Relinth would climb the steps and pause as he took in the view around him. It was far more then he had expected and certainly more then he needed.

"My... this certainly is amazing. When you found this... paradise, was it like this? I can't imagine something like this being so close to the ruins that surround it. It seems like a mirage..."

Relinth thought about being outdated again as he began to make his way into The Peace. He limped a little more before finding a spot seemingly at random and slowly sitting down crossing his legs. He touched both hands to the ground and closed his eyes while he continued to speak.

"My whole purpose was to interact with humans. I was to understand them so to better protect them from sin. My project was considered a miserable failure and I was... left alone without any direction. Eventually I fell into the darkness. Not only was I out-dated I had become dangerous.

What was it you did for our kin? If you don't mind me asking."

Nana would begin to note a slight silver energy emanating from Relinth spreading outward throughout the local flora it seemed to ebb and flow but did not yet seem to be changing his condition or the condition of the local wildlife.

" I don't know for certain if it was here before-- but it was certainly here after I arrived. "

*Nana would not elude to the fact that it was actually a present from her husband. An entire garden, a sizable chunk of the Citadel at that, and all for her to do with as she pleased. This garden was of course not used by Nana alone, it was for the family as a whole, and in this case Relinth so that he might recover*

" I......Watched. "

*Watched what exactly? The Heavens? The Earth? The Angels? The Demons? The Humans? Nana's answer would come slowly, after listening to Relinth's tale of how he became how we was now. The project Nana was from, was still in use and as far as she knew was not a failure. She had direction, had purpose, but still... she ended up here.... somehow. Nana would take a step back as the silver spread under her feet. Curiosity had her attention, as well as slight concern. Disturbing Relinth might stop the proccess he was engaged in now, so Nana would try to stay out of his way*

Relinth would remain silent for about 5 minutes without so much as moving or twitching at all only the slight movement of his inhales and exhales would cue Nana that was still focusing on doing something. The silver energy seemed to stay a certain distance from Nana leaving a few millimeters between itself and her though if she paid close attention it had begun to flow directly inward toward Relinth. Slight currents and waves could be seen across it. He opened his eyes while the energy continued to siphon in and looked up at Nana.

"Intriguing isn't it? Can't take credit for the technique myself. The monks were kind enough to teach it to me when they found me. Without a source of divine energy or the souls of other creatures to feed me they had to find a way to keep me alive. They had previously used this to channel the life force of nature into the injured to heal them. I was able to use it to sustain myself and surprisingly showed a much greater aptitude and level of control then them. I suppose my experiences with life forces before made me a more natural student."

The burn marks across his arms would begin to fade away and the wound on his leg would shrink as well. Now clearly visible on his Demonic Wings would be a set of some type of runes that seemed to glow the same silver color making a clear contrast from his jet black wings. For a moment Nana would even be able to make out the outline of what looked like angelic wings around his current wings. He continued to channel the energy but didn't appear to need as much focus as before to maintain whatever he was doing.

"So... you watched? Who? Why were you watching them? I never once met another angel on this world until... until things were unpleasant. I'm surprised to hear they might have been watching."

*So-- Nana would watch Relinth as well, while he channeled energy into his body. He was healing, getting stronger, and he had taken only a little energy from the plants. He was not the first fallen angel Nana had run into, so his appearance wasn't s frightening as he might have thought it was, even his wings*

" Yes. Hnn, I don't think I could do that myself. "

*Nana would choose her words more carefully this time. Relinth didn't like the use of 'Function' when Nana spoke before. Without elaborating too much, Nana would answer Relinth's question. She watched the humans, that was what she did. Interaction was not had, as Relinth had when his project was going. Perhaps that was implemented as a result of his project? It would all depend on when said project took place. Interaction with humans did occur from time to time, but it was more a rarity and only in extreme circumstances*

" The Earth, and the humans upon it. It was-- my job. "

The energy that was in the area shrank in toward Relinth and begin to swirl around his body for about another 5 minutes it wasn't clear why it didn't all absorb at first but he seemed at peace with it and rather lucid compared to earlier. He gave Nana a puzzled look when she first spoke.

"Don't think you could do what Miss Nana? It's really not all that hard... well to do it's not, to master it's quite hard. That's not what you mean though is it?"

The rest of the energy around the area was gone now only small bits formed into balls of energy which he grabbed with his hands and clenched down into a fist making them disappear as well. Everything would return to normal surrounding them none of the plants appeared very harmed at all so and he appeared to be healed.

"You watched humans, yet you never talked to them? Forbidden I'm sure. Job? Did you get paid for doing this service? I doubt it very much. You were told you were to do something and never given another thought. Sadly Nana... we were just tools not creatures. We were never meant to feel anything."
PostPosted: Wed Dec 28, 2011 2:36 pm
" I-- simply recover myself differently, that's all. "

*Sharing the life energy of other living things was not how Nana healed herself. She used her own energies to heal herself over time, like many other creatures in the world. Her way of recovery was less... flashy than Relinth's, but it still got the job done*

" No, for they could not hear me, even if I spoke. Paid? Why would I get paid? You know there is no such thing as legal tender in heaven. There never has been. No, you are wrong about that. We were thought of often... are thought of often. We do our duties, but if you feel that you were used as a tool then that is how you feel. There is no escaping that. I however felt differently, I was never a tool. ...and I'll tell you, I feel quite a lot. "

*Obviously Nana felt differently than Relinth did, but their experiences had been different ones. Her experience had been better than his. He and his project had been abandoned, he had been cast out and forgotten, Nana had not. Her project was still in play and as far as she knew was doing quite well. This was also the most conversation Relinth had gotten out of the woman since they began*

Relinth would stand up and take a look around for a few moments he was carefully inspecting the wildlife. We would after a few minutes of this search feel satisfied he hadn't caused any undue damage to the surroundings and nodded to Nana.

"Strange... when I fell they stripped me of my energies. Left me to rot and were content to watch me slowly waste away. I wonder why it wasn't the same for you? Not that I'm unhappy you suffered a different fate, I wouldn't wish the experience upon anyone. Maybe you still have some bit of whatever good they think there is remaining in you so you are still able to draw power from the divine for your existence. Either that or I really was a flawed creation. Matters little I suppose."

Relinth chuckled when she said legal tender and would start to walk toward the exit to The Peace. He had had enough of invading her sanctum and wish to return to see what he could do for Tyr for the moment rather then sit around. In fact sitting idly by seemed to bother him.

"I suppose I mean did they ever say "Thank you Nana" or "You've done a good job". Most of the angel's I've met were so strict and single minded on their task they would have never thought to question such a thing. My superiors were treated like robots and operated anything I saw like an assembly line. There was no humanity about it, maybe they handled me in an isolated fashion for a reason. I'll have take your word for it that my experience is an anomaly and not the standard. I never questioned our ability to feel, in fact you're much more human then any of the others that weren't dark and twisted that I've met. You are refreshing I'll give you that, yet still you've... Let me stop it's not my place to ask any questions like that. Thank you again for aiding me."

He'd turn away thinking twice about asking the next question since he had considered it might be a very touchy subject based on their differing experiences with the Heavens in the past and their philosophies in dealing with it now.

" ... "

*Nana would not respond to Relinth at first. The circumstances involving her becoming a fallen angel were completely different than his. To her knowledge, only 3 living beings knew how and why she fell. Herself being one of the three, Mastema being another and the third... Gabriel. She relied more on Magic now, rather than her divine powers. They could very well disappear at anytime, so keeping what she had was important. Then again maybe she was being allowed to keep them, Nana didn't know*

" Yes. Yes they did. Every time. What we do-- did... was and is important! "

*Nana would turn her face a little and give a peculiar smile when Relinth mentioned an assembly line. Nana was... well, more or less born in an assembly line of sorts. Five hundred male and female angels, constructed, put together, programmed. In that way, Nana was like a robot*

" Nnn... you're welcome. "

*Wandering out of the Peace with Relinth, Nana and the armed robots would guide him back to the medical building. Hopefully he'd be able to do more for Tyrsias now. Nana in the mean time still wasn't sure what to make of all this, stimuli. These kinds of interactions were still a little past her. Outside of her five hundred brothers and sisters, those who recorded their words, their-- technicians and the arch-angel high counsil, Nana spoke seldomly. Child angels were the only others to hear her laugh and sing, while she still resided above the sky*

Relinth listened carefully but only shook his head upon hearing that she had been thanked for doing her job. It seemed to him he had even more reason to be angry at the Heavens then before but as it stood it was a useless emotion to him now. He would only sigh slightly after she got done.

"Yeah... important. They told me how important my duty was. Not once how important I was. Though... it seems like you served under a different school of thought then I did. I suppose with my project being spear-headed by arch-angels you had to expect a bit of military harshness to it. Uriel did make it clear to me in our last encounter how little he appreciated what a disgrace I had become however. Let me say this though Nana, what you do here and now is more important then anything you did up there. This plane, these mortals, this world wouldn't have us here if we weren't needed. Never doubt your importance. Someone or something here needs you."

Relinth raised an eyebrow when she smiled. He couldn't figure out for the life of him what he had said that was so amusing or intriguing. Though to him angels were still a bit of a mystery. He had only interacted with a few and for short periods of time. Other then that he had only met them in battle.

"I'm sure I can get Tyr back on his feet now. He won't be happy to see me but atleast he'll be in better condition. After this next bout of healing we'll have to let his natural healing take over... if I create to much artificial material or try to repair to much his body could reject it. Regardless he'll be back to scheming and brooding in no time."

*A perplexed look would appear on Nana's face when Relinth told her who had spearheaded his project. The arch-angels had been the ones to OK her project as well, but it was completely different. A sign of the times perhaps. When mentioning being needed by someone or something here, Nana would close her eyes and nod a little. Those who needed her here were the ones she called husband, children, family*

" Mmn. "

*Nodding again, Nana would show Relinth back into the medical building where Tyrsias was. There was little to no change in his condition from when they left, so all was well, for the most part at least. Relinth could re-take his post on the opposite side of the table from Nana while he preformed what ever mystics he was doing in order to heal the vampire*

" I understand. I hope he'll be alright as well. "

Relinth would walk right into the medical room and goto work on Tyr. He would start by carefully unwrapping the wounds he had dressed and took note of their current condition he made another full inspection of the vampires wounds before even attempting to do anything mystical or magical in nature. He attempted to chat a little so as to distract Nana from the severity of the wounds.

"Well Nana... What have you found to do here on the mortal realm? You aren't a fighter that much is clear. You seem to have limited interaction with others judging by your reactions to me but you appear to have a truly caring heart. I can't see you as the sort to just sit by and wait. Being a watcher I'd think that curiosity would drive you insane, even if you're the first I've ever met."

He would begin to channel energy into the worst of the injuries using some sort of demonic power. This was the first Nana had ever seen him use this power, he did not even use it to restore himself which was at the least puzzling. Tyr's wounds would begin to heal at an accelerated rate as Relinth put both his hands on the vampires shoulders and just continued to channel the energy. He closed his eyes and a dark ominous aura would surround him as he did so.

"Don't worry about Tyr we've been through worse together. I've patched him up more times then I care to remember. He was always good at charging head on into a situation and getting himself mangled up. He never lacked for courage."

" ...I learn. "

*Though Tyrsias' injuries were severe, they were not the worst that Nana had ever seen. As for what she did in the mortal realm, she studied magic, taught the children magic she learned. She would create things, sew, play with the children, etc. Nana was far more sociable with her new family than others, although she did have a friend or two in the area. Twilight and Phia being the majority*

" Hn. "

*The dark aura would bother Nana some, but she wouldn't show it. It would be rude afterall. Though he wasn't the first and would certainly not be the last being to have a dark aura and use dark powers around her. Nana didn't like demonic energies much, as one would expect from an angel, but she couldn't help that now. Most beings in the BC were of a darker design, something she'd have to come to accept*

Relinth found the answering puzzling. Seems Nana didn't wish to elaborate on much, he couldn't really blame her. He could have been just another creature fishing for information to hurt her or the others in the Citadel for all she knew. He decided to ignore the lack of explanation and keep going.

"You learn eh? Well you're in luck then I'd say. Not to many years ago I fancied myself a teacher of sorts. In fact I had taught a number of people many things on this plane. It's unfortunate really..."

"His eyes would begin to glow a dull red color and his features became slowly more feral as he continued to channel the demonic energy into Tyr. The silver runes on his wings began to glow dully as well. He realized after she made a slightly displeased sound how unsettling the whole thing must have been.

"Believe me... there is nothing I hate more then calling upon these infernal powers. I don't think Tyr will heal correctly without an infusion of some similar energy to his own and like I said before I can't just create energy. This is my only other choice... as much as I hate what I am."

*It was true that Relinth could use any information Nana said against her and her family, but really it was just that Nana was socially awkward. Speaking to strangers wasn't her strong suit, this was evident. A quizzical look would be given when Relinth said that it was unfortunate that he had been a teacher. Did something bad happen because of his teachings?*

" ? "

*Nana would take a step back when Relinth really started into his energy letting. It may have been what Tyrsias needed, but it wasn't pleasant to watch... or to feel. When Relinth's features changed, Nana wondered briefly if he was a vampire as well. Actually-- what would happen if an angel was bitten by a vampire and turned? It wasn't a thought Nana wanted to linger on*

" Oh- ah-- Nn. I... I didn't mean it like that. "

*The feral apperance of Relinth was a stark difference from moments before, it was almost shocking. Nana would fold her hands again, placing them near her bossom. The look on her face seemed a little sad, or concerned, it was hard to tell. Either way, Relinth would be watched carefully as he continued to heal Tyrsias*

Relinth would stop channeling energy into Tyr. He took a deep breath and closed both eyes. He would hold his hands together clearly meditating in some form or fashion. His features would begin to return to normal and the aura of infernal energy would begin to dissipate from around the room.

"You see Nana although at one time I was the leader or an order. Their teacher, protector, and in some ways a father figure for many of them. Most if not all of them have been killed. At least we didn't die in vain, we fought hard enough to save some of the kingdom of humans we defended. Funny how many of them thought of us as monsters. Vampires, Demons, and all sorts of rejected creatures working together... it was my most cherished accomplishment. Now... they and any remnants of my adopted family are likely rotting. I was never able to find out much of what happened."

He opened his eyes after a moment and would look down at Tyr whom was rapidly looking better now. The change in how fast he was healing seemed puzzling to even Relinth.

"Hmm... strange. Oh well suppose it's a good sign. I keep forgetting Nana you probably don't know much of demons. When an angel falls he can fall and still retain the beautiful exterior and grace he had before becoming a perfect corruptor for the unsuspecting. Mine was much harsher... I was overtaken by dark thoughts and actions so I became a beast of sorts... and incarnate of vile rage. My other... well I suppose I mean I used to have better control over it all when I was a demon lord. It required being able to take different shapes and manipulate others to survive. I don't look back on those times or using these powers fondly now. So without as much mastery as I had before I as much use the powers as they attempt to use me. Using them to much I'm afraid would push me back into the depths of evil and madness. It's why I refuse to sustain myself with those energies."
