Hello past self. Unless I made a massive mathematical error this should mark roughly my 10th Gaian Anniversary give or take some days.
How uneventful.
So lets see...
Only 10 posts per page feels really weird after being a member on another board that supports 100.
People have flash based avatars. And God help me if I look at the number of items that have been introduced since I stopped caring about my avatar. I'm guessing 1 million you can buy with gaia cash items vs just 6 with good ol' gaia gold. Chuck in some events as well.
I'd say that is one thing I miss from Gaia, Halloween was rather fun to spend on Gaia seeing as it is basically a non holiday in the UK.
Seems the big problem on no official threads in the VGD has kind of disappeared (I only gave me a quick gander) since I spot a few big threads for some games like New Leaf... oh wait page two someone made another thread about the game. Nice. Well at least I didn't spot a Link vs Cloud thread so I guess all is well eh. Is Sephiroth even popular these days?
Eh. Not really much point posting much more in a thread that no one reads anymore. They were fun years, but like UFO says above, we've all outgrown Gaia, or in some ways Gaia has just become more juvenile seeing as I used to speak to people back in the day who were older than I am now. I mean Gaia was one of the first boards I came across without a swear filter so my first impression of it was it was quite a mature place. Funny that.
So I'll just post one of my favourite moments of Gaian history.

EDIT: Animal Avatars and 2003 monthly collectables can now be bought!? Good God.
EDIT2: Oh wow. A pink link! I remember those. Except now it was a bouncing present rather than a link being pink. Free gold that will never be used!
EDIT3: So apparently most of the old staff is gone, they have a new CEO and the storylines are dead. I weep a single tear for this forum of old.
EDIT4: Honestly. This place needs a complete redesign. So much garbage space. Speech bubbles should be more compact (like they used to be), sigs disabled (honestly they are s**t), all that junk beneath avatars removed and being posts closer together.
Well I think that marks the end of my trip down memory lane. What an odd experience to re-read old posters of people long gone only to wonder what they are doing now (probably busy being NEETs wahey!)
