My internet has been a b***h lately so I've been doodling a lot. I decided to try pixel art again last night. I'm rather happy.
My pkmn trainer and Kecleon. (trainer was done in oekaki, kecleon and BG were added in photoshop because my internet crapped out)

holy crap they're so cute♥. D:
i'd do some, but i'm doing alot of sketching and flat colours for the comic series with my friend. of our pokemon gijinka. XD;;
i should do something like that of my trainer.
would oekaki count more as 'pixel' or more as a 'painter' kind?
people tend to mix those up. which bothers me.
since my style is more towards 'pixel'.

I believe pixel is technically drawing it pixel by pixel. In that case, the bottom one is not pixel. I used fill tool and tons of other crap.
I really did draw the top one pixel by pixel, except for the sketch.
Hmmm, I always call it solids and watercolor/smoothcolor. IMO, oekaki is solid but that basically the same thing as pixel.

the fill tool would be allowed for pixel, no? i'd hate to draw pixel by pixel for a giant mass of flat colour. xD
for my stuff, i'd draw first, then zoom in and nitpick at everything pixel-wise before moving on. =3=

Aawww, those are so cute! :hugs them:
I don't have the patience to do it pixel by pixel. I just sketch it out, then outline it if I want it cleaner, and then color it. If some pixels look a little off, I fix them. ^_^ Sometimes I use the watercolor tool.

awwww theyre really really cute smile
Haha i have a program called pixen, and it keeps quitting. I was making a really cute pixel and then it just quit and i lost all of it. sad
so i stay away from pixen all together. and photoshop isnt that great for doing pixels, and the oekaki that ive been using just crashed, sooo... sad
