EA president Frank Gibeau recently revealed a new take on the Need For Speed series. Gibeau thinks the low sales of ProStreet are the results of drifting way too far away from what the consumers wants. Instead of open world cop chases, ProStreet was legal closed track tuner racing. Gibeau promises the next Need For Speed will return to series roots and a new mode called 'Highway battle' mode.

ya i no because i no most wanted was close to the old one but you no when it come to what i'dd like to see them bringing back the free rome mode from underground 2 and i love the level of customizeation as well and the dyno setup was the best and in prostreet i like the auto sculpt i would love to see some thing like a mix between last four oh and sorry about my spelling

Actually ProStreet was more close the classic NFS.
