I follow a semi-eclectic path based on my mixed ancestry, but it predominantly follows Hawaiian traditions as this is the culture I was most brought up in.
That said I am a die-hard polytheist (and I have A LOT of deities let me tell you.) I also practice traditional Hawaiian magic which is an inherent part of the religion actually.
I know most people aren't terribly familiar with Hawaiian religion and I'm more than happy to elaborate on things if anybody would like me to. I'm super open about my practice, and I seriously don't mind questions as long as they're respectful.
Is there any proper term for Hawaiian Religious Craft? I would imagine there likely is...

Hey sorry I'm only just now replying to this. Been taking care of something things with my personal life. Trying to make things pono with some of the 'ohana. I promise I haven't disappeared completely.
Generally speaking it gets called ho'omana which translates pretty literally to 'mana-making.' That's a really old word, but calling Hawaiian Religious practices by that collectively is kind of a new thing. Our ancestors would have just said that these practices were a part of living pono (correctly) and left it at that. But really ho'omana is probably the best word for it as a core belief in any Hawaiian practice is that every action creates a kind of mana, a certain spiritual energy, and that to actively practice is to mindfully create that energy and put it to use. That's the short of it anyways.
I might make threads about it. I mean if you actually thought it was something people would actually be interested in reading, then I will likely consider that. I kind of like just short of talking about it in short bursts like this because I never really know what other's perception of Hawai'i is or what they know and I'm never really sure where's a good point to start, so I just kind or drop in on other conversations.
But then, I'm already starting to plan for Makahiki, so . . . I dunno. I might make a thread, maybe. Or something.
