Hello folks and welcome to the publication guild. Now, before we get started on working on publication, I need to lay out some ground rules: 1. Follow the Gaia TOS. It's there for a reason. 2. When reviewing a writer's work, please use constructive criticism.
Now, as you may notice, this is a public guild. So why sign up to be a member? While it is true that all information on here will be for the public good, members will get special benefits: 1. Once I have gathered some basic publication information for everyone, I will start recommending members to certain publications. Basically members will have me by their side to support them through the process. 2. Member requests, such as requests for information or information on a publisher, will be given priority.

Why a Publication Guild? Why indeed. As I stated in the description of my Guild, I feel that there is a lot of untapped potential here on Gaia that publishers are unaware of. I also feel that the writers here do not know the system of publication, so I have decided to make a Guild to take both the writers of Gaia and publishers, and bring them together. As such, consider this guild as a resource when thinking about publishers.

Spread the name
As with all guilds on Gaia, it is important to find a way to spread our name throughout Gaia. However, I wish to avoid spamming and such practices, therefore I feel that guidelines should be set. If we follow these guidelines we should be able to spread our name without getting in trouble. (Thanks to iTweety for bringing up the idea)
1. Since this is a publishing guild we should limit posts about our guild to the GD, Chatterbox, and WF. GD and Chatterbox are pretty much random topics from what I see so a plug should fit in alright there, as long as it is it's on thread. Please do not spam on random topics. The WF, well it's pretty self explanatory there. However I would like to ask members to post plugs for the guild in threads that could be connected to publishing. (ex: any threads on publishing, threads on someone writing a story, ect.)
2. If you are going to plug the guild then make sure to state the guild name and our mission. Our mission, of course, is to educate writers on publishing and then help them get published. You may state the mission however you feel, just make sure you get the general idea across.
3. In posts about The Publishing Guild please keep any negative comments out. What I mean is do not attack a person or a group in the message in the post. Any negative comments said while representing our guild will be connected to our guild, so please keep this in mind when posting.
4. Please avoid spamming. This is a must. Spamming random topics will decrease our credibility as well as advertise to the wrong people.
Keeping these guidelines in thought, go right ahead and plug our guild.
