What pray tell is simple about any scene? Are there not always the nuances? Those microbial details that form the threads of a tapestry of plot, of point and of purpose. I am at best a weaver, and a mouthpiece for the delivery of their descriptions, by large and of their minuscule, individual parts.

I heard a quote once.
A forum post should be like a skirt. Long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to keep things interesting.
If I have to read a poem to understand that your character is walking through a door, it becomes tedious. Not because I am lazy, but because it does not fit the atmosphere of roleplaying in general. We are here to roleplay, not create a post of pretty words and clever grammar.

What is role-play? If we aren't fulfilling a role, a preconceived notion of what and how and who our character is... Are we not all simply "walking through the door" as it were? I oblige you... There are many aspects to this art. Many directions for the mind to take along the path to personification of a character.

Eh. I like Nation's posts.I'm appreciative of the different forms of RP possible. Though, like you guys have said, there are people who take it too far. But I see that as some of say...Argonon Kazama's posts. The guy can write blocks. x.x

I have to agree with Trinity here. Poetry is good in some cases, but that post ... I know, I know. I'm new on Gaia, blah blah blah, but I'm not new, by any means, to roleplay, whether it be online or in person. And poetry isn't roleplay. I mean, they've got the Writer's Arena ... go ahead and submit there, but I abhor poetry in general. I guess it's just my simple mind that just can't grasp the 'insintricities of the delight of poetry.' It just makes my eyes go blurry, bloody, and then die.

I dunno, just making that known. *laughs* I know that some people that I've met on other sites think that, because they've been there longer, their word means more than someone who's been there for, say, two months.
