"Good...it's a good plan. What do you want to eat?" For once, it was a nice Sevilin would take 'chicken nuggets' as an answer, seeing as he was rather beat as it was right now and he'd like to make this all painless as possible for the rest of the night. But Sevilin gave a chuckle as well as they arrived home, Sevilin pushing the door open and setting his son down, shedding his boots at the door as usual. Couldn't track that dirt into the house. "Yes, they are. Though you get the better of them don't you my boy? Not a better bug catcher. Speaking of which..." He kneeled down to the child and held out his hand to the child. "Empty your pockets."

"So, what exactly do these things eat?"
Malik leaned over the fencing adn watched idly, glancing over at Piper.
"We do have something they can eat, right?"
Though other than that Malik just rested his hand on hsi son's shoulder and watched the going ons in the pen.

"Party hm? Someone do something to deserve one?" Oh yes she knew what Lharika was talking about...it was quite adorable actually. But a look back to the pen, watching the little things clean themselves and each other off before taking to thier legs in that wobbly fashion. Of course once they seeme to gain those...they seemed to be taking care of the food thing themselves. Thus looking to her husband, "Lark said they eat pretty much anything, so I don't think food will be an issue."
He watched all fascinated like, all but climbing into the pen with the things. "Look! They eat bugs like Nym does!" Because a few were indeed chimping on the random little underdark things they found. Others ha taken to the random moss and cultivated roughage around the pen. But a look down to his in his hold as it made a noise. He was probably hungry too. Thus examining those in the pen again he conclued what to do, walking over to some slightly luminesent moss, grabbing up a handful and then holding it for the critter, who sniffed and duely started munching. Oh didn't that just delight him? Sure did.
Piper chuckled lightly, he was a smart one that boy. "Don't feed it anything like cookies now...besides I'm sure Ashlyn wouldn't be happy if you were giving those away to something else." A look back to Malik. "Our biggest problem is then going to be making sure they don't eat anything they please." Turning her eyes down to Lharika again. "How fast do they grow again?"

"Chicken nuggets!" Yup, sounded good. "Course I do Daddy, I'm deeteermined." He gave a giggle at that and then sat down on the floor, pulling off his own boots and cloak and toddling over to the little hook on the wall where his hung. Next to Daddy's of course and Zara's when she had still been living with them though his was just right for his little self.
Of course he had to frown at his father's order but he just sighed and reached in plopping a mulitcolored stone into his father's hand. He hesitated a moment but at his father's look, he reached in again and handed him a pile of dirt, a bug shell, a couple of pieces of steel and a funny looking twig. "That's everything. Promise."
"Broog did. He made me that necklace so I wanted to thank him in return. Plus everyone down here has gotten a party but him and I don't think he's ever been to one. He didn't even know if he could come or not but Malik said okay so he's coming." She glanced at the little draithixes now all shellless and wandering around, sniffing. "Mine is a couple of months old so...I don't know."

Hm, luck was on his side today wasn't it? Yes indeed...well if he excluded earlier happenings and focused on the here and now...which was never a hard thing for Sevilin to do what with his ease to disconnect from things as he pleased. Sometimes it was nice to be technically insane. "Determined."
And he waited as the boy emptied out a rock...though Sevilin knew there was more than that in there and he gave a look. And there was the rest...though Sevilin had to try and not cringe as the boy even put dirt into his waiting palm...why dirt... "Not too bad I guess." And the bug shell, rock, and pieces of steel were handed back to the boy. "You can keep those three." Thus to the kitchen with him to dispose of the rest of the items in his hand, wash said hand, and then get some food started.
Piper merely raised an eyebrow at the little elf. After all, if she had Broog doing things, and Piper knew he stayed downstairs, that meant a certain someone had been places that they weren't allowed to be without someone else in accompaniment. Kids, they got into everything. Though an amused look to Malik as she proclaimed he cleared everything for this little party, namely Broog's ability to attend. A little nod to no one in particular. "Probably written somewhere in that journal father sent."

watching these little guys eat everything they could find, and shook his head lightly at his son. imaginative and quick his boy. then a glance over at Lharika and Piper.
"I suggest we find that journal. last thing we want to find is that they will eat thier pen and be all over the place."

Lharika grinned. "They're not woodchucks Malik. They won't eat their pens anyway. They'll get splinters and those aren't fun on a draithix tongue. Nope, no wood for them."
"That's what I said!" He grinned happily when some of his items were given back. Those were going in his special collection upstairs just as soon as dinner was over. For now, back into his pockets then toddling in after Daddy and plopping at the table. "When's dinner gonna be ready Daddy? I'm so hungry I could eat a dragon!"

"A whole dragon hm? You must be planning some feast then...though dragons are an awful lot of work to catch and then you have to get thier scales off and everything, much much work." His tone light and casual, letting the child know he wasn't taking that as a literal statement. "And dinner will be ready in a little bit don't you worry."
Meanwhile getting out a plate and glass for the boy, as well as some for himself. Milk for the both of them and Sevilin rummaged through the fridge and the pantry some for some more things to eat...he needed to stockpile some energy and the best way to do that right now would be to eat. "You probably won't see me until tomorrow evening, okay? I have to get to work before even dark and early."
"I'm sure they'll be fine and we won't have to worry about escapees and the like." Walking over to Malikhai and picking him and his new pet up off the ground. "But...it's getting late. Which means things are going to come out that eat little elves." That was always enough to get the 'okay we'll go back inside' votes. "Besides, if Malik stays out too long he gets funny ideas about being allowed to work and so forth." Had to pick at him, but starting back toward the fortress. "Did you have dinner Lharika?"

Zykariel waited patiently, or about as patiently as a hungry toddler can and kicked his legs to keep himself busy so he didn't annoy Daddy. "Aww but Daddy...do you gotta?" His little shoulders dropped and he sighed then frowned at the milk set down in front of him.
He didn't want milk. Oh wait, idea! He got up from the table and wandered over to the fridge, pulling it open and pulling out a jar of liquid chocolate that he'd seen in there earlier. Toddling back over to the table he opened it and started to pour it in his milk. Then glancing up he realized that he hadn't exactly gotten permission and held up the jar. "Can I?"
She hopped down off the fencing and glanced around quickly just to make sure nothing looking for dinner was lurking about. Shrieking at a noise seh heard, she latched to Piper's arm, even though she was holding Malikhai and shook her head. "I was busy and not really hungry earlier. Everybody else ate already?"

"Now we talked about this, I have to. And then we'll spend some time together and I won't be doing any work at all." Because he was telling the truth when he told Malik he was taking a few days off. But he was buy pulling chicken nuggets out and plating them, giving a smile to his son as he went about fetching milk flavoring. "Of course you can, just not too much now." Wasn't like that container was going to be put into use in anything else around here.
Thus sitting himself down at the table with his various little munchy items and taking to stockpiling that energy he was going to need. "I want you to bring anything you may need for the night then too, we may be spending the night." Because Sevilin may be too drained to want to go much farther.
Piper took a moment to stop her teasing thoguhts of Malik and gave a chuckle as she shifted her hold on Malikhai so she could hold him on her hip with one arm and thus gave the other one to Lharika as she had grabbed onto the older elf. "Yes, the boys made me something and then something themselves. So we'll get you something to eat and then you should get some reverie yourself."

"I know we did." He was dejectedly stirring the chocolate he'd put into his milk until it became a nice chocolatey brown. Pulling the spoon out he licked the bits of chocolate that had clung to it and then pushed the jar over to his father just in case.
He surveyed his chicken nuggets and then broke htem each in half before placing them just so on his plate. "I'm staying with Zara right? But she's at Malikhai's house so I'm staying with him too?" See, he paid attention. He hoovered the chicken nuggets and then picked up the full glass of now chocolate milk and took a nice long drink giving himself a mustache. his tongue took care of that for the most part, at least he thought so and he wiped his hands on his pants. "You'll come back before night though won't you?"
She nodded and walked inside with Piper before heading for a bath for herself so Piper could Malikhai settled. She wanted to be clean before she ate.

"That's right, you'll get to stay all day at Malikhai's, that'll be fun won't it?" Though watching his son as he idly at his own food. Hm...chocolate milk. Why not? Thus dumping some in his own glass and swirling it around to mix it up since he was sans spoon. "Don't use your pants." Shaking his head lightly before attending to the child's question once more. "I'll try my hardest to, besides we both know that the underdark is bad at night now don't we?"

He nodded and reached for a napkin from the basket in the middle of the table then plopped it on his lap, open, the way he had been taught. "Things come out that like to eat elves, little ones 'specially." He took yet another drink of his chocolate milk and after licking his lips, used his napkin to swoop back over and pick up anything he had missed. "Tell Zara I dont' have to take a bath. She'll make me."

"That's right." Taking a drink of his milk and trying to decide if he liked the chocolate that was added to it. Though he gave a smile and a chuckle at his son. That kid and baths. "As long as you agree to take a bath tonight then I'll tell her that you don't need one tomorrow...but if you get into the dirt and are covered in it then you have to have one anyway, deal?"

Sighing he agreed. "Okay I'll take one tonight, but," He thought about that for a minute and then said, "Dirty means if she runs her hands down my arms and dirt falls off, I'll take a bath. If not, I won't. Deal?" Yes, he could play in the dirt without getting dirty, per se, but he wanted to make that clear to his father so she couldn't pull something and say he was dirty when he wasn't. "And you tell her that's what we're going by so she knows." Thus he picked up his empty plate and glass and carried it into the kitchen, depositing it onto the counter since he was still too little to put it in the dishwasher. Zara was afraid things would get broken. "Come on Daddy. I want you to bathe with me."
