A dusty old book sits amoung the clutter dispersed on the table on front of you. After blowing the dust from the leather bound cover the title almost dances on front of you...
"The Site B Chronicles."
You thumb through the pages and finally return to the beginning...
"Era One."

Site B & Facility X Saga
Having rebelled against an oppressive regime in the Neo Rev Corp a group of scientists broke away taking their valuable research on a revival virus with them. This group, under the control of a mysterious figure called X, set up their experiment in a small building in the centre of a forest. This building, was Site B, a legacy which would consume the lives of all those who originally entered those doors. On many occasions consume would not be an adequate word.
The building itself loomed like a devilish beast on a dark horizon. Eclipsed within the body of the forest, nobody knew what went on within the walls of this building. The truth would have shocked them so much that it was kept hidden away between the thick concrete walls. Behind the reinforced glass windows, the steel shutters and the tall fences. Not to mention the guard boxes located all around the perimeter. This area was almost impenetrable. It was a shame that attacks from the outside were the least of the problems that the Site B crew would have to contend with.
Facility X Saga After an incident within the labs left Tao Kai Tze in an altered state things became confused- until a call was received from a mysterious island- a woman who claimed that she was in mortal danger and the only people who could possibly help were those scientists from Site B. The group, including the oddly behaved Tao, headed for the co-ordinates of the island to find a facility which had been plunged into chaos. One which held more secrets that those within the walls of their very own Site B. One controlled by the very man who organised the Site B Crew, X.
The Facility X employees had been working on an army of clones- whose genetics had been enhanced and also been fitted with the latest in cybernetic technology. These enhanced clones had malfunctioned, a programming error sent them insane and they were now hell bent on destroying all those who dwelled within the world. They considered themselves the next stage of evolution.
With the help of the mysterious woman, Carmel Von Sant, the group worked their way through the deceit and the chaos of the facility to discover that the army who were terrorising the island were clones of Tao Kai Tze. The one in charge of the clone army was a genetic error, the X/Y chromosome which determines the sex of a child had gone gotten mixed up causing a female version of Tao Kai Tze to be produced. This was Chi Vu Tze, instigator of the insanity which had ensued upon the island.
As things reached their peak, a battle ensued between Carmel and Chi Vu. Carmel, the caring and misled soul was struck down. The group fought their way to the basement and set off an EMP pulse. This pulse swept through the building overloading the systems, causing fires and internal explosions. The pulse itself managed to stop the clones at the expense of the buildings internal structure. The Site B Crew made their way out as the building collapsed into nothing more than a pile of rubble- in the midst of the smoke a black chopper tore through the sky leaving the island behind. At the time nobody knew what a key part the helicopter would play in the future of the group.
As the Site B Crew left the destroyed island behind with no idea of their future, they knew that one thing was apparently certain. They had seen the last of the clone army and lost friends in the battle but the needs of the many, outweighed the needs of the few and the sacrifices of their friends lost in the fight meant that they could rest easy.

Revival Incorporated
With Facility X nothing but mere rubble the Site B Crew grew infamous in underground companies but Site B was not long for this world. Within a few weeks of saving the world from a clone army the Site B facility became obsolete. X, the man who controlled Site B, had disappeared leaving behind him a trail of facilities with nobody to fund the research or to pay for the continuation of the revival project or Site B. Until a mysterious benefactor stepped in and liquidated the assets of the X controlled businesses. This was the birth of Revival Incorporated and the beginning of a slew of new projects and divisions. Only this time it was not just a mere facility in the middle of a forest- it was an entire city.
Revival Incorporated Revival Inc spanned the entire of a city. It was a huge corporation controlled and operated in the most professional manner possible. One problem arose though- when you are controlling a company which was pilfered from a very dangerous man such as X you cannot trust anybody. Especially those who appear, at first, to be friendly and only have your best interests at heart. This was the mistake that the board of directors for Revival Inc made. They were infiltrated with the greatest of ease and unbeknownst to them a plan was set in motion to take them down.
The Site B crew, now working for Revival Inc were within a hairs breath of completion of their prized virus when all hell broke loose. The alert systems in the town went crazy, emergency systems went into overdrive and within hours of the first attack a rampage of insane violence had broken out. Not a normal attack though, something which belied everything the former Site B group had worked for. It was the virus, their virus. It was Revival. How, they did not know, but the group seemed to destined to find out. Screams echoed into the night as the gang locked and loaded and headed off into the town to attempt to salvage whatever they could do and muster an escape from the condemned town.
The un-dead beasts and mutated animals roamed freely across the town now, killing at will. Several more hours passed and it appeared that no help was coming. After an insane tear across the town from their office block the group had holed up within a building which towered up into the sky. With the systems on lockdown and Black Pawn, the security OS, being more of a hindrance than a help, the gang were at wits end. Formulating an escape plan seemed more than just difficult, it seemed impossible. To make things worse the group were being stalked by an unknown assailant. Things reached their peak in the office block. With nowhere left to turn, the building completely locked down and zombies surrounding the building the group finally met face to face with their stalker. Chi Vu Tze. The clone of Tao who was previously assumed to be dead after the explosion in Facility X.
A violent and bloody duel between Tao and Chi Vu ensued but was soon broken up by the Site B gang. Bono had managed to gain access to a weapons bunker and the gang were on the move. Tao legged it and as the group arrived at the weapons bunker they were disheartened when things went horribly wrong. The group had underestimated the speed and power behind some of the insane creatures that now lurked the streets and alleyways. A mass array of these beasts had broken through the front entry way to the hanger and were causing chaos, in the midst of this chaos was Bono was sacrificed himself to buy the others enough time to escape the hanger. Chi Vu was still hot on their heels and hell bent on destruction and vengeance. The hanger had been breached and with Bono dead the heat was on the group to do something drastic. Though, in the minds of most, the only thing which could really save the town was an antidote but they had to try something- anything.
The group, now left out on the street and fighting for their lives were soon to meet Chi Vu yet again, this time the battle would be final, it would be a match to the death. As Chi Vu appeared Tao made the first attack. What ensued was a mismatch, a genetically modified clone with cybernetic implants against a normal man. Tao fought as best he could, but his best was not good enough. Chi Vu struck him down, he collapsed to the ground in sheer agony, unable to walk from the pain. The group continued to struggle for survival as well, only against an army of insane, rabid undead.
As Tao made one last ditch effort to raise himself from the ground he felt a bite into his arm. It tore flesh from bone as he screamed out. He had been bitten. He was infected. He was as good as dead anyway but Chi Vu was going to make sure he would never return. She continued to beat away at him until he felt no more. No pain. No emotion. No feeling. Nothing. The group were finding things easier, whatever variant strain of the virus had infected the townspeople it seemed to be wearing off. The visceral killings were slowing down and the beasts who prowled the town were dropping like flies, becoming unconscious as their bodies began to slowly revert to normal.
As events reached their stunning conclusion, unknown to the group a helicopter had swept across the city. This helicopter and who was in it was key to everything- the outbreak, Chi Vus return and the reason why the un-dead who had enveloped the town were apparently beginning to return to normal. As Tao lay at the point of death and as Chi Vu stood over his body and whispered one final thing to him, a secret about somebody within the Site B Crew, a secret which would come drastically into play later on. It was then that several men rushed from the helicopter stealing away with Taos body. A figure clad entirely in black, wearing a mask to eclipse his face appeared. With a press of a button Chi Vu didnt even get to finish her sentence, she collapsed to the ground. She had been shut off by her creator. The instigator of the insanity within the city. It was X. He had returned to claim what was rightfully his. His company.
As the group came to realise what had happened many questions were raised.
How had Chi Vu survived? Where had X been? Why had Taos body been taken away? Was he really dead? What would happen now? What was the secret that Chi Vu had told Tao?

Dark Saga Part 1: Project Sixx
And so began the Dark Saga. A series of events which would consume and devastate the close knit group- something which would see an end to their work on Revival and ultimately finish off X once and for all.
With Tao and Bono both apparently dead after the destruction and chaos during X's retake of his company from the hands of the Revival Inc board of Directors the group were plunged into the darkest depths of despair but they struggled onwards. This time with a new project in mind. Something set up by X himself in a renewed Site B complex. Larger and better than before and hidden away on the outskirts of a small town. Disguised as a small pharmaceutical company nobody would ever bother the group here, they were free to continue their work with Ksrugi, Retloc and Labtech731 at the helm of all the projects. New members arrived to take the place of those who had fallen in the fight at Revival Inc but once again things were not as they seemed.
At the end of a dim corridor there was a door. Heavily guarded, protected with the latest in camera and weapon technology. Nobody had seen what was upon the other side of the door. Things seemed to take a darker tone when a spilt seemed to tear the group into two, with the arrival of a clone of Bono Vox things would apparently never be the same again. The once loyal and trustworthy Bono had seemingly made a mistake when creating his clone. It had taken the side of X, who was becoming increasing paranoid about what was going in within the group.
Project Sixx This is what lay at the end of a corridor in the centre of the newly relocated Site B area- Project Sixx. Something more sick and twisted than what anybody could ever have imagined.
It began with Ksrugi, who had been investigating what was behind the door. With a foul swoop of paranoia X had ordered Ksrugi to be kidnapped and taken out of the picture. A clone Bono, who had shown up shortly after the opening of the new facility, was now blindly loyal to whatever X said. He was given the task of finishing Ksrugi off. In a muffled argument and fight within the offices Ksrugi was taken and locked up behind a closed door where he was to be tortured for information on what he knew.
On a fateful night, as a storm raged outside the facility a plan was hatched. The group had reason to believe that Tao was behind that door, at the end of the corridor. They were not going to let him just remain there at the whim and fancy of X. Little did they know that an old friend was there to make sure their plan was going to go ahead with as little hassle as possible. Carmel Von Sant. With a little bit of trickery and two faced lies to X, her former mentor and father figure at Facility X, she had managed to acquire the key to where Ksrugi was being kept- the group would need all the help they could get if they were to succeed. While Carmel, unknown to the group, was freeing Ksrugi, Shinzo and Retloc made their move with Labtech 731 lurking in the wings.
With a devastating attack Shinzo unleashed his fury like no other and took out the guards who were protecting the sealed area of Project Sixx. With Retloc backing him up things were heated but they prevailed and in the heat of the chaos X appeared. Whilst Shinzo battled with the big bad, Retloc made for the room at the end of the corridor where the broken Tao now sat- in a straight jacket. A shell of his former self driven to the brink of insanity. As Shinzo bought the group some time, Retloc stole away with Tao. As Shinzo made a final attack on X things seemed to look hopeful.
As the group exited the facility, they found Ksrugi and Carmel. Carmel had unfinished business with X and stayed behind to put a back up plan into motion while Ksrugi, Retloc, Shinzo, 731 and Tao made their escape to the old derelict Site B facility.
X and clone Bono were now left alone in the Project 6 Facility. This was not the end. X would not be beaten so easily and with Carmel at his side helping him, or so he thought, he was going to be unstoppable in the final battle.
More questions were raised. What was Carmel doing back? Why had Bonos clone become evil? What had X done to Tao? What was Carmels back up plan? Overall one question still remained at the forefront, what was the drastic secret that one of the members of Site B had which only Tao knew of?

Information Article #1
This information has been obtained directly through the salvaged logs within the Site B computer database. We apologise for any previous errors with the aforementioned logs.
Article #1 With the town that housed Revival Incorporated destroyed by Chi Vu Tze and her rampage for revenge against the people who left her for dead at Facility X things were bleak. The final nail in the coffin was X- his return threw the Site B crew into complete chaos and tore them apart from the inside out. One has to wonder if this was part of X's plan all along. Tao was apparently dead and Bono along with other members of Revival Inc had perished in the horrific fight for survival. At a memorial service for the fallen members a familiar face showed up- Carmel Von Sant. Claiming she wasnt a clone and had been brought back to life by X and his labtechs.
With Site B Version 2 up and running and Revival Inc in pieces it didnt take long for Retloc, Ksrugi and Shinzo to discover that a mysterious door at the end of a hallway led to a captive Tao who was being experimented upon by X in a bid to create a successor to X's lifes work- the H2K virus. After a daring rescue attempt by Shinzo, Retloc and Ksrugi things went haywire- Tao was rescued and the group fled to the derelict Site B building. Ksrugi unfortunately had been captured by Tommy Vox- a now loyal employee of X. Carmel who had mysteriously appeared at a memorial service after Revival Inc helped him to escape.
Things in Site B were not going well- Taos mind was an utter mess- he was barely able to move. The last thing Tao remembered was being told Retloc was a spy- jumping to conclusions Tao pieced a flawed story together in his fragile mind. He convinced himself that Retloc had been the one experimenting on him and that the rescue was just a sick twisted game. After recovering a little energy Tao left Site B and swore revenge on Retloc and the others for their so called betrayal. He arrived at V2 and informed X of the groups where abouts in exchange for a cure to whatever Tao had been infected with. His wish was granted and he was soon at full health and on his way to Site B by X's side to finish off his former colleges.
This is where our story picks up. Tao, X and Tommy have arrived via the underground train system at the original Site B with the intentions of finishing off Retloc, Ksrugi and Braveshinzo who have already been warned by Carmel of X's impending arrival.

Dark Saga Part 2: The Derelict
With Tao, Retloc, Shinzo, Ksrugi and 731 all hiding out within the derelict Site B building and X, Bono and Carmel all working together within the Project 6 complex it seemed a war was brewing. Something which would end Site B and the crew once and for all.
The Derelict Taos mind was in chaos and he had been blaming Retloc for everything. The great secret that Chi Vu told Tao- Retloc was a spy for an organisation working to bring Site B down. Tao struggled and resisted Retlocs pleas of friendship. As things reached a head Tao mustered the energy to leave the original Site B facility. Making his way back to Project 6 he stumbled through the doors to find X smiling, that devilish grin smeared across his face.
Meanwhile back at the derelict Site B things were getting worse, the plans had seemingly gone wrong and with Taos betrayal of the group things could only get worse before they would get better. All they could do was hope and prepare for the onslaught. As Tao waited in the wings of Project 6 he cut a deal with X. If he gave up the location of the Site B Crew he would have the cure for his infection. The one which X had engineered into his body while he was being held captive. X was only too happy to cure Tao. For more reasons than just the location of the Site B Crew.
Days progressed and nothing until one evening. At dusk the transport train pulled into the station and out stepped Tao, X and Tommy Vox. Things were about to reach their dramatic conclusion. The finale of the Site B Era was close at hand and with weapons and armour scarce, the Site B Crew looked doomed.
A brief exchange of words between Retloc and X led to an all out brawl and X finally revealed his true self- a beast of a man with the ability to alter his genetic structure making him superhuman. This is what Project 6 had been. Using Tao as a guinea pig, X had created a mutagen, something which was as close to perfection as possible. Unknown to Tao, when he had requested the cure, it was not for a disease or infection. It was a cure for the undiluted strain of the mutagen. However the one which had previously coursed through Taos veins was perfection itself. It has no flaws. If activated Tao would have become the perfect killing machine but because of the potency of the mutagen no man could handle it meaning that it was the reason why Tao was driven insane. The one which now pumped through X was diluted, it was imperfect but still strong enough to withstand any barrage of hand to hand combat and come out on top.
The battle for survival between the Site B Crew and X continued. Little did they know there was another force at work. A mysterious figure, known as Agent 0, hurried around the derelict building being commanded by none other than Carmel Von Sant. He placed explosive devices. He schemed and moved at the speed of light and with elegance as he worked his way around the building planting bomb after bomb. Enough to destroy the entire facility and any research that would have led others to create the same viral contagions that the Crew had created.
As things seemed to get the better of the Site B Crew, Tao was torn. As the brawl between Shinzo, Retloc and Tommy and X continued a gun seemingly appeared by Taos feet. Who had slung it his way? He didn't know, he didn't care to find out. Now was the decider. Who would he shoot? Would he use it to kill his friends, the people who cared for him or would he use it against the man who used him a guinea pig, experimented on him and drove him to brink of insanity in order to create a virus. Taos mind was clouded but within moments he pulled the trigger. Almost in tandem the building exploded, it began to crumble, the walls cracked and slid to the ground in a flurry of dust. Tao stood there. He dropped the gun and as the smoke cleared he breathed a sigh of relief as he watched as Retloc, Ksrugi, Shinzo and 731 ran from the collapsing building. He knew he had made the right decision to kill X even though it was at the expense of the Site B research.
This was it, the end of the Site B Era as the group knew it. With some final words and an apology from Tao they all began to drift off going their own direction.
Carmel and Agent 0 grinned as they watched the group go their separate ways. The Site B Era may have ended but the Sect had other plans for the group. Things, it would appear were far from over.

As you finish reading the first chapter you begin to wonder if this book is a work of fiction but then you notice a small piece of paper sticking from the back of the book, you gently remove it to find a picture of eleven people all posing happily outside a facility called Site B.
You continue reading none the less, you want to see how the story ends.

Durant Industries
Two years had passed since the destruction of Site B. The group had all gone their own way. Some had stayed in their chosen professions and lived normal lives, others had fallen to pieces. But the tangled web they were once involved with had not released them. Unknown to the group Carmel Von Sant, her Father and the mysterious Agent 0 had become embroiled in a war between another company- Durant industries. Durant himself was a former employee of The Sect, a mysterious organisation to which Vladimir Von Sant was a founding member. Durant had been sent in to Facility X as a spy years previous to the Clone Disaster. While working there hundreds of employees were slaughtered by a creature that X had mutated from unknown cells discovered in a crater. Durant was left for dead but somehow his body held the key to survival- using trace elements of the cells from the creature, known as J13, his body mutated them and he survived. X, fearing the creature and its power, had it chained and bound in an immense steel box and lowered to the bottom of a huge crater in the artic.
Years later Simon Durant finally discovered how he had survived and became obcessed with finding J13. He quit his job working for Vladimir Von Sant and eventually founded his own company with stolen research from the Von Sant family and The Sect. Durant proceeded to find J13 and began to clone her cells and create mutated versions of her with the intentions of causing a global genocide and setting his new race as the dominant species of the planet.
Durant being a very powerful figure head received information on Retloc, who had long since left Site B to take down other companies such as Durant Industries. Retloc was getting too close to the truth and Durant ordered Chi vu Tze to eliminate him. She succeeded. But this silly move drew the rest of the Site B Crew out to finish off Durant and put an end to his madness. Little did they know Carmel and Agent 0 were also working inside the building to destroy Durant.

You close the book, pondering over what you just read. A faint sense of nostalgia sweeps across your mind as you stare at the wall, your mind a flurry of thoughts and your hand still resting softly on the book.
Silence. Nothing but silence.
Hastily you peer over your shoulder, a slight feeling of unease and discomfort begins to seep into your mindset.
