"Number" Aspies -
-excellent at seeing patterns, especially if said patterns involve numbers and/or letters
-many seem to be considered "geniuses"

"World" Aspies -
-able to write stories involving a "new world" with complex political systems, types/races of people/creatures, customs/styles, media, laws, and possibly new scientific laws
-seem very interested and involved in fandom; some become fandom "big names" and are said to "know everything there is to know about __________"
-quite a few are active in fanfiction communities and have the startling ability to create original characters who (gasp!) aren't Mary-Sues
-many seem interested in history
-many seem interested in politics, often a certain issue (such as, say, they are very interested in debating capital punishment or the environment) and may be activists for a certain side of the debate
-many seem very interested in religion and spirituality
-very interested in specific movies, TV shows, anime, manga, comics, etc. and can discuss them for hours
-excellent at essays and articles; usually very well-researched
-often very involved in RPGs and may have several characters with complex personalities
-many seem to become amazing authors and/or journalists

I quoted the ones related to me. As you can tell, I am a World Aspie. I am very good at noticing patterns, however, and according to numerous IQ tests, I am practically at genius level; in fact, they say that if it weren't for my emotional difficulties, I would be a genius.

As for the World traits:

+ I like creating new worlds with different races, creatures, societies, political structures, etc. It's a lot of fun! I want to write stories about them, but I want my ideas to be fully developed when I begin... though perhaps that isn't the best strategy. sweatdrop

+ I am a total fandom whore. Case closed.

+ I do write fanfics, but, sadly, I do come up with a lot of Mary Sues. I try to make them as well-developed and well-written as humanly possible, however. Also, some of my "Mary Sues" aren't even the best-looking characters! Some are overweight, some are a little homely, but they're still funny or cute.
This is not to say that I only come up with Mary Sues-- I have created male characters as well, and they don't usually have love interests among the main characters. Hell, I've even came up with two male characters for Darkwing Duck that are gay for each other (as opposed to being gay for one of the male characters)!

+ I am mildly interested in history, yes-- just not political history. xp (I think mostly politics are a bunch of crap, anyway). I love learning about how people have developed over the years, like how traditions started or why we say the things we say or do the things we do these days-- where did they all stem from? I'm also very much into animals and evolution. Prehistoric animals really grab my attention! biggrin

+ I hate politics, but there are certain issues I fuss over. I'm really concerned in the things that really matter, like issues that relate to the human condition, or the environment. Sometimes I make opinions on politicians, but not because of mistakes in their personal lives, or slip-ups they've made in front of the general public; I make opinions on them based solely on whether they screw up or doing something fantastic. (The only real exception is George W. Bush-- anything he screws up, I make fun of him for it, or I make a huge stink about it.)

+ I am highly spiritual.

+ I'm into a lot of cartoons, and some video games series.

+ In regards to the last one and third-to-last one: many have said I'm an amazing essay writer, and others have said I'm a terrific author. I'm quite proud of that. ^-^

+ I have been in different RPGs over the years, and right now I'm in a LiveJournal RP... the ultimate amount of characters you can have are five, if you qualify, and hopefully I'll fill up all those slots at one point. Also, I've been on RPG sites, and I constantly made up multiple accounts. One good example is Kingdom of Loathing. I had three different characters on there to be a part of three different clans, and I wanted to play it more often than just the allowed amount of battle turns that players are given.

So, yeah, that's about it. Please don't hate me for being a Mary Sue machine! I'm a sucker for romance (and comedy, thank you), I genuinely love most of the characters I Sue-it-up for (not superficially, like "OMG he's so cute i want to marry him!!1"), and one of the main reasons people create Mary Sues is because there aren't enough well-developed (character-wise, perverts!) girls in whatever canon that's being obsessed over, so I like to do something about that. That, and a lot of the characters I like really need a girlfriend or really need to get laid. xd

Thinking about it more, I am definitely a world aspie. I've had more than ten characters in a single RP before, I got a hundred on my AP final last term, and debating is practically my life outside or roleplaying.

And I play WoW. 'Nuff said. But I get math okay, too. Calculus is easy.

I major in math, I write stories, I study linguistics (especially phonetics), I learn languages (Romanian, ASL, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and others), I used to make up my own languages as a child, I read fiction, computer science is easy so far.

Which does that make me?

Also, which kind is Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory? He went on about trains.

Again in 1941, we sailed a north'ard course
and found beneath the midnight sun, the Viking and the Norse.
I'm mostly a world aspie. I love creating new setting for RPs. I especially love writing backstories for nations and military conflicts. Military fiction/fantasy is my life, pretty much. That, and my budding USMC career. That said, I am pretty good with numbers.
The Iceland girls were slim and fair, and fair the Iceland scenes,
and the Army found in landing there, the United States Marines.

I'm a "word" Aspie and my boyfriend is a "Numbers" Aspie. It helps, when one of us is struggling with something the other usually knows the answer. xp

"World". I have a few traits from Numbers, but most definitely World.

@Shades: A Mary-Sue is a character that lacks flaws, is always right, and usually is the focus and gets all of the attention in fanfiction. The term comes from a parody of Star Trek fanfiction in 1973 by Paula Smith. There's a few different types of Sues, too. I suggest reading this article to get a better grasp on it. 3nodding

World, as is evidenced by my being a political science and history major, but I can remember dates quite well. As is evidenced by the, y'know, history major part. >_>

I am definitely more of a world aspie seeing as I'm more inclined to writing, and am obsessed with quite a few things. (manga, anime, jrock, knitting)

The numbers type seems to be more along the stereotype "outsiders" seem to have of aspies.

One time in high school, when i revealed to a friend that I have Asperger's, her response was along the lines of "Then why aren't you better at Math and Music?" She had this idea that all aspies are Savant's.
