"Well that's always good," he commented. "Being able to keep up with things and handle your own work. Very important," he said. Matthias wasn't much good when it came to having a normal conversation. But he tried, poor thing. But when you spent a lot of time alone, or listening to six other people try and talk over each other, you learned to be quiet.

"Ugh." Helen brushed at her sleeve, trying to bat out the soot. In her haste, she'd forgotten to wear an apron and gloves. And now she looked a mess.
Well, actually, it was hardly a spot, and no one would notice unless they suddenly decided to examine her arms. But Helen couldn't stand anything short of perfection, when it came to herself. Other people, though, she could care less about. She seized a pair of tongs and dunked the bar of red metal into a bucket of cold water. It would take long enough to cool, she figured. Time to get changed out of her "disgusting" outfit.

::Bo-ring. Madison began to fall asleep. He didn't mean to, it was just a really quiet day. He shook his head to wake himself and stood, putting an "Out to lunch" sign on the desk. Of course it wasn't even noon, but he left anyways and turned towards the blacksmith's. The one person he knew would be up and working.::

"Where is it...where--" Helen glanced out the window. Hm. Someone was heading this way. And here she had thought it would be a dull day. Expertly tucking in her sleeves, she hurried out to the shop so that she would give the impression of working. "Morning, Madison," she said pleasantly, tossing some wood into the furnace. "What brings you here?"

OOC: Oh, yay!
Helen turned the corners of her mouth upwards, just slightly. Just for a visit. How charming. "As well as ever, just as expected. And you?" she asked, setting down her things and leading Madison to the back of the shop, where there were two stools and a little table between them. "Would you like something to eat?"

[-.-' My computer has seriously been being gay. I think it's completely fixed, now so I'll be online more. Sorry if I inconvenienced you.]
"That's very kind of you to offer, that it is. And yes, please, don't mind if I do." ::He took a seat and looked up at her. His blue eyes were kind and as laid back as possible.::
