Amnity watched as the men jumped into the portal, then rolled her eyes. "Geez...Men are so pigheaded sometimes." She muttered, shaking her head. The general turned to her lieutenant and nodded. He stayed motionless, standing beside Yinter in the same respected position.
"Come on Raven, lets go." Amnity grinned, stepping closer to the portal. She held out her hand for her to hold. "We have to make sure those guys don't accidentally kill themselves."

Raven grabbed Amnity's hand and held on tight like a small child wanting her mother. She could only hope that in her rush she hadn't screwed up, she wasn't worried for her sake, she was aware enough to protect herself, but for Lassan and Lucian's sake. Amnity was being smart in going with her, at least Raven could protect her if somthing was wrong, and that was why she held on so tight.
With a mumble she activated the portal for herself and Amnity, the stedy power and patterns that rushed around told her that she had done it right. Lucian was probably fine too, but she couldn't vouch for Lassan who had stupidly gone through before she was ready.

Amnity held Raven's hand tight, then clenched her bow, keeping at her side at all times. The rush of light surrounded then, locks of her silver hair levitated as a strange sensation filled her. "Hey Raven....Uh....I know that this is the inappropriate to say but..." She closed her eyes, the light blinding her a bit. "I really Really hope your right when you said that the portal didn't kill that soldier."

David came up closer to the portal. He could see the guardians he knew very well their positions. Shay and David where hunters so moving swift in a straight line from the inn was no problem for him and he knew that it wasn't for Shay. Well even if it was, then she was running next to him and as far as he thought she knew as much as he did.

Shay lurked near the castle’s opening. The tree’s swayed with the gentle breeze that blew, and it stirred Shay’s hair out of it’s tamed holding. She looked over at David and quickly made her way within it’s opening.
Shay walking in the room and immediately noticed the lifeless body sprawled out on the ground, a way’s near the portal. She already knew he was dead without even examining him, not to mention the stench of his decaying body told her of his demise. Yet it seemed as if he was dragged from the portal’s opening, which intrigued her curiosity. Shay leaned down and began investigating the footsteps that were left behind. She noted two very particular footsteps that seemed to be ahead of the rest of the group. One was etched in fine stitch and large-- the fine stitch indicated someone of importance, maybe royalty. Or at least highly ranked by one. The other, had small feet which indicated a female, and probably a highly asked associate. The nearness they both stood by each other said it all-- that and that the other most like relied, or simply had her for informational purposes. Yet she noticed the dominate male or rather large foot print with fine stitch-- had walked within the portal first. "Interesting." She though, yet continued onwards.
Shay felt as if something was done here, something that circled around the portal. But she couldn’t put her finger on it. They must have either came to the conclusion that the body held some key knowledge and that’s why they examined him-- or they merely though the portal must have killed him. It was only the logical approach. Yet Shay circled around and studied the other foot prints. All in all, they all went through the portal. Two females and the rest men-- probably soldiers searching for villages to burn or save.

David looked around as he smelled the air. Blood hadn't spilled recently so there had not been a fight on this side. That was a good fact because the dead body could have been the remains of a guardian. If then perhaps demons held the other side and it could have been trouble to pass through but seeing as the steps on the ground had no directions on moving away form the portal then there was most likely no problems on the other side. "Want to go first Shay? Or do you preserve to keep my back?" A smile could be seen on Davids lips yet his hood covered the rest of the face for now.

Shay stood up challenging his easy going stare, and his two twisted, meaning comment. "Those who stay in the rear-- take in the rear." She said casually with a smirk, and then continued with sarcastic enveloping her voice. "Don't worry, baby-- I'll go first." She winked at him, and with that said-- an easy grin and smirk on her face. She casually slipped through the portal, nothing but her musical laughter, following in her awake.

David smirked as he started to run. Shays comments was quite playfully and not in the same cold manor as it where when they met in the inn. This would become interesting David thought. The laughter filled the room even as David jumped through the portal and it filled his ears as even he vanished into the portal.

Two horses arrived with two hunters. One man and a woman appeared shortly after each other. The male rode away form the portal holder the horse of the woman. "Want to ride on my horse of the way to the inn?" David would carry her on foot if that's what she wanted. He knew it and wanted to do it but in the same time it would be heavy to do so.

She gazed at him, wondered what he was thinking when she asked him to stay with her. Or at least until she healed. She had hoped for a reaction from him, anything that would tell her he felt the same way she did of him. With a heavy sigh, she looked down at him and smiled. "I think it would be best if we ride together." A shadow of a blush touched her cheeks and then faded as she drove such thoughts of his arms around her. She knew what she suggested would be a little intimate, since her back side would be nuzzled close to his chest and body. But it was better to ride with him, then to try on her own only to tear and reopen her stitches and wounds.

David didn't wait for her to say anything more. He lifted her quite sudden from her horse and placed her in front of him. Best way to get things over with. he had to act like a man but still he kept the respect for her as he had from the beginning. This was difficult but soon both where riding down towards the inn on the same horse, dressed similar and armed similar. Two hunters together and that was probably the oddest things people along the road had seen for a long time. Yet David like the feeling of Shay in front of him.

Shay gasped suddenly at David's quick maneuvering of her, from her horse to his. It shocked her in his strength abilities at how easy it was for him to lift and move her. And it stirred new feeling of admiration and affection for this man she knew very little of.
Shay blew a low whistle that in turn signaled the horse to follow. She always had a way with animals, some called it a gift. Others merely shunned her, yelling witch and the likes.
Sighing heavily in thought, she leaned back and rested against David's muscular form. Closing her eyes she took in the feel of his built against hers, the smell of pure male. She was getting attacked to David. Longing for someone she never knew she could ever want or need. And oh how she needed him in her life. She never knew she needed anyone until she bumped into him. Just then she opened her eyes and gazed at him. Everyone who lurked about or looked upon then drifted from her mind and senses. All except for this man. It was as if everything was in slow motion. The casually way his lips formed into a smile that had her stomach filling with hundreds of butterflies. Or the sensational way he always had consideration of her feelings. Not only as a woman, but as a comrade and a friend. Friend. That one word sliced through her insides and burned her through her core. It made her want to cringe inside and die. How could she fall for someone who didn't see her the way she saw him. She looked away from him shoving her thoughts on to more useful things, when she spotted the Inn. A mix of dread and relief washed over her. As she knew this is were their alliances ended.
"It looks like were here... There's the Inn." She said in a rather gloomy mood, nodding towards her long awaited doom.
