I AM A HUGE ALIEN VS PREDATOR FAN.

I AM SO MAD
THE MOVIE AVP2 ABSOLUTLEY SUCKED. IT IS A PIECE OF TRASH WRITTEN BY FREAKING SOCIOPATHS.

A father out teaching his 6-year-old boy how to hunt: Both dead. Of course they show the boy seeing his father die.

A cop looking for them: Dead
His caring wife: Dead

A caring father: Dead
Once again his child had to witness his death.

National Guardsmen: Dead

A Nurse: Dead

Slutty Bimbo: Alive

PREGNANT WOMEN: DEAD
AT THIS POINT I GOT SO MAD I STOPPED WATCHING.

Any person of some moral character was either portrayed as incompetent (sheriff and national guardsmen) or was killed off 5 minutes later.

I'm so mad I'm swearing.

Did anyone else have a problem with this movie?

It sucked. I hate how in both AVPs the chestbursters came out in the next scene after having been facehugged. There were also way too many characters and you could hardly tell who any of them were bu the end! It was also too dark. The design for the hybrid also could have been more Xenomrph-y because they are uniform and a race of uniform creatures who all look the same but with minor differences is a lot more scary.

I'm done.

Spoiler: "Slutty bimbo" gets nailed to the wall by a shuriken, by accident. I forget if it missed something else or if Wolf just jumped the gun tossing it. The characters were horrible, the plot sub-par, but overall... As long as it's kept in mind those weren't normal xenos, it still manages to kick Alien vs Predator's a** in having actual continuity with the rest of the Aliens vs Predator franchise. Really, in the end you see the entire movie in the commercials or that music video by "Oomph!"

it really wasn't that bad, i liked it just as much as a avp one, but i didn't like the ending though

Alien vs Predator was actually not bad at all as a stand-alone, although it did have plenty of plot holes and a gap in logic or two... But it completely conflicted with everything AvP, all the way from the movies that came before it to the comics, novels, and video games. And quite frankly... The shuriken is a ******** abomination. >_>

Requiem? Horrendous plot and characters, though Wolf was thoroughly enjoyable. The directors simply relied way too much on shock factor and not enough on good story telling. But if you cut out Alien vs Predator from its continuity and go with the freak strain theory pertaining to the xenomorphs, at least it makes some sense continuity-wise with the series that came before it and doesn't morph Weyland Aeronautics into Weyland Robotics while turning a low level engineer who designed an android based on himself from Alien3 into the descendant of the company's freaking founder.

The big problem with Alien vs Predator is it brutalizes continuity, then bends it over and shoves a baseball bat up its a** for its own jolly good time. An idea that may work fine in Japanese and furry porn, but in the real world generally leads to a "DO NOT WANT!" reaction.

The reason every character with moral value died is because they tried to stop and help people. In almost every survival movie that happens. They waste their time trying to help people and they get killed. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem helping people in a situation like that as long as it doesn't become a liability. As for my thoughts on the movie; I didn't care much for the plot, so much as I was hoping they didn't give away all the action in the previews. Which they didn't. Which is why I thought it was pretty good movie.

i think i said this before but AVP should have been with space marines because alien should only be in future setting or before well recorded history like vikeing type time period which would probably suck also

I know this is terrible saying this and sounds more like a defeated response but... for what it was it was a good movie. Could have been sooooo much worse... AvP1 anyone?

Yes things still fell flat in areas particually the characters and i am more screamingly aware of this now more than ever with my studies into character development and narratives. But at least it was a fun ride all things considered. The first one i just refuse to watch unless i'm really sick and half brain dead.

People actually clapped and carried on during this one (the 2 times i saw it at the cinema at least).

Irving, Engima, to tell you the truth...I actually liked the first one better than 2. Not to say that either one of them are good....cause I don't think they are. But AVPR just got down right offensive...I didn't like the whole "kill all the children and pregnant ladies" thing...

Plus that one pred man handled like 20 aliens at once....

Who knows, though....maybe number 3 will be good....

I agree. This first one(SUCKED BEYOND RECOGNITION) displayed the powers of the respective creatures appropriately (preds got their asses handed tom them) and at least made an attempt to not be a B-movie.

And I agree with you 100% as well. At least in the first one they might have actually tried to put SOME effort into it...they actually tried character developement and good script writing (not that the script was good). But in AVPR it looked like they just threw a bunch of actors together just to kill them...nothing more.

And where did all those aliens keep coming from? There was no queen!

Okay... The thing of it is, the first AVP was loosely based on the book Aliens Vs Predator: Prey.

They just took the book and changed the scene to earth. Big mistake. For the second, they pretty much just pulled a bunch of crap out their hind ends. Nothin' else to say about it. However, the new movie "Predators" is supposedly based on the book AVP: Hunter's Planet.
