Suddenly all was clear for one all too breif instant, he saw the... sillhouete, for surely it could not have been a man.

And then he saw nothing, outraged he made no noise as he stumbled to a knee and glowing emeralds vanished within the shadows of his helm, reverting to 'see' with senses beyond his eyes he drew his sabre again.

That cursed music and haunting melodies were dulling his wits, and without his eyes, he was certainly well met... The status quo was not to his liking.

So pooling energy the air arround him vibrated intensly as he swung his blade at the form hiding withing the musics shield, a wall of blue ice like darts manifested from no-where in the wake of the flash, melting at points, lengthening into deadly shards.

Remembering the strength of her abilities the last time the music had deafened her to everything else, working with Kasai in that moment of understanding, drawing water into Cern's pond from the underground lakes.

Elemental Power.

That was the day she had grown as into a Teen.

The Day she had remembered...

Forcing cerulean eyes open, and her body into motion the slim teen moved from behind the tree K'Dan had used to shelter her. Not blinded in the least flowing like water over a dam, Sani took the path of least resistance, planting herself in front the new comer.

She just could not ignore that he was prone, and for the moment at least half blind. Using the music, sweat broke out under her mask as she pushed bothe arms out in front of herself.

Saniya, really didn't expect it to work.

It shouldn't have worked.

By condensing the water in the air, she succeeded in locking the oncoming wall of spikes into a single obstruction, protecting them until they could recover and escape.

Sinking to her knees she drew gulping breaths, knowing they were out classed, and if the giant hadn't supplied the materials she would not have succeeded even as the darts that had not been in the radius of her power burried themselves in trees, and silenced a few birds.

She wished she could explaine... but she couldn't, couldn't use telepathy until they wewre out of range, not if she was right.

At the sudden boom echoing through the air, Graey dropped everything diving forwards onto the ground. His arms were over his head and he lay still for a long moment before he moved to look around him. Had someone blown up Frosty? It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Sheepishly Graey got to his feet, glancing back in the direction the sound had come from.

A wince slipped through him as he brushed the dirt clinging to him off his clothing. Those spots the ice shards had been still hurt. His eyes searched the area and he could see a figure or two. Grabbing up his things, he slid on the gloves. If those ice shards happened again, he wanted to be prepared to yank them out immediately. Shouldering his pack, Wrennamor shook his head, murmurring. "They are on their own. At least for now. Although I suppose I can report the incident and get them some help that way. When I get back to town."

His choice made, Graey contemplated which direction would take him way out and back without running into Frosty again. Or the others if Frosty was after them. The giant was sure to be angry if a bomb had been tossed at him. Graey had a few things to work with, but for this day, he was done. With a last glance at the shadowy shapes, the man began moving away as quietly as he could go. He would definitely send them some help when he got back. Others would be more prepared for it.

K'Dan watched as his rifle's sights began to occlude the target's face... watched as the target retaliated with a spray of ice shards... and watched as they came to a dead stop directly in front of him, as though they'd struck a starship's unifield. Without really taking time to consider the source of that particular bit of good fortune, he dived to the side and rolled, just from habit and to make sure that whatever was responsible for that giant wall of ice wasn't drawing a bead on him.

Two seconds more and he was rolling back to his paws, turning to see Saniya slumping against the trees. Instinctively assuming the worst, he slapped the rifle back onto his shoulders and bounded over the shrubbery and brush to her position. Looking at her, he didn't see any immediate signs of external injury, and made a snap decision that moving her was far safer than leaving her here. He wasn't sure how stout that wall was, but it wouldn't last long if any determined adversary decided to force the issue. He reached around her shoulder, taking hold of her arm and heaving her up into a fireman's carry. Taking his bearings from his visor display, he picked the closest direction back to the colony that skirted the ice wall and moved out. He had to find the others and get them back too, his psyche and training would allow him to do nothing else.

Still slightly dazed the cat girl slid her focus from one friend to the next until her gaze slid across the massive and strange form in shades of ice and stone.

Struggling to catch her breath and maintain the silent pose heald bare inches above the ground, she centered one hand to her body lifting her hand to toss the blade. Closing her eyes she tried to use her other senses to pin him down but he scattered entirely, no aura, no magnetic pull, just a dead zone. His scent was ghostly clinging frost. She was being forced to trust her visciously dizzy sense of sight.

Opening her eyes she concentrated on the hazy on the frost scent and side armed the toss of her dagger. At worse she would miss, at best she would shift his focus to her and give the others a way out.

The glancing blow from the flying piece of metal was barely noticed and only succeeded in making him aware that he was flanked.

Knowing that he could take them effortlessly wasn't even the point. Even if he hadn't succeeded in mangling a single collonist, he had succeeded in making them fear him.

Eyes glowed from behind his helm he fell back, and summoning a freezing fog went about obstructing their vision so he could retreat.

Graey continued moving away from the lake and the place where the frostman was still with the others. He should feel guilty about leaving them there. He should. He didn't. It was a matter of survival of the fittest sometimes and running was sometimes more fit than standing to fight when one was definitely outclassed. The freezing fog caught up to him and he shivered as he stopped to glance around the area. His wounds were still bleeding and he wiped at one or two of them. They were still stinging and he knew they would for awhile yet. Turning he began to walk at a faster pace though he did wonder about the others facing him. Wrennamor was certain it was going to take more than them to bring Frosty down.

Briefly it went through his mind that Frosty had power unlike anything he had ever seen. Little stood up to that poison and yet it had done little more than obscure his vision. Maybe he needed to make a poison that was different. Something that would not freeze and cold could not affect. His mind already calculating as he followed the path towards the colony. His day had been mostly ruined. He had wounds that still hurt and not nearly as many ingredients as necessary. Perhaps he needed to see about making some bombs that would help. Obviously with such a huge opponent a machete was not going to work.

Glancing up, he realized he was still some distance from the gates. He would at least send them help and hopefully they would survive until then.

K'Dan watched the black spot in his visor thermals retreat, and he briefly cursed the luck that had him in a position without aerial assistance, a single Spatha tactical bomber would have made a hash of their opponent in an instant, never mind support from the 'Wrath itself. The thought of a solo pursuit never really crossed his mind, given the weight of his nearly-unconceius team-mate slung across his back, and the disarray of their patrol as a whole. They wouldn't be doing any engaging for quite some time, certainly not until they were better prepared. What had been intended as a simple scientific reconnaissance mission had suddenly become a whole lot more ominous. They were going to have to look into defenses for the colony, securing resources... His mind continued along that track as he followed their trail back, his eyes searching the shadows for the others.
