Kaita didn't respond to Marg at first, just watched her with his honey-colored eyes, blinking slowly as he finally opted to answer her with a shrug. "It's a place to stay," he replied simply, glancing at the man in question before adding, "and I owe it to him." He managed a smile at Takato's explanation of Marg's personality, but he felt it was not in his place to comment on that. Instead, he just waited and nodded. "Not planning on being anywhere obscure, and I shouldn't be gone too long." He headed off to the guest room, still walking as he added as an afterthought, "Oh, and don't worry about dinner except for yourself; I'm not hungry." Which was his way of saying that if a local teenager wound up in a ditch, it wasn't his fault.

The blonde vampire sighed as he snatched his bag from his room and swung it onto his shoulder, his ears picking up everything from the living room as he crept silently back into the living room and to the door, opening it and closing it swiftly behind him as he left. He found himself scowling as he headed down the street, allowing his senses to flare out so that he didn't have to worry too much about where he was going. He was actually planning on seeing if any of his friends wanted to study, but he had to make it to one of their houses first.

As he walked, though, Kaita's mind was concentrating on the scene that had just taken place in Takato's apartment. Could a female be any more obvious? It took him all of a minute to realize Marg was at least attracted to Takato (he had no idea what Takato thought about her since the artist was almost impossible to read) and it took him half that time to notice she was checking to see if he would get in her way. Fat chance of that. Kaita had no idea what Takato's preference was (though he naturally assumed it was females) and didn't really care. And it also didn't bother him about why Marg had been brought there; it was Takato's place. But a warning would have been nice so Kaita could have been prepared to meet someone Takato might have been dating. And so he could have known how much time to leave the apartment.

But other than that, nothing really bothered him, minus the fact that he didn't want to be sized up and seen as a little kid. At least, that's what he was telling himself.

[[-coughs- Oops? Hope I'm not too late with this response. ^^;

Well, I'll PM or comment you (more likely the former) after this, just to catch up and, well, inform you that you'll have a post when you're in the mood. ;3

First, thought I'd bring in a slight bit of jealousy, though Kaita's mainly just annoyed at how Marg dismissed him. Second, and this is a rather large afterthought, but would you oppose to me bringing in the vampire who turned Kaita?]]

Takato grinned a little at Kaita before he left to his room, "Alright. We'll order pizza, sound good Marg?"

"Only if it comes without mayonnaise. I seriously don't know what you Japanese are thinking. Mayonnaise and potatoes on pizza? Ug. Give me cheese and pepperoni any day!"

"You're too picky."

"You don't care enough."

"Hey, as long as I'm fed and healthy, I couldn't care less about what I eat."

"Even if it's raw steak?" Marg plopped herself on the couch, lounging in a classy, almost modelesque pose as she smiled at Takato.

"Do you know how often I get steak? Not that often. Yes, I'd eat a steak raw... mmmmm blood." He licked his lips as he cleared off the coffee table. "See what you don't realize is that I'm secretly... a vampire."

Marg snorted and rolled her eyes, ruining the attractive pose as she threw her head back and laughed. "You're so dramatic, Taka-kun."

He chuckled a little himself as the kid left, watching the door shut. To be honest, he hadn't hung around Kaita much lately, and he was feeling a little bad about it. He figured the kid was used to being alone, but that didn't mean he couldn't chill. But with the portfolio and the homework and work itself... he returned his attention to Marg. "So what was it you wanted to do? You know I'm bad at coming up with things to do with people."

"Oh I know, such a recluse~" Marg curled up her feet and hugged her knees, her bright green eyes sparkling mischievously. "I brought a movie!" She whipped out an American Romance movie from somewhere and tossed it at him. "Let's watch it!"

"In English?" Takato picked it up and studied the front.

"You have to learn English somehow, right?" Marg snatched the movie back and bopped him over the head. "Now, where's your computer? I'm not watching this on that dinky tv screen..."

((:3 Did I ever show you that other picture of Takato and Kaita that I drew? I wanna draw another one. XD

And it's never too late to respond!! biggrin We've been doing this sporadically for two years, almost three! I love it's random responses. :3 It's nice to know there's no pressure on responding.

And I don't mind at all if you bring in his old teacher. :3 That'd be interesting...))

Kaita frowned as he looked up at the house he'd come to a stop at, knowing the moment he got there that his friend wasn't home. Sighing, he looked around, trying to figure out which friend was closest to this house. Calculating that he'd have to walk at least a mile to get to a different friend's house, the blonde vampire scowled and decided he would just have to walk around. Setting his thoughts on the nearby library, Kaita set off in that direction, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he lightly kicked at the ground. He had been hoping that his friend would be home so that he could actually do something and have a little bit of fun before he had to go back to Takato's apartment. He didn't want to bother the artist with his friend being there, but he didn't want to wander the streets like a lost puppy and have some gang bother him.... or someone worse.

Shaking the thought of that man from his mind, Kaita looked up to see the library a mere block away and started into a jog to reach it more quickly. Granted, his jog would seem like a person who was running to get away from a serial killer or something, but he knew to make himself actually jog like a human, which, of course, felt unbearably slow. But he reached the library quickly enough and jogged up the stairs and into the building. Deciding he didn't need to study since he'd gone through the curriculum too many times for him to count, Kaita set his backpack down at an empty, secluded table, and started roaming through the library, pausing every so often to look at a particular book. By the time he returned back to "his table" he had found three books he hadn't read before and felt like reading. Granted, they were all mystery novels, but he enjoyed them the most. Sitting down, Kaita cracked open one book and started reading through it, ready to while away an hour or so before he headed back to Takato's place.

[[-blinks, thinking- Uhm, no, I don't believe you did. Lol. And go ahead if you wanna. I have no reason to stop you.

This is true. And the "no pressure" thing is definitely a relief. But I feel bad that it took us this long to really get to the next week... ^^;

Okies. Gracias~ -glomps and snuggles-]]
