I'm not sure how many of you follow Harry Potter, but even if you haven't read it I'm sure you may recognize Dumbledore. Anyway, on CNN today I read (to my dismay, as everyone else had already heard it first):

Dumbledore was gay. And in love with Grindlewald. I had assumed they loved each other, but of course, that was out of fangirlish desire and perhaps I felt too much that I was reading between the lines.
Obviously I wasn't.
Anyway, this amused and elated me. heart

I saw it on the scroller as I was watching CNN the other night. At first I thought it was incredibly amusing and awesome, then I asked, "Why the HECK does a book character's sexual orientation matter to CNN?" It puzzles me, not in a bad way, though, of course. sweatdrop

I'm not gonna lie, I was sorta hoping that him and McGonagal would hook up. I really didn't catch on, and I seriously don't see why it was important enough to mention. Personally.

I'll second Forsaken. It's completely irrelevant, what with it being mentioned only after all of the books were already published and never actually shown. Besides ... considering how often Dumbledore's sexual and romantic life and thoughts were brought up throughout the series (i.e. NEVER), whether he liked men, women, dogs, oak trees or shoe laces hardly would've made any difference to the story in any case. >_______>
And who the heck gets that much publicity for announcing the sexual orientation of a fictional character?! [headdesk]
