Hello,
Thanks for letting me be a member of the Guild. I will try to help publicize it as well.
I'm an MBA student with an undergrad degree in marketing. I'm specifically aiming for a degree focused on marketing research. I'm an, ahem, *elder Gaian* and spent many years as a newspaper reporter and editor. I currently work as office manager for a small financial advisory firm, so I pay particular attention to the stock market and related financial issues.
So with this background, I would be glad to help article writers with proofreading as well as whatever crude statistical calculations I can do, lol. I took macro as an undergrad and am currently taking micro.
I own a guild called Gaia in the News and would be happy to affiliate with this guild -- I think we have similar aims in focusing on the fascinating real world details of this site.
We came about because of the whole Clementine affair, mostly because of my incredible disgust with the way the article was written -- not with any particular member and their particular actions.
So we function as an open archive for real world news clips. I'm a little behind in entering them but am trying to catch up -- story of my life, oh yeah.
Let me know if you want to make an official affiliation and we can work that out!
