(( Aw well you know Isaac's not an a** because of that reason. He's just an a** in general... XD But people who take out their anger on other users by manipulating their feelings into their RP character really annoy me for one reason or another. Reminds me of this kid who did that to me actually. It was funny. He was an idiot. Yes it seems so. But we don't have to jump RIGHT into the whole save the kingdom thing. I just wanted to get all my characters together and have everyone marked. If you create any other characters that you want to take long term in this story you can have them see the light whenever. Or can start it out with them already having seen it. Kinda like I did with Vayle. *yawns* Working on Shay's posting format. I like Kruz's. It's so religious sounding. >xD ))

Kavanna suddenly ran off, and this caught Vayle off guard. He stared after her, curiously. A light came from the sky, very similar to the one Vayle had seen earlier, and pierced her. She seemed to have noticed but disregarded it. What the hell was up with that? Vayle had thought he was drunk to the point of hallucinating when he had seen the light the first time. However... seeing it a second time...
He shrugged and returned to the thief he had just slammed onto the ground. The kid grunted, probably trying to recover. Vayle had slammed him hard enough to knock the wind out of him.
Just then a trail of light pierced the kid, who began shrieking and flailing on the ground. Vayle was beginning to think he wasn't hallucinating. What the hell were these rays of light?
The kid sat up quickly, grasping at his chest where the light had penetrated him. He looked confused.
"...the hell?" He commented, obviously not hurt in any way from it.
Vayle decided to steer the conversation back towards the reason he had slammed the kid on the ground.
"Strong for an 'old man', don't cha think?" Vayle replied, crossing his arms and looking down at the kid. "Where are you from, kid? Are you stealing from people because you don't have enough money to get home?" Vayle was trying to be reasonable and fair with the kid. The kid looked up at him, clearly agitated.
"I'm from Erasade, idiot. And why I thieve is none of your business. Just take the s**t and leave me alone." He growled. Vayle smacked him atop the head, causing the kid to let out a rowdy yell. "The hell you b*****d!" He shouted, holding his head painfully.
"Kids your age shouldn't be using that kind of language."
"Geezer's your age shouldn't be outside without an escort." He shot back.
Vayle's eye twitched, but he decided to overlook that one. If he hit the kid any harder it was likely someone would think he was a child abuser.
"Listen here kid, you're not even a human and you're guilty of stealing. You know what would happen if I turned you in?"
The kid swallowed thickly. Yeah he did know. They'd kill him.
He seemed to be a bit more cooperative once Vayle brought that to light. He just sat there, glaring at the ground.
"...It's what I do for a living. I don't have a family and it's my only talent. No one will hire me on account of my skin and the whole 'not being human' thing. How else am I supposed to survive? People do what they have to to get by."
Vayle sighed.
"Guess I have no choice then." He mumbled scratching his head.
"What are you talking about?" The kid ask, scrambling to his feet. He wasn't really going to turn him in, was he?
Vayle grinned widely, knowing what he was about to say would peeve the little guy off.
"I'm going to take you in and teach you how to live WITHOUT stealing."
"I'm not some stray!" The kid howled.
"Of course you're not. But you need help. What are you, thirteen? Fourteen?"
"I'm SIXTEEN, gramps." The kid spat. Vayle narrowed his eyes and slugged him again.
"Mind your manners kid."
"AND MY NAME'S NOT KID. IT'S KRUZ."
Vayle grinned once more. This was going to be fun.
"And my name's not gramps, geezer, or 'old man'. It's Vayle." The two stared at each other for a moment.
"I'm not going with you." He argued.
"Then I guess I'll have to turn you in..."
"ALRIGHT FINE."
Vayle had already won.
"Well I think it's time for bed now..."
"Wah?!?"
Vayle grabbed Kruz by the collar and carried him through the crowd. Kruz wriggled, shouting the whole way. Vayle stopped when he saw Kavanna glomping another young woman who appeared very annoyed. They had an audience. Vayle wasn't yet done with Kavanna- he had yet to bring up the whole 'rock throwing thing'.
"OI! Kavanna!" He shouted, grinning widely. "Did you find the person you were looking for?" He questioned, paying no mind to the crowd and the people throwing him odd looks. "It must be because of this lousy kid..." He thought, shaking Kruz a bit.

second hand of the wall clock
and the presenter in a TV show
♱█▐00▌0001||█

With her anger and impatience growing stronger by the second, Allusian took the chance of when Kavanna looked away. Raising her foot, she pushed her attacker’s face away with a punch, and then with a terrifying kick to the stomach. Gritting her teeth angrily, she kept her hand up, still forced into Kavanna’s face, as she struggled to hug her sister. Allusian stood, heaving an irritated sigh, and then suddenly bearing a very kind smile towards the man holding the boy, in a very similar manner to herself. To the two men, she smiled kindly, tilting her head to the right, even, green eyes glistening.

“Hello…I’m sorry if this dumba-…strange amazon, has caused you some trouble sir. Truly sorry. Can’t help it, really.” Turning her head robotically with a fake smile, Allusian faced Kavanna. “Can’t help it at all.” Swinging her head back to the man, smile suddenly sparkling, she spoke. “If in any way this du…lady has caused you problems, I will be willing to pay for it.”

The smile froze.

Oh s**t. I haven’t collected my payment yet.

“Ehehehe….yes…”

Kavanna pouted childishly as her face was smashed, and then her stomach was crushed. She moaned not in pain, but rather, sadness of her rejection.

“But I wuv you~~~” She interjected between the words of her sister, extremely oblivious to her mood. Glancing up towards Vayle, she smiled a bit too widely, fangs catching the glisten of the street lamp.

Between irritating hug attempts, Allusian lowered her palm’s location a bit lower, hiding Kavanna’s mouth. What an idiot. In this big a crowd, she goes and makes herself the center of attention, if her white hair and huge fangs aren’t enough. Jeez. But then again…

Eyes lowering to the captured boy’s figure, she noted his dark skin, crimson eyes…and fangs. He looked about her age, but then again, she’d never be sure of that herself. She smiled kindly – he was not her target of anger.

Vayle felt a strange sensation travel through his body as he was met with the eyes of this strange other woman. She appeared much younger than Kavanna... But she acted more mature. Vayle wasn't one to be picky of ages either... he liked her already.
"Erm, no not really. I mean she threw rocks at me randomly but I just wanted to know what that was about. You see I'm just a curious guy."
"Idiot! You can get a lot of money from her if you tell her a lie!" Kruz shouted, trying to wriggle free as he dangled in the air. Being held by his collar wasn't something he was fond of.
Vayle grinned at the woman.
"Don't cha just love kids?" He joked, figuring she was only a few years older than the boy he was carrying. He shook Kruz a bit more to silence him. "Rule number one: don't lie if your life's not in danger. ESPECIALLY don't lie to a woman." He turned back towards Kavanna and the new woman. Kavanna flashed him a smile, revealing her fangs.
HOLY #$*% Was his first thought. How had he missed that? That must be something else he could chalk up to his drunken stupor. "I really am dulling my senses every time I hit the bottle." He paused to reflect for a minute. "...a vampire..." He quickly disregarded his next thought and moved on. Great legs though.
The other woman quickly covered Kavanna's mouth. He smiled, hopefully showing that he had nothing against non humans.

o o c;; I am rather displeased with my posting style. xD REVAMP;D Although I don't like this one either. |D-phale- I am also displeased with Kavanna’s attitude. THIS ISN’T WORKING. D<

Vayle felt a strange sensation travel through his body as he was met with the eyes of this strange other woman. She appeared much younger than Kavanna... But she acted more mature. Vayle wasn't one to be picky of ages either... he liked her already.

Allusian sighed at the words of the man. How immature could Kavanna get? Just because she wasn’t living at home did not give her the right to act so…childishly? Thinking that felt weird – after all, Kavanna was hundreds of years…

Yeah. And what would that make me?

Sighing irritably, Allusian removed her hand from Kavanna’s mouth, and scratched the back of her neck, messing up the ends of her hair. The man had seen, but who cared, Allusian wasn’t planning to travel with Kavanna forever. Hell no. That would get her into way more trouble than she wanted. Besides, the boy around her age was evidently not human himself, and the man didn’t seem to harbor any ill nature towards him.

At the comment of stealing, Allusian shrugged carelessly. If the boy had wanted to steal from her, let him – she’d just make him get caught, out of the surprise of her having no money. Despite her sophisticated looks, Allusian was flat broke.

Looking at the younger boy, Allusian paused, blinking slowly. If this brat was taller than her…

Watching Allusian act all old and mature was beginning to bother Kavanna. Sure, she loved her sister with a…very strange devotion, but c’mon, people needed to smile. Sadly, her attempt of a joke was not particularly the best one she could have though of.

“Hahahaha…Allusian, is he taller than you? I bet he’s even younger than you! Aww…that’s cute!” She chuckled innocently, taking in the fact that Vayle meant no harm to her kind. Despite looks, Kavanna was quick. And she knew Allusian was aware of Kavanna’s fake stupidity.

We came to hate even those precious days we can’t return to, what can we do? We didn’t understand the meaning of the glory we carried. The sensations that should have been cast away are resurrected.
We accelerate and hide our irritations things like emotions are useless, but our hearts can’t catch up. The fallen angel swooped down on the scenario of rebellion. "Why are you outside the light?" I realized, "If I hadn’t been born as I am, would I have been ridiculed?"
Within in a selfless love we don’t know things like solitude. I gazed into the distant sky that reflected my nostalgia, but no matter how much I wish, I can’t be touched by eternity. Everyone who can stand is fighting and carries unfading scars.
Devastating sadness overshadows my heart and is cruelly repeated over and over. The stolen, fleeting light connects to the living proof. No matter the fate, I’ll accept it, and live until the last moment.

Kruz winced at the look the girl was giving him.
"I don't like the way she's looking at me, Gramps. Put me down!" He demanded, wriggling once more.
"It's probably because you're such a brat." Vayle responded, shrugging off the 'gramps'. He was a little tired right now. He looked towards Kavanna when she tried to provoke the other woman.
Kruz heard the comment and grinned widely.
"Betcha I am. I'm somewhere around 5'4", and still growin!" He bragged. It took his mixed blood a LOT longer than normal breeds to age and grow. It drove him crazy... He wanted to hurry up and grow into a man's body. Sadly, Kruz didn't understand what 'maturity' really meant.
Vayle shook Kruz again.
"Don't be rude ya little twirp." He growled. The kid was going to piss this new girl off, and Vayle would be VERY unhappy if she stormed off because of Kruz's immature attitude. He turned his eyes back to Kavanna and smiled.
Kruz glared at Vayle. The old guy was cramping his style...
He gave the girl a rather bratty grin, rubbing it in that even if he wasn't as tall as she was now, he would be some day.

Allusian watched the boy flaunt around his height. Well excyuuuuuse me. Not my fault I’m short. Don’t care, even. Yeah, I don’t care that he’s around 5’4”, and I’m barely 5”. Naw.

There’s something wrong with him. He’s too tall. Angrily, Allusian grabbed Kavanna by the arm, and hurled her towards Vayle. She stormed off all to quickly, eye twitching in annoyance the whole way. Under her breath, she murmured, “Go away, and leave me alone.”

Damn brat. Stupid Kavanna. Stuck up ladies man wannabe. UUUUUUGHHH-

Watching Allusian storm off, Kavanna let out a loud laugh. She was quite obviously amused with her sister’s distress, for some reason or another. Nor did she care that she was clearly flaunting her race; it meant little to her. There were plenty of others similar to her, who hid it with great caution, though Kavanna looked down on them with disgust. Ashamed of their race of something?

Shrugging it off, she turned to Vayle and the younger boy. “Sorry ‘bout that. She’s a bit touchy about her height…hehehe...” Yawning lazily, Kavanna continued. “So… Wanna stop someplace to eat?”

"HOLY s**t." Vayle shouted, leaping out of the way. Women had thrown all kinds of things at him throughout his life -some of which are better left unmentioned- but a full sized person was something new to add to his list.
"That wench is crazy!" Kruz hissed, clearly pissed that he was being dragged about like a sack of potatoes.
Vayle made no move to catch up to Allusian, nor correct Kruz for his rudeness. He couldn't help but think to himself, 'That is one crazy chick'. He also couldn't help but wonder what the hell she was so pissed about. Then again she was a woman, and girls tended to b***h about nothing... Or at least, something that Vayle and most other men couldn't see.
He quickly turned to Kavanna.
"You alright?" He questioned. She seemed fine, but he couldn't help but ask. She shrugged it off as if it had been nothing. "Eat? This late?" He questioned taking a look up at the sky.
"I'm starving, gramps. I was going to get a bite after I pit pocketed the flashy amazon."
Vayle sighed. "I suppose we can... Got to take care of my new ward..." He mumbled. "Where were you thinking of heading?" He questioned to Kavanna.

Trampling on the remains of a left-behind dream, the whimsical death god stopped and stood
Passing by, it watches me coldly
As if to instigate a foolish sin
It shook and untangled its outstretched hands

Kavanna turned to watch Allusian storm off. A look of understanding pain fleeted upon her face for less than a second, happiness covering it in less than a second. Slapping her hand upon Vayle's shoulder, she smiled widely, and made no comment about Allusian. Kavanna knew of the reason's behind Allusian's anger, annd it wasn't just her height. For some reason, it always left the poor shr-girl...with a sickening feeling. A feeling so dark, with so much guilt, not even Kavanna could sympathize.

Then again, Kavanna wasn't necessarily the person to consult when it came to guilt. She rarely ever harbored any, if it had to do with death. Reason? Childhood had slapped her mercilessly.

Turning to the boy, Kavanna placed her hands on her hips, and looked downwards with a chuckle. He reminded her of Allusian, so small. Thinking of such things caused her to break out into a loud, attention-gathering laugh, no, a loud cackle, almost. Kavanna was certainly one for the crowds...

She yawned in response to Vayle's question. "I really don't know, actually." Eyebrow raised, discreetly looking towards Allusian's direction, to see her turn into a bar, close to the castle. Attention back to Vayle, Kavanna rolled her shoulders carelessly. "Mmm...doesn't matter to me, you choose. Just not anywhere near that...huge, and totally out of place castle."

It reminds me too much of something yucky.

Another yawn, eyes fluttered. "Wait...then again, what about that place, a little over there? What's it called?" Squinting her eyes as if she couldn't see, Kavanna raised her chin towards a cute little inn, a rickety sign. Blinking slowly, she read the nailed-on wooden words, 'Broken Angel Inn,' in a very good cursive. The second 'N', was half falling off, creaking every time the wind blew. Kavanna sighed with some amusement - the day that it'd fall off and hit someone on the head, she'd have to be there. Such a classic moment would be priceless...

Smiling at her thoughts, Kavanna noticed the life, the sudden surge of people surfing through the town. Glancing upwards towards the east, a beautiful orange, pink, blue, and purple dye broke through the sky, colors mixing together beautifully. Though the darkness was overhead, the hills eastward created a picture perfect scenery, with the shadowed orange sun rising slowly, but steadily. Cool winds passed, blowing Kavanna's short hair back, but not strong enough to blow everything out of place.

Dawn was beginning.

With a subtle glee, Kavanna's eyes eased, reflecting the orange glow of the sun as she watched it rise. Slowly, slowly but steadily.

Without pulling her gaze away, she murmured to Vayle, "The view is really very beautiful here."

Vayle smiled looking towards the dawn as well.
"Indeed it is. It always has been." He commented. He laughed, shrugging off old memories and turning towards Kavanna. "You mean the Broken Angel Inn? Yes I suppose that would be a good place to go. It's the best in the kingdom."
"Gramps, you'd better feed me too!" Kruz whined.
Vayle popped the kid on the head.
"I told you it's Vayle. Not gramps." He adjusted his arm, grunting. "And yes I'll feed you. I'm not heartless. Did you miss my earlier statement? What do you suffer from, selective hearing?" He smiled at Kavanna. "Ready to go then, miss?"

Azriel stood in an alleyway, his dark eyes locked onto the Broken Angel Inn which sat across the way. He knew his next move...

Azriel laughed quietly as he sat under a tree on the edge of the forest looking towards the city. Rays of light had erupted from the center, traveled heavenwards, then shot back down in various different directions. Some lingered above in the sky, apparently waiting for something.
He had been a bit surprised, however, when one had slowly made it's way towards him. It had stopped, however, directly in front of him. He glared at it, knowing exactly what it was and it would represent should he allow it to enter him. After a few moments of tense silence, he leaned backwards letting out a deep laugh once more and opened up his arms to receive the light. He was already going to interfere, so why not have a valid reason other than 'he was bored'? This was perfect for him.

Azriel noted that it was a little past sunrise. Glancing over towards the edge of the town he caught sight of the forest he had just been in only hours ago. He wanted to go back until nightfall, obviously disliking the sun. Paradise had been bright enough... He had seen all the sun he wanted to back then. Now, he thrived off the night and it's darkness.
He suddenly realized that he was parched and could use a good drink. Narrowing his eyes at the bar he decided he would enter for a bit, get himself a drink, and then retreat to the forest. While he was in, he figured he might get a peek at the others...

He unfolded his arms and took a step towards the bar but froze as he felt a cold chill travel, like a bolt of lightening, up his spinal column. He turned to see something in an alley across the way, shimmering like the first snowflake of winter. Now Azriel was a cautious one, but he was also a curious one. Not to mention he had very little fears.
He headed over to the alleyway, taking a step into the darkness and traveled deep into it. He grinned as he saw an ice demon with her back against the wall. Tipping his hat, he greeted her.
"My fair demoness, how do you do today?" He questioned, bowing. She raised an eyebrow at him.
"Just what are you doing, Azriel?" She snapped. He chuckled, straightening back up.
"Why, following the sound of your lovely voice, of course... I heard it's haunting melody call out to me and was prompted to follow it. When was the last we spoke?"
She approached him with graceful vengeance.
"You don't belong here. You know that."
"And yet... I was marked by one of your glittery light orbs, wasn't I?"
"You knew what it was and let it mark you." She growled.
"It's not my fault I'm so attractive, Ruhi."
"Of course not. But let me warn you..."
"You need not, my dear. I already fully comprehend the situation. But I don't believe you do. Even you are unaware of how Dyamion acquired the hellfire."
Ruhi appeared more interested in Azriel's reasoning now.
"And you do?"
Azriel suppressed a smile. Of course he did.
"You'll just have to let me work my magic and watch how the story unfolds."
"...Your magic is nothing more than acrid smoke and jaded mirrors, Anon. But I shall take the time to step back and watch your actions." She paused. "It's obvious that you do not belong here... but it's also obvious that you must be here. As long as you do not interfere in a way that would disrupt the plans of the Almighty Ones..."
Anon shrugged.
"My dear, I assure you... All I want is to poke around a bit. And maybe point some in the right direction if and when they become lost. I don't plan to disrupt things, but if it happens so be it."
Ruhi looked over her shoulder at the wall and sighed.
"Go then." She replied. He tipped his hat once more as he bowed out.
"As you wish."
