It was an eerie moonless night. One in which the mind could easily imagine that the slightest shift of the dense shadows was a monster waiting to pounce. On this particular night one of those shadows did indeed move, a dark figure that drifted through the hallways of the mansion and peeked into each room, inspecting the various occupants. Unfortunately at this time of night most people (and Pokemon) were asleep and not worth the effort of waking them up.
The shadow paused in the middle of the hallway, slowly taking a more solid form. Tilting its head to the side it pursed its lips, listening to the soft sounds of breathing coming from the bedrooms nearby. Epi wanted someone who was already awake, someone he could stalk and then pounce upon, earning himself a delicious cry of fright.
With a soft giggle he kept moving, the Haunter gliding effortlessly along in search of some other late-night prowler.
Ooc: I really wanted to start some rp, even before his cert was updated and all that, so… anyone welcome. <333

Clutching her egg to her stomach, Parfait tiptoed down the hall towards the kitchen, hoping to get something sweet. A midnight snack always helped to put her to sweet, despite the initial sugar rush. But she hated walking around the mansion at night though, everything was so creepy and the shadows seemed to move and follow her around. She sucked in her breath, jumping forward, thinking she saw something. But realizing it was her own shadow skulking behind her, she breathed a sigh of relief and shook her head.
"There's nothing to be afraid, Eggy. Besides...everyone else should be sleeping now." The chibi Blissey shook her head. Though if there was one thing she was most afraid of, it was ghosts, and she had heard that there were some Pokemon of that like lurking around the area. The very thought made her spine crawl. Or was it that other feeling like she wasn't the only one not in bed...

Epi moved along in complete silence, listening carefully until he found exactly what he wanted. Coming down the hall was the light pitter-patter of feet. The breathing soon reached his ears wasn’t the steady breaths of the sleeping but the faster, irregular of someone awake. The Haunter instantly blended with the shadows and waited, his body giving a quiver of anticipation.
The wait wasn’t long. Along came the small, pink Pokemon. This would be so simple and perfect; Epi couldn’t have scripted it better. It was easy to see that she was already afraid and jumpy, talking to the egg cradled in her arms. While Epi knew this could be quick and easy as pie, he really wanted to take his time… build the fear a little.
Carefully hidden, the ghost let her pass him by and then moved into position behind her. Using her shadow Epi began stalking the Blissey, occasionally darting into her peripheral vision.

She was starting to feel a little better, the kitchen not to far away now. It still amazed her how big the mansion was. She hadn't even begun to explore it. Though, the idea didn't really look to exciting now, in the darkness. She could hear sounds, like footsteps...or perhaps the building settling...it was all so unnerving. She'd be happy to be in the well lit kitchen with a piece of cake and glass of milk. The thought calmed her a bit, smiling in anticipation to herself, when she thought she caught something out of the corner of her eye.
She spun around, ready to throw her egg at whatever menacing thing could be there. But there was nothing. "..G.g..go away!" She lowered her arm, bringing the egg back to the safety of it's pouch. She felt a little foolish, blushing a little at what a scaredy cat she was. Of course there was no one there. But that didn't stop her from bolting the rest of the way to kitchen. She wished she'd woken up a bigger Pokemon to come with her....like Triton or Itokuzu. But both got rather cranky when woken from their beauty rest.
Heaving a sigh, she had reached the kitchen. Though she was shaken after seeing that thing materialize in her periphery several more times along the way. "Phew...now we can have our sweets."

Epi bit back a giggle when his lurking caught the little Blissey’s attention, causing her to spin around in fright. But of course she saw nothing; he had already blended in with shadows, invisible to the eye. Then off she ran and he quickly darted forward, keeping pace with her all the way to the kitchen.
The Haunter let her go into the kitchen without a big fright. He waited just to the side of the doorway, disliking the bright light inside. If he went in there she would see him immediately and then the game would be over. Oh well.
Waiting until her back was turned Epi slid into the kitchen and loomed up behind her. It was then that he felt a sudden loss at what to do. How should he scare it? With a frown he realized he didn’t have much time left before she realized he was here and reached out a hand to grab her shoulder in a tight grip.
“Boo!”

She had hoped that the light of the kitchen would dispel whatever feeling she was having, that eerie sensation that she was being watched. But it didn't go away. She pouted out her lip as she thought for a time about it, and what she wanted to eat. Perhaps just the anticipation of having a piece of cake was all it was.
She opened the fridge, pouring herself a glass of milk and uncovering a cake set on the counter, cutting herself a large piece. As she was carrying it to the table, that odd feeling intensified.....then she felt a hand on her shoulder followed by a terrifying 'Boo'.
"AAAAH!! NO!! GO AWAY!!" Not really thinking, she spun around and chucked the plate, the cake it had been carrying, and the glass of milk at what she could only imagine was a horrible scary ghost trying to get her. She ran a bit hysterically, her feet spinning on the floor, leaping to hide under the table....though it did little to render her invisible from him.
Then the passing thought that it wasn't a ghost, but a person or Pokemon trying to scare her went through her mind....covered in cake and milk...on my...She forced her eyes open, her curiosity a step ahead of her fear for the time being.

Epi’s laughter was suddenly silenced a plate thrown at his head. The glass of milk fell to the floor and shattered with a loud crash. The plate nearly knocked him senseless, but it soon dropped to the ground to join the broken glass, leaving behind the cake. The cake was smeared comically across the startled Haunter’s face.
While rubbing the side of his ruefully, his tongue snuck out and cleaned most of the sugary treat away. “Mm, sweet.” Well, having things thrown at him was okay as long as he got something tasty afterwards… even if it did make a mess all over him.
He slowly turned his attention back to Parfait. Finding the pink girl hiding under the table he drifted closer, bending over to peer underneath. “I see you!” Epi said with a wide grin. The Haunter was hoping that she would still be frightened, even though he knew that in the light he wasn’t exactly fearsome to look at.

MoonAs these things happened in this eerie night, Moon, who was looking out his rooms window, reminiscing the good times he had when the real Moon in the sky was there, wondered why the Moon wasn't present today. He wondered and wondered, and he finally came to a conclusion. It was a sign, A sign that the Moon is covered by clouds, clouds of perhaps sdness, or fear, or maybe just boredom. Boredom big enough to make him do something. So he finally decided to get up and go out of his room but before he did this, he grabbed a quick snack, and soon found out that his snack was the last he had in stock before his owner would refill them for quite some time. So he went slowly out of his little room to head to the kitchen, he saw a ghost like figure doing things unclear to his sight under the table, he was shocked by this and used a light screen in fear that he might get hurt by some danger, but all his light screen did was flash a light towards the direction which may have disturbed the two pokemon who were actually there... He slightly bit his lip and then said to himself...
"I-i... I can do this!"
He was intending to move on but, his fear held him in place...
