Just them pretty much taking over the galaxy.
Maybe someone realizing that they didn't really kill Fel.
Fighting off the GLF and IK, etc.
Not to mention the fact that Vaan is a laison to the EMPIRE and not Fel means that there will be some Chiss/Sith diplomacy.

I agree. I didn't buy the Movies for that reason. Sounded interesting, but so much work for a subpar result doesn't appeal to me.

Yea... That's my problem with the movies.
Its neat, but it just can't beat a good old home movie.
