[color=violet]Super Cute Video about Himegyaru

Tokyo Kawaii Episode 3
PostPosted: Wed Jun 04, 2008 6:40 pm

FOund another video about Japanese street fashion (this covers just about everything...then end of the video is about Super Dollfies and Figures)

Harajuku Fashion

This video is specifically about Lolita...the bad thing abou this video is that the guy talks as if he knows everything about "Gothloli" as he calls it, and is wrong on parts. Plus his nose is huge ans it bothers me (his voice annoys me too) but other then that it's good segment

"gothloli"

"gothloli" part 2

not a very good video about Harajuku
Harajuku fashion

The one thing I hate about videos like these (below) is that people always have to come up with some kind of excuse for why they dress the way they do... for some reason people need an explanation and if you don't have one they assume you're a troubled teenager...why can't just like it...hwy do they have to justify it for people...

ANother video

Fairy Kei

Fairy-kei is sometimes cofused with Decora b/c of their similar elements. and even though decora and Fairy-kei share the same layered, childlike, over the top look they are different.
Most girls who grow out of deco move to Fairy-kei b/c it's cute but older looking. there isn't a specific brand for fairy-kei but most shop at 6% Doki Doki or Spank! (ppl often call Fairy-kei, spank)
Fairy-kei derives it's style from 80's children's fashion. Things like carebears, Jem,Barbie, Rainbow Brite, and My litte Pony are popular.
There are lots of combinations of the pastel colors, or pink and red, pink and white and pink and black. So, a pink variation is considerably abundant.
Like Decora, Fairy Kei is pretty much "anything goes as long as it's cute and 80's".
