Veroen smugly listened to her as she voiced her concern for his situation. Veroen had no real concerns. It was not that he was overconfident, it was that he knew what he was now capable of, and it would not just be him against the entire Coven. Veroen had many allies in the Void. Alasdair knew these techniques, but only to an extent. Veroen had delved deeper into the Void, and learned many things. Veroen could summon many darker things than just Void beings.
"You don't need to worry yourself over me. I am not alone in this. You just need to worry about the wolf inside, and about leading the Hunters. You have enough on your plate right now. You don't need to put more on your plate if it is not necessary. If I were to be tracked by the Coven, and ambushed, they would be walking into a trap. The Void is endless, and unlimited."
He thought about this for a moment. The Coven was smart, but did not know of Veroen's unique abilities yet. However, Veroen still needed to proceed with caution. Veroen never underestimated his enemies.
In fact, being in Veroen's room was a danger to him, and Edith.
"I think it would be a good time for us to leave. Its about time that I move out of here. The Coven could have already figured out what I have done, and that I am no longer one of their assets. The first place they would look, would be here."
Veroen then scooted to the edge of the bed, and stood up. He looked around for a minute. He then made his way over to the cabinet, and reached over the top of it with ease, because of his height. His hand then grasped something out of view on top of the cabinet, and was revealed to be a long metal rectangular case. This was, of course, his .50 Caliber Long Range Sniper Rifle, and ammo. Veroen then made his way to the other side of the room, and set it down next to the window. He also drug out a large suitcase from under his bed, and set it next to the Sniper Rifle in its case. Then, he clapped his hands once, and his clothing was instantly on his body in a flash of shadowy smoke, as well as his weapons in their proper place on his person. This also happened to Edith as well. Her comfortable clothing dissipated, and her normal clothing was instantly back on her body, as well as her weapons.
He turned, and thought for a moment. That was all that he needed. He then looked at Edith. and walked over to her. He then took her by the hand, and gently pulled her up off of the bed, and walked her over to a corner, where he stood next to her, and turned towards the middle of his room. He then closed his eyes for a moment.
He then re-opened them, revealing both of them to be completely black, save for his crimson irises. He moved his arm up in front of him, and as he did so a thin black object rose out of the floor, leaking shadow as it did so. The thin black object then extended from wall to wall, and from ceiling to floor, and was pressed up against the wall of his apartment. It looked like a giant, thin, and black blanket that completely covered one of his walls.
Then he pointed his arm away from the wall, and toward the other side of his apartment. As he did this, the black sheet-like object followed the direction of his arm, consuming every object that it passed through. Eventually, nothing was left in his apartment save for himself, Edith, and the things he had set next to the window. It looked like it had never been moved into. Veroen then turned toward Edith with a slight smile.
"Are you ready to go? It would be smart to leave as soon as possible."
