But that's cool, it was probably the Louisiana area they went to after all that, I always get the areas confused since i've never been told directly or found any information whatsoever in any encyclopedia, or textbook regarding history or much of anything on the Acadians/Cajuns.

And if you slow down saying Acaidian you can hear how the word in the states was changed Cajun. I'm not exactly sure why it changed, my theories would be 1) they didn't want associate themselves with Acadians, since they no longer lived in Acadia, or they feared another British attack.
2) pronounciation issues. native people or other people there couldn't pronounce the word or didn't understand because of the french accent and they had to change it to something simpler.

I dunno like i said there isn't much information on it and you think there would be especially in a Canadian produced Encyclopedia but there's nothing. Though i didn't look up Cajun's (since at the time i thought they were part of mexican culture.. how dumb am I.. but no my dad just recently explained to me that Cajun's are in fact the Acadian's that stayed behind.. or rather their descendants. since most of the original ones are long gone.)

But yeah my mom's Complete Acadian, so i'm half Acadian, i'm related to nearly an entire town in Nova Scotia in some way shape and form, it's scary.
