lots of stuff to be talked about, naming stuff... other things, needed information, social structures and histories as they may define a character, etc.

To start off with there's the two that made it through the portal, Adia Novii and Haldec Corrs.

Haldec is a man of few words, born in the remote mines of the north and raised at a military academy equally remote. He was born with a large amount of natural skill and quickly proved his value, but his lack of people skills kept him from climbing high in the ranks.
(Vehicle-Fast, Division 2 Squad 4)

Sargent Novii as she prefers to be called, is much more outspoken. On numerous occasions she has been disciplined for it and just as many times for her temper. Pretty much the only thing that keeps her out of jail or grave is that the Novii family has served the people well for many generations.
(Weapon-Heavy, Division 8 Squad 6)

The two got picked up my certain Earth forces soon after they arrived on the planet, there is no official word on their location since but reports of Agians matching their descriptions have come in from across most of the Atlantic seaboards of Europe and America. The FBI has officially charged them (correctly) with the nuclear explosion of the original arrival town, thrusting them to the top of every wanted list in the UN. The Agian government believes them to be high ranking members of the resistance, with them being the target of many Agian activities on earth.

Although I think the majority of the government heads should be NPCs, if we could find some really stable and quality members I would love to have real players at that level dealing with all that political stuff and the eventual coup.

How should the population be set up racially, seeing that it's mostly desert we could assume there are a lot of people with darker skin, but there's also a lot of people living in deep canyons and caves, not really sure how that would effect things. I imagine the obesity rate is almost zero, as with the homeless. Most of the population probably lived to work and worked to live, so there isn't a history of adventuring, especially with the well established military; but since the period of instability with the dimensional wall there has been a lot of chaos and... I don't really have an explanation.

Agia is a very uniform planet, the temperature most of all, over the course of the year the northern parts it might vary by as much as thirty degrees (fifteen in ether direction), because of this the Agian people never needed a resistance to temperature change, and don't have much of one. Typically temperatures below 55 or above 95 are debilitating to them, and the only place on Agia where these extremes can be found are in mines (hot near lava flows).

There is a disease on Agia, fatal in 97% of cases and present in magic users and non-magic users alike (not contagious) where the body loses the ability to heat itself for an as of yet unexplained reason, in the last few days of the disease the afflicted will actually start to self cool, death results from the person being frozen solid. It is believed that the condition results from an unintentional access of the magical capacity in all Agians (magic users have the ability to control this capacity, in non users it just sits there for their whole life).

It occurs mostly in the 13-28 age range with no gender preference, countless studies have proved nothing as to what causes it to begin, and cures fail more often than they work with no real consistency, though studies have proven that any medicinal treatments have had nothing to do with the condition being cured.

Symptoms include:
a period of depression usually starting more than one week before the chills (The depression is a symptom not a cause)
For a period of time roughly equal to the depression phase the afflicted will feel unusually cold but nothing serious
After that their temperature will drop to the point that they can't function anymore, this usually lasts five days.
Then they will start to self cool, causing them to become incoherent and disoriented, sometimes comatose.
For the last twenty four hours the self cooling steps up to hyper mode, by the end of the day they will be a block of ice.

Long standing beliefs say the afflicted has been possessed by a demon of some sort or another, and if you were to end their life out of mercy the demon would turn to you for stealing their original source of food. When someone recovers it is believed they defeated the demon and are hailed as champions.

Sargent Novii has for the better part of the last two decades operated as executor to High General Goh Ziess. Initially she gained the position as a way for her family to try and keep her out of trouble, maybe learn some restraint, but prior to Ziess' death during the revolt their relationship had grown to the point that rumors of their romantic involvement were commonplace.

Goh Ziess was an extremely high ranked weapon from Deak, a state near the equator, passed the great sands from the capitol. Deak was known for a high output of iron ore, and as such had become an industrial center for the world. It did not however have a heritage of weapons, so it was very peculiar when 13 year old Goh Ziess defeated one hundred and seventy eight of division seven's soldiers in a tournament, in a row; what's more surprising is that he demanded to do so blindfolded, more on that later. The captain of division seven immediately sent him to the royal academy at Ro'dia, partly because he had the skill and partly to prevent that sort of thing from happening again. And so began the legacy of Goh Ziess.

The Ziess family heritage has been host to a neurological disease for the better part of it's pedigree. the disease causes they sensory pathways to fuse together over time, resulting in exceptional response times and clarity, but causing the signals to become intertwined to a debilitating level, Goh found that if he purposely blinded himself it would cancel out this last effect and give him a powerful leg up over his adversaries. Initially he would only wear the blindfold in combat but at the age of 24 the fusion had progressed so far that he was forced to wear it constantly.

It is not clear why Goh's abilities diverted from the lineage of hardy tools that gave birth to him, but in the process he was also endowed with a level of talent that has only been matched by three others.

Near the end of his career Ziess had become increasingly skeptical of the council's leadership, and is believed to have had a part in the founding of the resistance, only reinforced by Novii's defection. Consulate investigation ruled that Novii acted on her own, but have so far refused to release the details of their finding, suggesting the ruling was made to keep those loyal to him loyal to the council.
