done a lot of research on it. (the text isn't readily available to me.)
The 2003 Hook was HOT as ********. I liked him a great deal because he was more serious and evil than the others. Is it wrong that I enjoyed the parts of that film that seemed just a tad slashy?

Jason DID pull it off really well. I believe he is my favorite of the three. Poor Hook.... so old,.. alone, and... done for. neutral Not to mention dead. *cough*

i'll argue that it depends on which version you read/watch on whether he's really dead or not....

The Hook character from the '03 movie was great! He is so funny, even though he's the bad guy. I actually found out that he also plays Mr. Darling in the movie as well.

I think that might be a trend started by the older Disney cartoon. Mr. Darling and Captain Hook shared the same voice actor.

The most handsome Captain Hook for me would be the one from "Hook" with Robin Williams!! He is hilarious and plays a amazing Captain Hook/Mr. Darling.
Ooo!! And the live-action one with Jeremy Sumpert!! <3 "OLD!! ALONE!! DONE-FORE!!" xDD

I think that might be a trend started by the older Disney cartoon. Mr. Darling and Captain Hook shared the same voice actor.it all returns to nothing, it all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down...
actually, it was started with the original play by Sir Barrie. there were issues with the actress playing the Mother, who was also supposed to play the Captain, so the actor playing Mr Darling said he would and it is a staple that has just stuck. although the explanation never made it into the original book, it was implied.
and, personally, i like to combine them together. there are parts from pretty much every version that i prefer, and yes the image is always drawn back to Jason Isaacs, although dressed more like Dustin Hoffman was.
it all returns to nothing, I just keep letting me down, letting me down, letting me down...
