Shadow continued forward until he was a mere 10 feet from the boy he believed to be his former rival. The explosions dampened to sparks and the gradually ceased to exist. Shadow stopped and stood for a moment staring at nothing but Derik, his stance was relaxed and calm even for the heat of the situation.
"But you aren't him. Are you?"
Shadow growled with realization examining him at the closer distance. His armor groaned and a layer of dust was disturbed as he moved his arms slowly. A short while was spent as Shadow watched his ancient arms slowly regain their former luster until he returned a blank, visor-covered gaze to the boy.
"Out of my way."
Shadow's body was obscured by a burst of magma and flame rising from a crack in the earth. The scar in the ground shot for Derik as did it's violent contents.

For saving me from all they've taken Let my honor fall again Giving me the strength to face them Feeling it taking over now I'm about to take it all away There can be no better way of knowing
((Sorry about the wait again, guys, life sucks. mrgreen ))
Zen figured this would happen, Luna wouldn't want to leave his side, and he had considered this before he even came close to the battle. All of this was going to happen and he could already see it coming. But, for now, he simply stood there defensively over his daughter, not willing to let a single thing touch her at the moment.
--
Derik merely grinned seeing the trail of flames and destruction heading his way, ready for whatever this petty demon could throw at him. Right when the attack reached him, he lunged backwards, the force of the attack propelling him high up into the sky.
Iesuet saw this, as did about a thousand other people, and to the Iridorian it brought wonder and joy, while others ran in fear considering this was possibly their first encounter with magic users. It grinned, then started running as fast as it could, eager to draw power from the fight.
There was not a second wasted with Derik's movement in the sky, it all had purpose. With a wave of his hand, an invisible wall stopped him, which he quickly used to jump off of and towards Shadow like a bullet. Instead of going straight to him, though, he hit the ground first, skidding to the demon. Then, all in one movement and second, he drew his sword and danced around Shadow, slamming it towards his back.
He was still aware of all the tricks Shadow could have pulled off in the amount of time, though, and he was prepared for Shadow to truly be somewhere else, anywhere, even.
--
Rakith couldn't help but grin a bit hearing Mimi talk like that, but he was completely focused on the fight now. If Derik were to get severely hurt, Relyk would have his head on a nice, golden platter, he was sure. Personally, Rakith liked his head, and his life as an Elite, he was just getting sick of playing the baby sitter role for a boy that definitely didn't need it, he could tell now. Derik was no pushover and he could finally see that.

Luna watched as the fight began to unfold. "Daddy, how come those people are fighting? Are they mad at each other?" Luna asked, looking up at her father as she clinged more tightly to the man that made her feel she was someone important. If anything were to happen to him she didn't know what'd she do. Would she die soon after? Luna wasn't sure, she didn't think those kind of thoughts. Mostly because they scared her horribly as well as got her into thinking about the many humans she could kill for fun. And her way of fun had changed for the better and she wanted it to stay that way. Huggling her toy closer and clinging to her dad. She had all what she needed right here that would keep her safe, aside from her vectors. -- Heather watched Iesuet leave and stood there for a moment, thinking. If they followed, what about Mei? Heck, did Mei turn tail and leave to go back home? Truthfully, she really hoped so. Nowadays, she didn't mind being alone. She felt better working by herself because around others, she felt bossy. Anyways, if they stayed, they could just chat and bore her to tears while people got hurt. Because something was obviously wrong if people were running off and such. Finally a determined look came across her face. "If you wanna, follow me to whatever is going on. We should make sure no one is hurt at least." Heather replied, taking off quickly in the direction of where Iesuet was at and that major power source as well as the familar one.

Serena grinned brightly while Grace's eyes widened. The two looked at each other and exchanged words through their eyes. Grace shook her head and Serena nodded. Without a word Serena ran off and changed her body into a pure black cheetah. Serena could only change into cats, dogs, and their familair family, as well as she could only make the fur turn black. As she caught up to Heather, Grace finally started chasing after them. "Oh Staff of Angelic Spirits, come to me." "Grace, you don't need that silly thing." "I don't have claws or sharp teeth, Rena." Grace reached out her arm as a staff appeared in front of her. Finally having a good grasp, she began to lightly spin it as she ran. A light began to glow off of it and before long the glow grew brighter. "Angel spirit, give this blessed staff wings." On the end of the staff large angel wings grew. Grace jumped on the staff and sat, much like a witch to her broom. "Serena, jump on. Heather, if you still have your wings we can all fly there and get there faster." Grace smiled softly and lowered the staff closer to the ground. Agile and quick, Serena transformed back and boosted herself on the staff. "Well, here we go." ------ Mimi smiled as she watched Derik. She made a small noise as the boy went to slam his sword into Shadow's back. Her eyes widened and gleamed with the innocent michief of a child. "Hey, Tali, we need to take notes." "Mistress Mimi..." "Isn't this amazing? Look at him!" "Mistress, maybe we should leave." "Did you see that?!" "Mimi.." "Do you think he could be sometype of god? Or maybe the magic wielders of this world are just more amazing than our world. Maybe he is a demon? And unknown demon?" "I don't know, Mistress Mimi."
Tali sighed heavily. This conversation lasted no more than a few seconds because of Mimi's fast tounge. She watched and was careful tp keep attention so she didn't lose a single detail. Maybe this man, this boy, could use some type of employment. She doubted that; he could handle it himself.

The illusion of Shadow's body faded as Derik's blade pierced it, one of Shadow's favorite tricks of deception on the battlefield. A deep red 'X' was marked on the ground where Derik was standing and suddenly the ground at Derik's feet exploded with a massive force from beneath it. A hand that would suit a god's body shot up from the marked earth composed of molten magma (or is it lava now? O.o) and gasped hungrily for Derik. Shadow spared no expense for this man who powers easily rivaled his own. From his hiding spot he grasped Sapphire and his body fell limp as a psychic tendril aimed to pierce Derik's mind.

Help me if you can It's just that this, this is not the way I'm wired So could you please,
Help me understand why You've given in to all these Reckless dark desires
Zen looked down at her, shaking his head in false confusion, the Demi had no idea what to tell his daughter. He knew who one was, at the very least, and the other looked somewhat familiar, but he just couldn't figure out what it was. After a few moments, he shook his head again, he was getting distracted. Damn his aging. "I don't know, Luna... Maybe we should just stay back..." While he wanted to get his daughter into safety, he also wanted to make sure that the fight wouldn't get out of hand.
--
'Just a bit closer... Here,' Iesuet thought, stopping about a hundred feet away from the fight, closer than anyone else. With an evil grin, its hands started glowing, drawing all the excess power it could from the battle. And all without anyone noticing. It was a perfect spot to do this, and this plan was also the perfect one.
--
Derik was burned on his foot by the hand, but to him it was merely a scratch. Without thinking, he leaped away and onto a building top before feeling the mental assault from Shadow. At this point, he knew Shadow would figure out who he was, but he didn't care. Using this mind link to his advantage, he focused on where it was coming from as he fought it off, soon spotting the hiding spot. Then, in a golden light, he disappeared. Soon after, every building in between him and Shadow fell apart, a golden explosion occurring where Shadow was.
Derik was a few feet away from Shadow, but extremely worn out from that attack, and if it worked, so would Shadow. He didn't even bother checking as he limped away to the starport, sheathing his sword. After all, he didn't want to miss his flight.
--
Rakith didn't waste any time, running straight to where Shadow was, not letting his invisibility fail until he was behind Shadow. When he was finally visible again, he spoke. "Well, looks like you just met your match, Shadow," he laughed a bit, leaning against the wall, seeming completely calm.
((Wow, it's been three weeks. O.o Sorry for the huge delay guys, I've been sick of roleplaying for a while. XP I'll try to keep up somehow.))
You're lying to yourself again Suicidal imbecile Think about it, put it on the faultline What'll it take to get it through to you precious I'm over this. Why do you wanna throw it away like this Such a mess. Why would I want to watch you.
Disconnect and self destruct one bullet at a time What's your rush now, everyone will have his day to die

((Heh. My bad. I didn't know it was my turn. Well, here comes late night crappy posting! XD; ))
Luna watched Derik, taken back by what just happened in minutes. Actual building had fallen from the explosion. "Daddy, I'm scared!" Luna cried, clinging to Zen. She buried her head into his arm, being tall and all for her age. "It's over now, right? Since he's leaving?" The child asked, sniffling. She didn't draw up tears but, she was scared that she could get hurt. Or worse, her father would get hurt. And that made her angry to no end.
Heather was already gone by the time Grace did her fancy staff stuff or crazy priestess work as Rika would word it. However, the only thing she caught in time was the golden explosion. Landing on the ground, her fiery wings disappeared, looking to the ruins of the buildings, barely some walls standing. Though... she felt like she just missed someone very important. Something kept nagging in her mind that it was Derik but, Derik wouldn't cause destruction without reason. Her eyes narrowed, looking around for that reason now. She seen Rakith but, she doubted he was the cause but, then she heard a name. Shadow. Rolling her eyes, Heather turned and began to walk off. Hopefully the man was dead but, she highly doubted it. From what she heard, he never stayed dead. Derik wasn't around and it ticked her off. It was only Rakith, Luna and Zen, which was no surprise, really, Shadow possibly, and that creepy thing from the coffees shop. Though he was far away from her and all. And out of all this, no Derik.

Serena laughed as she came up to her cousin. "Nasty." She murmered. Grace soon came next and looked ahead. "Serena, isn't that your mother and her pet?" She asked. Serena looked again and smiled widely. "Hey it is Mom! And Tali too. Heather, I'll catch you later." Serena ran over to her mother as her eyes also wandered. Mimi noticed her daughter approaching and smiled softly. "Hello Serena, Grace. May I ask how you found me?" She looked back towards the destruction and rolled her eyes. "Nevermind that after all. But who were you with?" She asked.
"That was Heather. Anyways, what happened here?" Serena asked. Grace's eyes saddened as she looked foward; blank. "Actually, I'm not sure. There was several people here, and suddenly a fight broke out. One boy fought amazingly, well they both did. Then there was another man. It all just happened so quickly and was over so quickly." Mimi mused and looked over at a man leaning against a wall. She shook her head then smiled at her daughter. "But it has been a while. How did you two get here?" It was obvious that Grace was deep in thought, so Serena answered for her. "Honestly, Mom...no idea. We just kind of 'poofed' here." She giggled and grinned widely.

Shadow rose to his feet shakily at best, using his sword to support him. All though his once abyssal black armor was once a polished void it was now a chalky dull color covered in dust. It was, however, mostly unharmed by some strange miracle save one piece. A small section of the chest plate was cracked and all though this seemed to be something of a minor damage Shadow instantly covered it with his own hand out of pain. Blood, almost simultaneously, seeped between his fingers.
At the sound of a voice Shadow suddenly forgot his battered body and lunged around aiming an equally dusty Sapphire at the man's neck. He stood still for a moment trying to confirm what he saw. It was the unmistakable aura of Rakith. Pausing, he contemplated who was the man he fought before; their auras were much too similar to be coincidence.
"A spawn of your's Rakith?"
