Kisame smiled, disregarding Damian's comment, continuing to hug them and blather on about great grandkids, marriages, wedding planning, and many other things.
Hakaru slept for a few more moments before hearing his new bride puking. He sat up and quickly went to her. "Kai? Kai are you alright, dear?" he asked, kneeling beside her and holding her hair back.

Damian listened to his grandmother, all the while holding his fiancee's hand. He wasn't sure what else he should do in that situation.
Kai felt Hakaru beside her and she managed to keep her stomach controlled. She rested her cheek against the cool marble of the bowl and grimaced. "Well, it wasn't something I ate," she grumbled, closing her eyes.

Mina smiled softly, bearing the fox's chatter. She'd be done soon wouldn't she?
Wrong! Somehow she also summoned for Otosan. Just for this moment.
Hakaru loosely wrapped his arms around her, one hand gently stroking her stomach. He thought for a few minutes before looking to Kai some. "Maybe... Maybe it's..." he didn't finish, letting her fill in the blank as he rested a hand on her stomach.

Damian squeezed Mina's hand reassuringly and looked up as his grandfather appeared. "Hello Otosan," he said. "In case you couldn't tell from her expression, I have a fiancee now," he said, casting a smile back at Mina.
Kai stiffened a little at the unspoken suggestion and looked up at Hakaru, her eyes wide. "If...it's..." She turned to throw up again and she groaned a little. She wasn't quite sure she was up for being a parent.

Kisame switched her focus to her husband. "I am so happy my love! Aren't you?"

Otosan smiled that crinkly-eyed smile that had become characteristic of him since he'd rejoined his wife. "I'm both happy, and proud," he said, nodding to Damian and his fiancee.
Kai looked up at her fiancee and put a hand on his cheek. "Thank you," she murmured. After a few minutes, the nausea faded away. she stood, walking to the sink and washing out her mouth several times. She shook her head and came back to Hakaru, putting her arms around his neck.

Hakaru smiled and wrapped his arms around Kai, kissing the top of her head.
Kisame smiled more, releasing the two and hugging her husband, soon rattling off about kids again. She was acting like a kid in a candy store.
Mina smiled embarrassedly. "I think your Grandmother is a bit nuts." she whispered to Damian, hugging his arm softly.

Kai, feeling better, looked up at Hakaru with a weak smile and kissed his cheek. "I suppose things could be worse," she said quietly.
Otosan put his hands on his wife's shoulders and laughed a little. "Sweetheart, ring it in a bit. They aren't quite married yet."
Damian nodded and turned to Mina. "It's genetic on both sides of my family."

Hakaru smiled more and rubbed her back softly, kissing her forehead. He then picked her up and carried her to bed. "Yeah. You might not have ever met such a caring husband." he said with a laugh, pulling some covers over her and sitting next to her. "You're tired. Get some rest."
"B-But dear! They practically are! You never seemed to have a problem with this when we were courting..." Kisame said with a suspicious glare.

Kai curled up under the covers and put a hand on Hakaru's. "Thank you," she said again, falling asleep quickly.
Otosan sighed and rubbed Kisame's shoulders a bit, shaking his head. "Dear, I quite think you're scaring them."

"Says the little wolf who tried to kill his grandkids..."
"W-What?!"
"Now look who's scary."
Hakaru smiled and crawled into bed with Kai and changed into his fox form. He nestled into her arms and went to sleep, enjoying the warmth.

Otosan sighed and gave a small, half-hearted glare to Kisame. "Damian, you may want to take your bride out of here before she completely changes her mind," he said, though teasingly.
Damian took Mina's hand and led her out of the temple, a smile on his face. "It was a few years ago; a long story, really," he said as explanation for his grandfather.
Kai, though asleep, curled the fox to her, resting her chin on his head.

Kisame watched them leave and flopped into Otosan's arms. "Love them, but thank gods they're gone. Now I can be alone with you some more."
Mina nodded some, understanding. She then hugging his arm more. "What now?"
The little fox murred cutely and licked her chin some,meaning he loved her very much.

Otosan shook his head with a smile and lifted his wife into his arms, looking down at her. "You wouldn't know that if you'd heard you," he said.
Damian shrugged and looked at her. "Whatever you want, love."
Kai smiled in her sleep, but otherwise didn't react at all.
