I've tried everything. Laughing, singing, insulting, making giant balls of clay out of it. But it doesn't seem that my food wants to walk into my mouth. Now I am starving. Any ideas on how to change this?

Well the problem is obvious. It knows you're going to eat it as soon as it walks into your mouth.
Just lure it into a false sense of security by offering it candy

every body loves candy.even food.how about tell it that if it walks into ur mouth, then u will give it candy.

Or, you could just eat the candy first, then tell it it can have the candy if it walks in and gets it. If that doesn't work, kill the food first.
